Chapter 304: Chapter 304: The Big Dumb God of Thunder

A flash of scarlet light swept across the lawn of the Avengers Compound, and three figures appeared out of thin air.

Levi held a swaddled infant in his arms. Beside him, Wanda looked pale, but her eyes were fixed lovingly on the newborn.

Tony Stark froze mid-sip, nearly spilling his coffee.

Steve Rogers instinctively tensed and reached for the shield at his side.

Only Thor strode forward with a dark expression, Stormbreaker slung over one shoulder. Every step looked as though it might leave a crater in the grass.

"Levi."

His voice rumbled like distant thunder.

"Westview. That damned fitness instructor."

He glared.

"Care to explain?"

Thor’s mind was still haunted by the humiliation of carrying a giant dumbbell around town, doing squats while neighbors offered cheerful encouragement.

"And that one-ton dumbbell," he added through gritted teeth, "was my freaking Stormbreaker."

Levi glanced down at the sleeping infant before looking back at the furious Asgardian.

Then he smiled.

"I just became a father. Cut me some slack?"

"No."

Thor’s answer was immediate.

"Absolutely not."

"Wait, hold on."

Tony finally snapped out of his shock and pointed repeatedly between Wanda and the baby.

"You two... when exactly did this happen?"

"You don’t need to know everything, Stark."

Levi’s calm reply instantly left Tony speechless.

Steve stepped forward, bypassing Thor entirely.

His attention settled on Wanda.

"Wanda, are you okay?"

She nodded weakly, then shook her head before nodding again.

"I’m okay, Captain."

Her voice was tired but filled with joy.

"Just... exhausted."

She looked down at the baby and smiled.

"But seeing him makes it all worth it."

Her fingers gently brushed the edge of the blanket.

"She just fought a major battle and gave birth," Levi said casually.

"She needs rest."

The tone was mild, but the finality behind it silenced everyone.

Thor’s anger cooled somewhat, though he still looked dissatisfied.

"You still owe me an explanation."

Levi sighed.

Then he casually pulled a shimmering golden apple from nowhere and tossed it over.

"My inner universe produces these."

"They contain purer energy than anything in Asgard."

"Eat it and your divine power should increase by around twenty percent."

Thor caught it automatically.

The apple felt warm and radiated astonishing vitality.

Skeptical, he bit into it.

Immediately, a surge of pure energy spread through his body.

"...Tastes pretty good."

He chewed thoughtfully.

"Fine."

Another bite.

"I temporarily forgive you."

Tony’s eye twitched.

"That’s it?"

"This apple is really good."

Thor sounded completely sincere.

---

At that moment, a red-and-black figure came tumbling out of nearby rubble.

"I CAN TALK AGAIN!"

Deadpool rolled across the ground before popping upright.

"I can finally talk again!" frёewebnoѵēl.com

He spun around three times before sliding dramatically to a stop in front of everyone.

"Do you have any idea how cruel it is to silence a chatterbox?"

He pointed dramatically at Levi.

"That guy over there? Model husband material in Westview."

"Making breakfast. Fixing plumbing. Watching family dramas with his wife."

Steve blinked.

"Fixing plumbing?"

"Absolutely!"

Deadpool gestured wildly.

"He also roasted chicken! The smell was incredible!"

"I sat outside his house every day just sniffing the air like a total creep!"

"Oh, and he had this two-ton rock in the backyard."

"Claimed it was for warming up."

"I watched him lift it with one hand!"

Levi stared at him expressionlessly.

"You talk too much."

Deadpool ignored him.

His attention suddenly landed on the baby.

His eyes lit up.

"Oooooh!"

"A mini-Levi!"

"Come here, let Uncle Deadpool take a look!"

He eagerly reached toward the baby’s chubby face.

Then stopped.

Completely.

His hand froze several inches away.

An invisible force locked him in place.

Not a single finger could move.

The grin on his face stiffened.

His mouth hung open.

No sound emerged.

He looked like a duck being strangled.

His eyes filled with terror and confusion.

Inside the blanket, baby Arthur stared quietly at him with clear crimson eyes.

"Interesting."

Levi looked down at his son.

A faint smile tugged at his lips.

"Looks like he doesn’t like you."

---

Tony stepped closer.

Streams of data flickered across his smart glasses.

"The kid’s energy signature is strange."

"It isn’t Chaos Magic."

"And it isn’t your law powers either."

"Void Essence."

Levi answered calmly.

"He absorbed part of it himself when he was born."

"Void Essence?"

Doctor Strange had just arrived, and his expression immediately changed.

"The Anti-Monitor’s power?"

"You let a newborn absorb something like that?"

"He chose it himself."

Strange clearly didn’t believe him.

Golden magical symbols blossomed from his hands.

A complex spell formation appeared as he carefully reached toward Arthur.

