Chapter 2438: Chapter 2414: No Battles Tonight

Overcome all difficulties, fear no sacrifice, and must go to the frontline—this was Gao Yang’s state of mind right now. He wanted to move forward despite facing all kinds of obstacles, but he couldn’t leave even if he wanted to.

For five days now, the Saudi Arabia has conducted airstrikes, with at least three or four waves of attacks occurring daily. As a result, Satan’s artillery in Sana’a had to hide, fearing precise bombing that could turn them into key targets. Fleeing was hardly an option, making long-distance marches out of the question.

Gao Yang was anxious, and Abdullah was even more so. The massive force of the Saudis was pressing in, and although intelligence suggested that the Saudis might not launch a ground attack shortly, a 150,000-strong army was amassed at the border, instilling fear in everyone.

Gao Yang didn’t know what decision Abdullah and Said had finally made, but the offensive towards Aden had been significantly reduced. The Houthis Armed Forces were continuously sending troops to the Northwest Border. Judging from this, the Houthis must have withstood the pressure from Iran, focusing their main force on thwarting foreign enemies rather than crushing Hadi’s remaining forces.

The movement of Houthis Armed Forces transporting troops to the Northwest Border was not slow. However, since they primarily consisted of light infantry, they moved small units like ants to the border, rendering the Saudi airstrikes ineffective.

A single bombardment could only kill three to five people, at most a dozen rifle-bearing soldiers, incapable of halting the Houthis Armed Forces’ troop deployment. One might say that the achieved results weren’t even worth the Shah Air Force’s fuel costs for a single flight.

Thus, after five days of bombing, Gao Yang finally awaited a pause in the raids. Using hundreds of thousands of dollars on meaningless targets, even the affluent Saudis began to think it wasn’t worthwhile.

"No battles tonight."

Seeing these few words on his screen, Yake immediately became spirited. After verifying the information source, he quickly stood up, stepped outside, and waved to Gao Yang, saying, "No battles tonight!"

Gao Yang stood up, both surprised and pleased, and loudly asked, "Are you sure?"

Yake nodded and said solemnly, "I am sure! The source is Nightingale, our primary intelligence source, which has never been wrong!"

Gao Yang let out a breath and said, "Finally, we can set off!"

The Houthis Armed Forces weren’t afraid of airstrikes. Small groups could move toward the border under air attacks, but Gao Yang wouldn’t dare do that. He was in Yemen with ulterior motives, not to sacrifice himself for its defense.

Yake, looking at the messy room, whispered, "This place can be abandoned, but I suggest you leave first. We will make a move tomorrow during daylight to avoid missing any urgent intelligence."

With intelligence being plentiful and varying in importance, Gao Yang couldn’t just await phone calls like before. So Yake and his team had to stand on the final watch to notify the main troops on the road if anything arose.

Gao Yang thought for a moment, nodded, and said, "You and the Black Demon act after we reach our destination. There’s no need to leave tomorrow; just wait until we’re hidden and then proceed. Use satellite phones to notify me of anything."

Yake nodded, and Gao Yang hurriedly said, "I’ll no longer wait here. In six hours, it will be dark. I need to go back and prepare."

This wasn’t exactly a farewell. Gao Yang hurriedly left the intelligence room, got into the car driven by Joseph, and started making calls.

"Wild Duck, no battles tonight. We need to leave. Tell the trailer to assemble at your location after dark, departing at nine!"

"Wild Duck understands!"

"Big Dog, no battles tonight. Depart at 8:30. Be ready."

"Big Dog understands."

"Turtle, no battles tonight. Your unit departs at eight, leaving a detachment to accompany the artillery for protection."

"Turtle understands!"

"Salim, my brother, we can’t wait any longer. I’ve decided to set off to the Northwest Border tonight. Please maintain secrecy, and there’s no need to arrange protection."

"I understand; I’ll leave with you tonight."

After notifying four people, Gao Yang let out a long breath, clapped his leg, and fiercely said, "Finally heading to the frontline. I’ve waited till the flowers have wilted!"

Just like Gao Yang was collecting intelligence on the Saudi Arabia, they, having launched an attack on Yemen, were naturally gathering intelligence on the Houthis Armed Forces. Despite their presence being the utmost secret of the Houthis, it couldn’t hide from the eyes of others.

The Houthis Armed Forces had weak confidentiality awareness, and Gao Yang’s group, with their artillery and Dagger Assault Team, were conspicuous targets. For safety’s sake, Satan had to disperse everyone. Staying at the military camps snatched from the Iranians was out of the question. Artillery needed a hidden position, and even the Dagger Assault Team had to conceal themselves, while Satan’s original team found a safe spot to hide.

Although there was finally a pause in the airstrikes, Satan still couldn’t form a huge convoy and set off grandly. If discovered by a Saudi spy, it might prompt an unplanned temporary airstrike. Therefore, the troops needed to be dispersed, departing sequentially at intervals, to minimize losses even if airstrikes occurred.

Satan could leave anytime, with their light weapons and backpacks, but the artillery was a dangerously large target, so Gao Yang didn’t return to Satan’s main base but headed to Rebrov’s unit’s base.

"Leaving tonight, you must ensure safety. Separate personnel from cannons, and keep a distance. Logistics convoy and artillery transport vehicles should also maintain spacing. With the Dagger Assault Team escorting, there should be no problem safeguarding the cannon."

Meeting Rebrov, Gao Yang began instructing him on every detail, which Rebrov nodded along to repeatedly, saying, "Rest assured, Boss, I know what to do."

Involuntarily glancing at the sky, Gao Yang continued, "Don’t rush the assembly, nor rigidly adhere to my departure time. Safety comes first. Avoid gathering during the day to prevent detection by scout planes and spies. Assemble and load after dark; it’s okay to leave a bit later."

Rebrov smiled, saying, "Don’t worry, Boss, I know all that. Honestly, the war here is way simpler than in Ukraine."

Waving his hand, Gao Yang said in a low voice, "I know it’s easier here than Ukraine, but don’t become complacent. You can never be careless. Understand that overestimating the enemy only results in finding them weaker than anticipated. However, underestimating them once could lead to unexpected strikes causing irreversible damage, something we cannot afford. Remember, always despise the enemy strategically, but respect them tactically!"

Rebrov was young but held significant responsibility. Since joining Gao Yang, the battles had gone too smoothly for him, which made Gao Yang worry about Rebrov becoming overly confident.

Rebrov assured Gao Yang, saying, "Don’t worry, Boss, I’ll be careful. I treat the Saudis like Americans; there should be no problem doing so."
