Chapter 99: Alone [14]
Asher looked at Walter and said, "Of course, I completed it. I always do everything that I truly want to do."
Walter looked at him, then at Celestine, who was missing all her limbs and was in so much shock from what had just happened that she had even forgotten to scream from the pain she was feeling. Then he looked at Leon, who was trembling in fear. He sighed and said, "You went too far this time, especially by trying to kill Leon. If I had not arrived on time, he would have died for sure. It is going to create too much trouble for Edward this time."
Asher looked at Walter and said calmly, "It won’t."
Then a weak voice echoed, "What happened?"
It was Roselia’s voice, full of pain and shock. She was now lying on the ground after Walter had stopped Asher from punching her face further.
Walter looked at Roselia’s face. It was covered in wounds and blood—both hers and Asher’s. Her nose was broken, her cheeks were swollen, and her entire face was bleeding. If someone saw her now, no one would say that this was the face of a beautiful princess. It was truly a sad sight to see.
Walter then looked at Asher’s hands. They were also bleeding and stained with both his and Roselia’s blood. He did not even have enough mana left to coat his hands and was punching her with such speed and force that even his own hands were bleeding heavily. Yet there was still no sign of pain anywhere on his face.
Walter looked at his indifferent expression and thought, ’This kid is still the same—inhuman and crazy.’
Then Roselia, who had somehow still not fainted despite suffering such a brutal beating and severe wounds, touched her face with her hands. She then looked at Asher and said in the voice of a person who had gone insane, "My face! My beautiful face! What did you do to it? How can someone do something like this to a beautiful face like mine?"
Asher simply looked at her and said, "As expected, nothing is better than destroying your face to make you remember this moment again and again, so that you don’t try to mess with me again."
Then he paused for a moment and said, "As for your beautiful face, and your question about how I could do something like this to it, it is because I don’t care about the face, voice, expressions, or actions of others. They do not affect my actions or judgment, no matter how beautiful a person’s face is, how beautiful their voice is, or how emotional their expressions are. All of them can be lies. I only believe in myself. Unlike everyone else, I do not judge others by their face, voice, or expressions." ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Silence filled the area after Asher finished speaking.
Roselia could only stare at him with trembling eyes. She could not understand the person standing before her. The face, tears, and expressions that had always worked on others seemed completely useless against him.
Then she fainted.
...
As soon as Asher said that he would try to kill Leon for real,
In the Supervising Room.
As soon as Elisa heard this, she said in a hoarse tone, "Leon is already disqualified from the test for trying to kill a fellow student. Get him out of the test right now before Asher does something."
The staff member who was controlling the bracelets and was also in charge of teleporting students after they were no longer able to fight nodded.
But a moment later, he said in a confused tone, "There is something wrong with the spatial spell that was used on the students to teleport them back."
As soon as Elisa and Walter heard this, they both looked at the screen showing Asher’s image. He was now moving too fast, and there also seemed to be something wrong with the surrounding space.
Walter said in a panicked voice, "That kid is truly trying to kill him for real this time. He is interfering with the spatial spell and making sure that we can’t teleport Leon back."
Elisa, Aelar, and everyone else’s expressions became full of panic at this.
Before they could say anything, Walter asked in a loud voice, "Tell me their location right now!"
Everyone looked at Walter before Aelar replied, "They are 21.45 kilometers west of here."
Walter vanished instantly as soon as he heard the location.
Meanwhile, everyone else looked at the screen with shocked expressions because it had not even been eight seconds since they had lost the ability to teleport Leon back, yet the situation had already changed too much.
Everyone had the same thought:
"What the hell just happened?"
At present.
Walter shook his head, and the surrounding space returned to normal. Then all five of them were teleported back to the Academy, to a room where healers were present to treat the injured students.
At the Academy.
In a Healing Room.
Many healers were present there to heal the students who had been injured during the test.
But every healer looked exhausted and low on mana because, this time, the injuries suffered by the students were far more severe than in the tests held during previous years.
And most of the injuries were the same.
Missing limbs.
Faces injured beyond recognition.
Every healer had the same thought.
’Just what kind of kid is causing such injuries, and to this many students all by himself?’
Almost all of the healers present were Elves.
Then suddenly, more students appeared in the room after being eliminated from the test.
One of the healers sighed and said, "Finally, the last batch. Now we can get some rest."
Five people appeared.
Walter.
Asher.
Roselia.
Leon.
Celestine.
A healer looked at them and sighed.
"Again? Missing limbs, disfigured faces, and now even missing eyes. Just what kind of monster is causing all this?"
Then one of the healers looked at Roselia and froze.
His eyes widened in shock.
"It’s Princess Roselia!"
He immediately rushed toward her and said in a trembling voice,
"Just who dared to do this to her?"