The moment the spell approached—

It twisted.

Collapsed.

Compressed.

Then vanished completely, reduced to a single point of light.

Strange staggered back.

His face turned pale.

"Impossible..."

"My magic..."

"It was erased at the conceptual level?"

---

"Let me try."

Tony detached a portion of liquid nanotechnology from his wrist armor.

The silver material floated above Arthur.

"JARVIS. Full-spectrum scan."

Arthur stared curiously at the shifting metal.

Then he reached out a tiny hand.

The scan stopped.

The nanomaterial began rapidly twisting and reorganizing itself.

Seconds later, it transformed into a glowing mechanical rattle that hovered in midair, ringing cheerfully.

Arthur giggled.

Tony’s expression froze.

"...That was reserve nanomaterial from my Mark 85 armor."

"Worth thirty million dollars."

"It’s a rattle now."

Levi sounded strangely proud.

"And a pretty nice one."

"A nice one?!"

Tony’s voice jumped an octave.

"He turned cutting-edge technology into a caveman toy!"

"You should feel honored."

Levi looked at Arthur.

"It means he likes you."

Tony opened his mouth.

Then realized he couldn’t actually argue with that.

---

"How did he do it?"

Steve stared at the glowing rattle.

His expression was complicated.

"Conceptual restructuring."

Levi answered.

"In Arthur’s mind, that metal should have been a fun toy that makes noise."

"So it became one."

Strange looked stunned.

"A conceptual-level ability..."

His voice sounded strained.

"He was born at a level most of us could never reach in our entire lives."

Silence fell over the group.

The atmosphere became heavy.

Thor finished the last bite of his apple.

"So..."

He swallowed.

"Is he stronger than me?"

"In terms of potential..."

Levi looked at his sleeping son.

"...he’s stronger than all of us."

Thor thought for several seconds.

Then tossed away the apple core.

"I’d like another apple."

---

Before anyone could respond, a shrill alarm erupted throughout the compound.

Red Alert.

The highest threat level.

The sudden sirens shattered the quiet atmosphere.

A moment later, Nathaniel Richards came sprinting out of a laboratory.

His face was white as paper.

"Mr. Levi!"

He nearly tripped over himself.

"The Kang Legacy Database has detected a massive multiversal anomaly!"

"What kind of anomaly?"

Nathaniel pulled up a huge holographic display.

"It’s... the Anti-Monitor."

"The hand you severed..."

"It didn’t completely die."

"It began replicating and mutating."

His voice shook.

"It became a virus."

Tony frowned.

"A virus?"

"A multiversal virus."

Nathaniel pointed at the display.

Several coordinates representing parallel universes were rapidly dimming and turning gray.

"It’s infecting neighboring realities."

"Converting all life into..."

He hesitated.

Searching for the right word.

"Anti-Monitor puppets."

Levi finished for him.

"Or zombies."

Nathaniel nodded vigorously.

His face somehow became even paler.

Levi stared at the spreading gray plague.

Then looked down at Arthur, who was happily playing with the floating rattle.

His eyes deepened thoughtfully.

"Interesting."

He spoke quietly.

"Looks like that strike produced some unexpected side effects."

"This isn’t the time for jokes."

Tony’s expression darkened.

"At this rate, the virus will completely consume at least seventeen parallel universes within three days."

"And then?"

Levi asked.

"Then all life energy from those worlds becomes fuel."

Nathaniel’s voice trembled.

"Fuel for the Anti-Monitor to break through dimensional barriers."

Steve stepped forward.

"We have to stop it."

"Of course we do."

To everyone’s surprise, Levi nodded.

Then he added:

"But not right now."

Strange frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Levi carefully handed Arthur to Wanda.

She immediately held him close, shielding him from the surrounding commotion.

"I just became a father."

Levi’s gaze softened as he looked at his wife and child.

A warmth none of them had ever seen before appeared in his eyes.

"The first thing I need to do is make sure my son has an absolutely safe home."

Wanda looked up and met his gaze.

"He’s right."

She held Arthur tighter.

"Arthur needs a peaceful place to grow up."

Levi smiled.

"Don’t worry."

"It won’t take long."

Then he turned toward the others.

The warmth vanished.

What remained was the same confidence and indifference that viewed all things from above.

"Three days."

"I’ll solve it."

"Three days?"

Strange asked.

"How?"

Levi didn’t answer directly.

Instead, he slowly raised his right hand.

His fingers spread as though grasping an invisible world.

"The Anti-Monitor’s severed limb evolved into a virus."

He stated the fact calmly.

"My power..."

"...can naturally become the cure."

Thor tightened his grip on Stormbreaker.

"Need help?"

"No."

Levi’s gaze swept over Wanda and Arthur.

"You stay here."

"Make sure nothing disturbs them."
