Chapter 419: Chapter 421: Tied Up in Knots
The female ghost in white blinked, but before she could even react, she was hit.
But that wasn’t all. Su Nian scanned her with a critical, displeased gaze.
"You look so pathetic and hideous, yet you still have the nerve to show your face. Aren’t you embarrassed?"
"And that stringy hair... just looking at it is painful!"
Su Nian’s personality had always been eccentric. While she might rein it in a little after her livestreams, that was only for the public.
Right now, she was all arrogance and venom. The two ghosts in her suit pocket were trembling like scared birds.
’Oh god, even this female ghost in white can’t handle her! This monster is terrifying!’
Su Nian smiled as she grabbed the female ghost’s hand. She was incredibly strong.
She squeezed the female ghost’s neck. The ghost’s voice grew more sinister and hoarse. Just as Su Nian was about to speak, she saw the ghost’s long, straight black hair suddenly change.
The hair became straighter and sleeker, then began to wrap itself, strand by strand, around Su Nian’s hand and forearm.
"Let me go! Let me go!!!"
Su Nian’s expression remained unchanged as she kept her grip on the female ghost’s neck.
The female ghost’s expression grew even colder. Her hair began to fly about wildly as if caught in a phantom wind.
A look of twisted pleasure appeared on her face.
Her voice was thrilled. "I finally have a worthy opponent!"
’This thing just loves to put on an act,’ Su Nian thought. ’Even now, it’s still trying to look tough.’
Just then, Su Nian felt the hair on her arm change again. It now felt like something that had been soaking in water for a long time—slimy, damp, and disgusting, carrying a foul, fishy stench.
The female ghost let out a long, drawn-out laugh as her black hair gradually fell to cover her face.
Her white dress began to float as if on its own breeze, even as Su Nian held her by the neck.
But her limbs began to twist and stretch out, growing infinitely long. Water started to drip from them. DRIP. DRIP.
Her limbs grew pale and rotten. She moved with great difficulty, her joints emitting a sickening CREAKING sound.
The sheer weirdness of the scene sent a chill through the two ghosts in the suit pocket.
The old woman shuddered. "In all my years as a ghost, this is the first time I’ve actually been scared!"
The man in the suit flinched as well. "Tell me about it! This is terrifying!"
The female ghost’s limbs continued to lengthen. Su Nian had been holding her up by the neck, but now the ghost’s feet touched down gently on the floor.
Su Nian, however, just wrinkled her nose in disgust. The stench coming from the female ghost was getting stronger.
"Seriously, have some basic hygiene. You stink, and you’re still trying to put on an act? It’s just gross!"
Su Nian spoke with utter conviction. Hearing this, the female ghost became furious.
She let her hair cover her eyes as it whipped about on its own, tightening its grip on Su Nian.
She was so enraged that her voice cracked.
"Die! Just die!"
Her neck trembled as her head spun a full 360 degrees. Her mouth gaped open, and her hair flew everywhere.
Her endlessly stretching arms, twisting bizarrely, clawed toward Su Nian. Her movements were swift, and a garbled rumbling sound, like a sputtering motorcycle engine, came from her mouth.
"Die! I said, die!"
But Su Nian was ready. She dodged to the side and, with lightning-fast reflexes, grabbed the ghost’s hands.
She looped them in a circle, stretching the arms out and tying them in a knot, which she then neatly wrapped around the female ghost’s own neck.
Then, she tried to pry open the ghost’s mouth, curious to see if there was actually a motorcycle stuck in its throat.
"Nope, nothing. But I gotta say, that sound is pretty unique!"
Su Nian was a little disappointed not to find a motorcycle.
The female ghost, however, was completely bewildered by Su Nian’s curiosity. Released from Su Nian’s grasp, she collapsed to the ground.
Her legs shot out, attacking Su Nian again. This time, Su Nian grabbed them firmly, quickly tied them in a dead knot, and wrapped them around the ghost’s neck as well.
Now, only the ghost’s head and hair were left free to move.
