Chapter 41: The Banshee Called Ghost
Fate found Shadow on the opposite side of the castle, still replacing the stone of Shadow Spire Citadel.
Fate did have to admit that his home was ridiculously large. But a villain’s home can hardly be small, can it? If Fate did not think it was an absurd notion, he would think that Shadow Spire Citadel had been enlarged several times its original size since Ruby moved in with him.
Standing next to Shadow was a giant woman in dark black gothic armor.
When they saw Fate approaching, both women stood at attention. Then Shadow remembered that her lord likes it when people act casually, so she slapped Ghost’s armor.
Fate stood before Shadow, and both of them put on a relaxed attitude. Shadow had already briefed Ghost about her new lord and his unique approach to being a noble.
Shadow smiled at Fate and said, "My lord, this is Amara Sterling’s second-in-command, Ghost. She is a member of the reclusive banshee race."
Fate looked at the woman that Shadow introduced and was amazed at how tall and delicate she looked. With her long white hair, haunting gray eyes, and deep red lips, this woman reeked of death to Fate, but that must be a figment of his imagination. Ghost looked like a fine, upstanding member of society to him.
Fate put a friendly smile on his face and said to Ghost, "It’s great to meet you, Ghost. Your master is a wonderful and kind woman. I hope you find my home to your liking."
Then Fate looked to Shadow and said with a rare serious tone in his voice. "Shadow, I need you to speed up your efforts on replacing the stone in the citadel. I’m not sure if it’s going to handle too many new visitors if you don’t get it done soon."
Shadow nodded her head in understanding and said to Fate, "Fate, if you want to leave Shadow Spire Citadel until tonight, with Ghost’s help, we should be able to finish the preliminary upgrades by this evening."
Fate nodded his head and ignored the words "preliminary upgrades." Then he said to Shadow with a smile, "Okay, Shadow, I have some people out in Valoria that I need to oppress anyway, so that works for me."
Then, to demonstrate his point, Fate placed his open hand on his ear and said as he walked away, "Oh no, I think I hear too many sounds of merriment and joy from the streets. I better go and begin oppressing the gentry now."
Then Fate disappeared around the corner at a quick pace.
After her lord left, Shadow looked at Ghost and said, "Ghost, I told you that Fate is unlike any master you have ever seen before. He is a true god given physical form to save our mistresses from the misery of their cursed and lonely hearts."
Ghost nodded her head and said to Shadow, "My new lord unleashes divinity with every step he takes and every move he makes. No wonder Lady Amara took a liking to him so quickly."
If normal people were here right now, they would simply say Amara likes Fate so much because she is insane, just like Ruby. This is the case for all of the MILF villainesses in the video game Blissful Paradise.
Every woman that Fate has his eye on has a screw loose, but they are all mature and sexy women with bountiful mountains and valleys.
Fate left Shadow Spire Citadel and went to look for a certain prince.
That fool dropped his spatial bag, and now it’s time for Fate to play one of his favorite games: the blame game.
After asking a few people, Fate found out that Nimrod was still recovering from the kick in the balls that Ruby gave him earlier over at the Church of Divine Promises.
Fate found himself in front of the church for the first time. These people had tried to kill him on at least one occasion that he was aware of. However, Fate suspected more attempts had already been intercepted by Ruby and her subordinates.
Thinking about this church, Fate decided to do something that no one in his last life ever had the guts to do. From this day forward, the Church of Divine Promises has lost its tax-exempt status. From now on, Fate will send his guards here twice a day to collect a donation tax from them. If this notoriously rich but stingy religious organization does not want to pay, then he can start taking some of the gold and silver shit covering every corner of this building. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Seriously, this church has a solid gold roof on it. Who makes a roof out of gold? Then there is the diamond in the church tower the size of a human head that Fate wants to get his hands on. But first, Fate decided to start with the solid gold roof as his first target. The roof will pay for a lot of the new taxes they owe Fate. Besides, Fate is not in a hurry to clean out everything from this church. They are a long-term fleecing target.
But first, Fate remembered that he told Ruby she could collect some teeth from Nimrod Bloodsworn, and Fate wanted to see how Amara would handle this situation. So he summoned them both with an ironic set of words.
"Oh no, look at this new woman who gets to enjoy my ten-foot pole tonight?"
Then, as if hearing a divine summons, both Amara and Ruby appeared at his side three seconds later with a fierce and watchful look on their faces.
Fate jumped up in fright for a moment, then asked Ruby, "How the hell did you get here so quickly, Ruby? What, did you pop up out of the ground?"
Ruby looked around vigilantly, and after making sure that there were no new women present beside her master, she relaxed a bit. Only her sisters have the right to enjoy the gifts of Fate. If any other woman gets ideas in their head about Fate, then they are in for a fate worse than death.
Ruby finally saw that their was no other women present so she said to Fate, "Yes, we did come from underground. We had to make sure that no harlot like that bitch Maria is making a move on our man!"
Amara nodded her head in agreement.
Fate marveled at how Amara could move so quietly wearing a full set of black plate mail armor. But after this moment of wonder, he quickly ignored Ruby’s words for his own safety and instead decided to get down to business.
