Chapter 72: Elyndor Academy [8]

Everyone was so surprised by this and started talking about it.

"What was that? How did he do it?"

"Is he not a human or something?"

"Idiot, can’t you see he is clearly a human?"

"Maybe he is just hiding his species by altering his appearance using an artifact and is actually a hybrid between a human and an elf, or some other species."

While everyone was discussing this, Adam stood among the group of students. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

Adam turned towards Noah, who was standing beside him and trying to gather mana, but very slowly, and then he said, "I am not even that surprised that something like this happened."

He stopped for a moment and looked at Asher, who had an indifferent expression as if the thing he had just done was the simplest thing, then continued, "By the way, I really agree with these Elyndor Academy students. That guy is probably some mixture of species, or maybe that guy just formed out of nature."

Noah just looked at Adam with a strange expression that screamed, ’Have you lost it? Do you even understand what you are saying right now?’

Adam looked at Noah’s expression and then said, "Okay, maybe I was just overreacting right now."

Before Adam could continue, Noah interrupted him by saying, "You were not overreacting. You were saying pure bullshit, nothing else. That guy is not a nobody, and everyone knows his parents. They were and are both humans, so your reasoning doesn’t even make sense."

Adam then replied, "Maybe his mother was hiding her species. Who knows?"

Noah again looked at him with an expression that screamed, ’Will you just stop now with this nonsense?’

Then Adam said, "Okay, I am not saying anything else now. Just stop looking at me like I am some insane guy."

Noah said, "You were acting like one just now."

Aelar, who was observing this situation and was also in shock, said in a stern voice, "Everyone stop talking and just focus on practicing. We are training this until the lunch break."

Everyone fell silent, but hearing that they had to do this practice for more than two more hours made them frustrated. However, no one said anything and just kept practicing, though they still kept looking towards Asher from time to time, who had now taken out some juice and was controlling mana while also drinking it.

Then, after some hours, the class ended at 12:30 PM, and it was about time to have lunch. They had no more classes for today, at least not the Aetherium Academy students.

All the students from both academies then left the garden to either have lunch, rest, or maybe just explore Elyndor Academy.

After every one of them had left the garden and only the two professors remained, both of them looked at the departing figures of the students. When they could no longer see them anymore, Aelar turned to Elisa and said,

"What was that I just witnessed now?"

Elisa replied in a slightly surprised tone, "I don’t know. I knew that since his control over mana is that good, he must also be really good at refining nature mana, but I didn’t know he would even beat the Blessed Child of your species."

Aelar said in a serious tone, "I can understand that his focus, experience, and even his mastery over the elements are good because he is a genius and has fought many battles. But today, while refining nature mana, his will was so strong that the will of nature just vanished in an instant, as if it had simply been erased, and only collecting the mana took time."

He paused for a moment before continuing.

"That strong... a fifteen-year-old could never have such a strong will. Only those at Master or above possess such strong will especially those who had far more experience than other and lived long lives"

Elisa just replied in a flat tone, "I don’t know. Maybe he just has strong beliefs, or maybe he had a hard childhood that made his will stronger than others of his age."

Aelar immediately shook his head.

"No, a hard childhood can make someone’s will stronger, but not to this extent."

"I have seen warriors who survived countless battles. I have seen veterans who spent decades fighting on battlefields. I have even met people who lost everything and still continued moving forward."

Then he continued further, "Yeah, they were not that strong or masters, but they had still lived long lives, and even they could not do what Asher just did."

Elisa said, "Then maybe that kid is just too talented for common sense to apply to him."

"Stop thinking about that, because you are not going to find any answer no matter how much you rack that brain of yours. Our task is to teach them and guide them, nothing else."

Aelar was silent for a few moments before letting out a sigh.

"I know that."

Then he looked towards the academy buildings in the distance and continued, "Still, that boy is making me question many things I thought were impossible."

Elisa just shrugged.

Then she said, "Get used to it. Geniuses are just like that, always defying common sense, and you have already met and witnessed one who was part of our generation. And don’t forget that he is her son. Maybe talent just flows in their blood."

Aelar thought for a moment, as if remembering the past, and said, "Yeah, maybe you are right. No use thinking about that."

Then Elisa said, "Yeah, let’s go now and have lunch."

Aelar nodded, and both of them headed towards the faculty building.

While they were walking, Aelar asked, "By the way, if his will is really that strong, then he must have an extremely fast cultivation speed, so why is he still only at Gold Rank 1 Star?" freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

Elisa replied calmly, "Because that kid is the laziest child I have ever met. He probably barely cultivates."

Aelar just nodded and did not say anything else.
