Chapter 27: Passion and Destiny

Victoria was the kind of woman who turned heads without even trying. Her body was pure temptation full, generous curves that strained against her clothes in all the right places.

Even in casual evening wear, her impressive bust and hourglass figure made it impossible for any man with a pulse to look away.

Liam Sterling walked beside her along the softly lit paths of Liberty Square, the warm glow of street light mixing with the cool night breeze rolling in from the river.

The scent of fresh-cut grass and approaching rain hung in the air. His voice came out low, deep, and filled with unshakable confidence.

"Victoria, don’t be afraid," he said smoothly.

"I’ve told you before we’re destined for each other. If danger ever comes near you again, I’ll be there. Every damn time."

They stopped beneath a tall oak tree and pulled each other into a tight embrace.

Victoria could feel every hard line of his athletic body pressed against her soft curves. When she felt his obvious arousal throbbing against her, a fierce blush exploded across her cheeks.

Liam noticed and gently stepped back, keeping his expression calm and controlled like the mature man he was.

Her heart hammered wildly in her chest.

After the raw, intense night they had shared that hardcore, no-holds-barred sex where he had completely dominated her, leaving her moaning and shaking with pleasure she could no longer pretend he was just a young guy.

He was a man. A dangerous, capable man who knew exactly how to handle her body. The memory of his strong hands gripping her hips and the way he had driven into her relentlessly still made her thighs clench.

"It really does feel like fate," she whispered, barely believing the words had left her mouth.

Victoria had never been the type to believe in destiny.

It always sounded too vague and unrealistic for a practical woman like her. But Liam kept showing up exactly when she needed him, just like that night at the restaurant. The coincidences were becoming too strong to ignore.

Liam stared at her with those intense, piercing eyes, his gaze steady and possessive.

A deep warmth spread through her body. He had saved her again tonight.

The thought of cutting him out of her life now felt impossible. Everything between them was spiraling faster and deeper than she had ever expected and God help her, she was starting to crave it.

"How on earth did you beat that guy so easily?" she asked, her voice soft with genuine awe. "He was massive over six feet tall and built like a linebacker."

Liam met her gaze calmly, his tone even and confident. "I’ve never trained in any special martial art. In that moment, the only thing on my mind was protecting you. When he insulted you, I wasn’t going to hold back. Not even for a second."

A powerful rush of warmth and admiration flooded Victoria’s chest. The image of Liam stepping in front of her without hesitation, fearless and protective, was permanently burned into her memory. She knew she would never forget that moment.

They continued walking slowly through the park. When they passed a small convenience store with its bright neon sign buzzing overhead, Liam casually bought two ice-cold bottles of soda.

He twisted the cap off one with effortless strength and handed it to her, their fingers brushing in a way that sent sparks up her arm.

Victoria’s mind kept drifting back to their passionate night together.

The way he had taken full control, the intense pleasure he had forced out of her body it made her face burn hot all over again. His touch was electric. Addictive. Dangerous.

"Are you really okay after that fight?" she asked, unable to hide the concern in her voice.

"I’m fine," Liam replied with a reassuring smile. "Security cameras are still pretty rare around here, so there won’t be any evidence. He started it by harassing you. I only stepped in to protect what’s mine. Just don’t come here alone at night, and you’ll be safe."

As they strolled under the golden glow of the street light, Liam reached out and took her hand in his without hesitation. Victoria’s entire body trembled at the bold, intimate contact. Holding hands like this wat if someone sees us.

"Isn’t this... inappropriate?" she whispered, though she made no real effort to pull away.

Liam’s grip stayed firm and confident, his thumb gently stroking the back of her hand. "There’s no one around right now. Don’t overthink it.

She hesitated, her pulse thundering in her ears, but she ultimately let him keep holding her hand. His palm was warm, strong, and reassuring. Memories of their night together crashed over her again his powerful thrusts, the way he had made her moan and lose control so completely.

Liam gave her hand a gentle, possessive squeeze, a small, satisfied smirk playing on his lips. This is real progress.

He stopped walking and turned to face her fully under the soft light, his voice dropping into a deep, sincere tone.

"Victoria," he said, staring straight into her eyes. "Give me a chance to make this official. I really have feelings for you."

In his past life, he had experienced far too much betrayal and coldness from the world. This time around, he would be the man who knocks at the door.

She stared back into his steady, mature eyes. After the raw intimacy they had already shared, refusing him outright felt almost impossible.

"Okay..." she breathed."I’ll think about making this official between us. But don’t get your hopes too high. I’m old enough to be your mother, and I’m also the mother of one of your classmates."

Even as she spoke those cautious words, her heart was racing faster than it had in years. Deep down, Victoria wasn’t sure she wanted to keep fighting this growing attraction anymore.
