Chapter 1155: World Reading
Aura Nova’s figure stood atop an endless ocean that stretched as though it had no ending. On top of her head rested Akira, her cat, who was sleeping soundlessly as though it hadn’t even noticed the teleportation itself.
The moment Aura Nova appeared, the very first thing she noticed was Rain standing beside her, and around them were countless other people from various races originating from the Dusk Planet.
"What happened?" Rain asked as he frowned deeply, his senses screaming with danger as he felt the potent Faith Energy and Chaos Energy saturating the very air around them. His face slowly transformed into one of complete shock as he finally took in everything before him in its entirety, his mind struggling to comprehend exactly how they had suddenly arrived here.
"Either their God or the Demon King is responsible for this," Aura Nova assumed calmly as she replied to Rain. Unlike him, she remained completely unbothered, her senses not warning her of danger despite the terrifying sight before her.
Unlike Aaaninja, Aura Nova didn’t possess the River Of Time where she could simply obtain information effortlessly, so she merely made an assumption without particularly caring whether she was right or wrong.
At this moment, she appeared even more beautiful than before. Her blue hair seemed more lush and dazzling while her sky-blue eyes had become ethereal and otherworldly as she stood effortlessly upon the endless ocean with complete indifference. Just like Aaaninja, she had only recently emerged from seclusion, but unlike him, who had already stepped into the Apexus Mana Rank before entering seclusion, Aura Nova had only just broken into the Apexus Mana Rank during her closed-door training.
And not only that, she now possessed far more power than before. But it wasn’t simply raw destructive power alone, rather, it was the control, the finesse, the ease Lucian had once spoken to her about, the calmness that naturally accompanied true mastery, she had finally achieved all of it.
At this moment, if Aura Nova fought against her past self prior to her breakthrough, then with her current level of control over her Omniedit abilities, her former self wouldn’t even be capable of launching a single successful attack. And not only that, she had polished her close combat abilities to the absolute extreme while simultaneously refining her Sword Intent, pushing every aspect of herself toward the utmost limit within the short time she had available.
She slowly raised one of her hands and stared silently at it before speaking. "Truly, I was simply too weak and naive in the past," her voice completely flat and exasperated.
Just as Lucian had once told her, in the past she had simply overwhelmed opponents through the sheer broken nature of her Omniedit abilities, which prevented her from gaining genuine battle experience. But now, that version of herself no longer existed.
’No wonder I lost against Anthony, Lucian, and Aaaninja,’ she mused inwardly as understanding finally dawned upon her. ’It was arrogant of me to challenge them back then.’
She lightly shook her head as though she didn’t even acknowledge the countless enemies currently gathering throughout the skies above. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
Rain remained silent. He understood that Aura Nova had only just exited seclusion moments ago, so she was naturally reviewing and processing the gains she had achieved. Although his senses were continuously warning him of overwhelming danger, he still chose not to interrupt her.
"Congratulations on your ascension," Rain finally spoke, his black eyes remaining fixed upon Aura Nova. Even though his instincts continuously flooded him with death warnings, he still congratulated her sincerely. After all, in his eyes, Aura Nova was practically like a daughter to him.
"Thank you," Aura replied with a faint smile.
’I wonder just how much stronger she has become now,’ Rain thought inwardly as he understood that advancing into the Apexus Mana Rank wasn’t merely another Mana Realm breakthrough. It was a complete existential ascension.
’Should I ask for a rematch?’ Aura Nova wondered inwardly as her thoughts drifted toward Anthony, Aaaninja, and Lucian.
After several moments of consideration, she lightly shook her head before deciding to focus on the current situation instead.
"I’ll handle things here. I’ll send you and everyone somewhere else within the battlefield," Aura Nova stated as she turned toward Rain.
Although the man hadn’t voiced it aloud, Aura Nova could clearly sense the danger signals his body was instinctively feeding him. Him remaining here was simply too dangerous, it was better to relocate him and the others to a section of the battlefield where they could actually survive and fight properly.
Before Rain could even respond, Aura Nova activated her Omniedit ability.
Omniedit: Command: Source Edit: World Reading
The moment the command activated, she instantly absorbed every piece of information available throughout the Rogue Planet itself, the number of Angels, Demons, and all the other races originating from the Divinora Galaxy that weren’t Angels. She even pinpointed Aaaninja’s location immediately, seeing him actively engaged in battle. Lucian and Kingsley also entered her perception shortly afterward.
Glossing over the massive flood of information filling her mind, she quickly identified the exact location where people around Rain’s strength level were currently gathered, with that, she prepared to teleport him and people of the Dusk Planet away immediately.
Omniedit: Command: Source Edit: Cosmic Jump
The moment the command activated, Rain and everyone else vanished entirely from where they stood.
’Anthony isn’t here,’ Aura Nova thought inwardly after failing to detect him through her World Reading ability.
’And someone artificially manipulated the scale of this planet as well,’ her thoughts shifted once more.
She lightly shook her head. Although she didn’t currently know what exactly was happening or where Anthony had disappeared to, none of that truly mattered right now.m, it was time to deal with the enemies before her first.
Her eyes slowly rose toward the sky, and above her floated thousands upon thousands of unknown races, soldiers from the Divinora Galaxy, their bodies radiating terrifying amounts of Faith Energy comparable to Eleven-Winged Angels. Beyond them stood several Thirteen-Winged and Fourteen-Winged Angels calmly observing the situation. Beside those Angels stood several Demons with the numbers 4, 11, 33, and 6 engraved upon their foreheads.
’Should I use my short swords this time?’ she wondered inwardly while considering how she wished to begin the battle.
"Aren’t you going to attack?" Aura Nova suddenly asked aloud.
It was literally thousands against one. They should have already attacked instead of simply floating there while staring at her.
"Oh Sinner, abolish your Mana Core and join the Light," one of the beings from the Divinora Galaxy finally spoke. It was some sort of winged creature that Aura Nova couldn’t even be bothered to properly glance at. freewebnovёl.ƈom
"It seems I’ll have to remove the weeds first," she stated calmly while lightly shaking her head.
The instant those words left her lips, every single being floating within the skies immediately felt one thing; Death. Without hesitation, all of them erupted into motion simultaneously as they rushed to unleash their attacks before the Human could do whatever she intended to do.
But it was already too late, Aura Nova had already acted first.
Omniedit: Command: Logic Hijack: Blooming Blood
Their bodies froze instantly as the blood flowing through every vein and organ within their bodies abruptly came to a complete halt, then everything exploded outward violently. An overwhelming torrent of devastation and madness instantly erupted throughout the skies as thousands of beings exploded apart like fragile balloons beneath a single attack from a mere Human.
Blood of countless colours rained endlessly from above alongside flesh, organs, severed heads, shattered bones, and torn limbs. The endless ocean beneath Aura Nova’s feet was no longer crystal blue. Instead, it transformed into a horrifying spectrum of colours, a grotesque mixture of mangled flesh, blood, and destruction, a literal painting of death spread across the ocean itself.
And Aura Nova?
She simply stood calmly amidst the carnage, not a single drop of blood touching either her skin or Akira, who still slept peacefully atop her head.
