Chapter 91: Chapter 91
Tempest body feels as light as a feather.
She didn’t know if she was this weightless because of all the orgasms she’d just had or for something else.
She tried to open her eyes, it didn’t take her long to figure out that she was weightless because she was being carried. She was in Dron’s arms.
Safe.
Loved.
Something that she’d never felt when she was with Sam. Any time that she was with Sam it felt as if she were the one pouring all of herself into him. She never truly felt as if the feelings were reciprocrated.
Tempest didn’t even have to question when it came to Dron. His feelings were as real as the air in her lungs.
She didn’t need to worry about being safe. She let her eyes close again and just let Dron do what he wanted to her.
Seconds later, water of the absolute perfect temperature sprayed over her body.
It made her already soothed body even more relaxed.
"I’ve got you. Don’t worry, Temptation. I’m here for you. I’m here." Dron whispered, and even in her completely blissed out mindframe, she could hear his words. Not only that, she could hear the emotion behind them. For an alpha so strong and dominant, it always surprised Tempest with just how sweet the man could be.
Tempest relaxed in Dron’s arms as he continued to wash her body. All she wanted to do was laze in his arms for the rest of the day.
She knew better than to think her heat was completely over. In all her life she’d never felt hormones and needs so intense as she had while she lay in Dron’s bed before. Tempest was so sure that she was immune to the heat cycle that the omegas experienced here in Ustea. Turns out she was mistaken. Her heat hit her like a freight train, and based on what Mexyn had told her, it ebbed and flowed depending on how satisfied she was.
Basically depending on how many orgasm she got dictated on how the process of her heat went. Thanks to Dron she’d had more than enough orgasms to keep her satisfied for a long while.
She still felt the effects of her heat. There was a dull cramping but nothing like the pain she had been feeling before. It felt like the very start of her period. It was something that she could deal with.
"I’m going to wash your hair, okay?" Dron asked, but Tempest still couldn’t voice any words. She hummed in approval as he sat her on the small bench in the shower, and a sweet-smelling thick liquid dripped on her head.
Her muscles were so relaxed she could barely keep her head straight as Dron expertly massaged her scalp and hair. He combed through her strands softly all the while whispering soft words in her ear.
She was lulled by his voice, and despite the splashing water, she found herself falling back into a slumber.
"You know what you do to me don’t you?" Dron whispered. "You’ve changed the very fabric of my being. You’ve touched my soul."
Tempest tried to respond to him but she couldn’t. She wasn’t sure if what she was hearing was a dream or real life.
Dron continued to speak. "How do I survive without you? When our time is done there will be nothing left of me. You’re my everything."
A frog lodged itself in Tempest’s throat, and it grew the more Dron’s voice floated in the air around her.
"My temptation... it wasn’t supposed to be like this. I don’t deserve you. I’ve been blessed by the Moon Goddess." His words continued.
Tempest fell deeper into her bliss, and before she realized what was going on, she could no longer hear Dron speaking to her.
◈◈◈
The bright-colored trees were absolutely beautiful. They surrounded her, but Tempest didn’t feel any fear. She felt like she was at home. On a vacation or something like that.
"My love, you’ve never been more beautiful than you are right now."
Tempest didn’t realize someone was here with her. She turned and could see Dron lying on the ground on top of a fur-lined throw cover. The ground beneath them was bright purple grass. A few wildflowers were scattered around, but there was a small clearing where he was lying. To the side was a small basket with a plethora of fruits Tempest couldn’t identify. It looked delicious.
"I only have eyes for you." Tempest replied. Her voice sounded slightly melodic.
Dron smiled at her and reached his hand out to her.
Tempest closed her eyes for a second and took in a deep breath. The air was slightly cool and smelled of fresh cut grass and wood. Birds chirped in the distance, and in the corner, Tempest saw Squab hopping around happily.
She’d never felt so happy in her life. Everything was perfect.
She opened her eyes and walked slowly in Dron’s direction. She grabbed hold of his hand and he gently tugged her down on the blanket with him. She nuzzled into Dron’s embrace.
"What have I done to deserve you Dron? To deserve a life as perfect as this one?" Tempest questioned.
Dron used his fingertips to tilt her chin up, forcing Tempest to look up into his eyes. "You survived."
The words squeezed at her heart.
Tempest never considered herself a survivor, and to hear Dron say that she was healed something deep inside of her.
Dron’s eyes darted to the distance, and a look a mix of joy and impatience descended on his face. "Boy, get down from there before you fall." freёwebnovel.com

On the other side of the clearing Tempest saw something that couldn’t be true.
She gasped as she spied two small children. A boy and a girl.
Their skin was the same as hers in complexion, but they had deep black spirals that wrapped around their little arms.
"Kids... we have kids?" Tempest questioned softly, her gaze jerking to Dron’s face.
"Of course. Don’t you remember, my Temptation? We’re a family." Dron spoke as if it were normal.
Tempest focused again on the children. Their faces were turned away from her. She couldn’t see what they looked like.
They were so close but she needed to see them.
"Hey! Come here." Tempest called out to them, but it was as if they couldn’t hear her.
Tempest pushed up from the ground, out of Dron’s embrace.
"No don’t leave." Dron spoke, but there was a strong hint of panic in his tone.
When Tempest turned to look at him, she realized in that instance he’d changed. He no longer looked as if he were in peace. Instead, his face was drawn and there were new scars on his skin. He looked weak and desperate. "Please don’t leave me Tempest. I won’t survive."
Tempest backed away from him. Something was wrong. She turned back toward the children. She needed to see them. Tempest didn’t know why she felt so forlorn at the thought of not being able to see their face. But in that moment, it was as if Tempest felt like she would die if she didn’t get a good look at the children.
"Hey... wait." Tempest continued to walk away from Dron but the closer she got to the kids, the more they ran in the opposite direction. She couldn’t make up the distance. She took off into a jog and then finally a full-out run.
"Come back!" Tempest yelled as loud as she could, but it was no use.
She watched in absolute horror as the kids continued to run, and the topography turned from a paradise to a dangerous mountainous terrain. The kids climbed the mountain expertly, and Tempest struggled to scale the treacherous rocks.
"Please.. Wait!" Tempest screamed for the kids.
"Tempest! Please." Dron bellowed from somewhere in the distance.
Tempest looked over her shoulder, but she could no longer see Dron. Instead of the beautiful trees and wildflowers that were there moments before, behind her was a pool of bubbling magma. The lava was quickly catching up to her. Tempest pushed herself to move faster.
"Stop!" Tempest screamed at the top of her lungs as she watched the mountains in front start to crumble just a few paces in front of where the children were rushing off to.
In a last-ditch effort, Tempest threw herself forward, reaching out for the children before they could fall off the precipice.
Lunging for a future that she could have. A future she knew Dron deserved.
She screamed in agony as she watched the children tumble out of reach, all without ever being able to see their faces.
◈◈◈
Tempest’s body jerked straight up.
She sucked in air, her entire body trembling with the intensity of the dream she’d just woken up from.
She looked around and realized that she was in her room. It was all fake. The peace. The love. The kids.
Tempest couldn’t hold back her emotions; tears spilled down her cheeks in rivers.
"Tempest?"
She didn’t realize that Dron had been sleeping next to her until he spoke.
"Oh, no... No! What’s wrong?" Dron sat up quickly. His hands quickly sliding over her face and body as if trying to locate the source of her pain.
He wouldn’t touch it. Her pain was radiating from her very soul.
"What have I done? I’m sorry. I’m so sorry." Dron jumped out of the bed and knelt in front of her. "I hurt you. I knew I shouldn’t have been giving a blessing like you. I’m so sorry. Tell me what I can do to make it right." He refused to look up at her.
Tempest sucked in a few breaths and tried to calm herself.
"Dron." She spoke, but her words trembled. Tempest swallowed again, trying to get her voice together.
"Dron, you didn’t do anything wrong." Tempest reached out and gently ran her hand through his hair. Finally he looked up at her.
"Then why are you crying? Are you in pain? Do you need..."
"No." Tempest could feel the pressure in her core starting to grow again, but it was still manageable. "I’m more than satisfied in that regard." Tempest smiled softly at him.
Dron let out a shaky breath before he got to his feet. "I’d never forgive myself if I ever did anything to hurt you. I love you Tempest. I’ll never hurt you."
The tears Tempest had been trying to stop restarted. "Oh, Dron." She got up to her knees and wrapped her arms around his midsection. "I love you too."
It was the first time they had said it to eachother. Both of them finally admitting the true scope of their feelings for eachother.
Unfortunately, the dream and the admission only solidified what Tempest knew was the best plan of action for the both of them.
Dron deserved a family, he deserved to be happy. More than that he deserved to be in peace. While she was there, Tempest knew the rest of Thraqe would never accept them. They’d be fighting all of their life. Any children would forever be in danger. Their lives would be nothing more than battle after battle.
Tempest knew she needed to leave and give Dron the possible future that he deserved. She only hoped that he would understand.
Tempest didn’t want to hurt him, she truly loved him. But she also knew loving someone sometimes meant letting them go.
