Chapter 1741: Chapter 1288: Why Should We Save Him?

Vishi thought she found a loophole in the diary, but everyone’s expressions became very subtle instead of deep in thought.

Weiser pondered for a moment and asked, "Vishi, do you like us? I mean, in a lustful way."

Vishi was stunned, then immediately realized something, and her cool and arrogant demeanor completely broke, her face turning a shade of rosy white.

"We just tested each other and found that intimacy between us cannot bring pleasure to either party." Though Sonia’s tone was normal, her cheeks also turned a soft pink: "This means we have no reason to become so close, yet we’ve been hosting developer conferences since the Kingdom of Senluo, for several months, and up until three days ago, we were sharing a bed happily."

"This only proves one thing," she said, "The one who can truly pleasure us is the owner of this diary, the already vanished Ash Heath. In the past, every time we shared a bed, it was actually us—"

"Alright, I got it, no need to say more!" Vishi blushed so deeply she could bleed, lightly biting her lip, she said fiercely, "Let’s just say we really did have that kind of close relationship with him!"

"You seem particularly concerned about ’us together,’" Weiser keenly observed the ripples of Vishi’s emotions. "Why?"

"It’s nothing."

"If you can share, maybe we could understand him a little better. After all, the diary does not record his experiences after leaving the Kingdom of Allstars."

Vishi remained silent for a while, until Felix poured her a glass of red wine, she took a sip and reluctantly said, "This indicates he wasn’t dominated by me. If he were my dog, I wouldn’t serve him alongside you all... Too degrading."

At these words, the eyes of Sword Witch, Silver Lamp, and the others began staring at her sharply, Vishi quickly changed her tone, "I meant he’s the degrading one, don’t know what means he used to coerce us—no wonder he didn’t unlock my ruby chains, he forced me to serve him this way!"

They instantly withdrew their gaze, Weiser pondered, "Indeed, even if I permit him to have other women, I wouldn’t accept frequent group play. Could it be I became his Divine Being, and he used the mage’s coercion to force me into group play?"

"Either I’m dominated by him, or I’m enchanted by him, there’s no other possibility." Sonia squinted, her expression chilled, "Not to mention group play, given my personality, no matter how much I like him, I couldn’t accept his fickleness, much less group play... How dare he humiliate me this way!"

They turned to Diya and asked, "Witch, you must feel forced into the group play too!"

Diya opened her mouth, finally nodded like a chick pecking rice, "Of course, I’m Empress Yisu, how could I stoop to serve a man! Surely I was seduced to fall into evil by him! There’s actually such an evil bad man in this world, don’t know which trash can he crawled out of!"

The four immediately formed a united front, the fragmented team gathered in thought, the demigod’s resentment soared, and every mortal within a hundred meters felt a chill.

Freyja stared dumbly at them, thinking this script was wrong; upon losing a lover, shouldn’t they be anxiously searching for his whereabouts? Now they want to find him, but the purpose become flogging...

"Um," Siflin couldn’t help but say, "shouldn’t the focus be—"

"Wait." Vishi suddenly noticed something, "Siflin, you mentioned Dedarose requested to sleep with Ash and was rejected, but the diary doesn’t record this matter."

"It’s mentioned on this page." Siflin took out a copy, "This page is separated by many blank pages from the front of the diary. I guess Ash didn’t want to write more diaries but also didn’t want to completely give up, so he left pages for diary continuation, placing this unrelated confession at the end."

"Confession?"

Vishi took it over and couldn’t hold back from the first sentence:

"Was Vishi always this cute? Before entering Level Six of Hell next time, I should leave something."

"There were previous diaries here, though it seems those about Vishi are incomplete... Why did I forget?"

"I shouldn’t worry about Felix and Dedarose, Felix even... she will always hate me, if she doesn’t hate me she’s not Felix. Dedarose, I dare not touch the Gods of Four Pillars’ sense, moreover I suspect her self-recommendation for sleeping is to harm me, the Gods of Four Pillars are so treacherous, sending the most beautiful woman under the starry sky for sleeping service."

"Freyja, Hanna, Tamasi, Siflin, don’t know if it will implicate them. If so, there’s nothing to be done... Blame Rose, is the only way to satisfy their longing with a hot spring party? Ah Freyja, I don’t dislike being together with you, it’s just a bit embarrassing, both wanting to apologize and say thanks, and somewhat expectant to try again..."

"As for them, they’re inevitable to be affected right? After all, they’re my life, the first is Vishi, who is next?... But what’s meant to happen, will happen, how do I keep them?"

"Sword Maiden, how can I keep you?"

"I offer you the sails from the Sea of Knowledge, the wings to fly together, the scales of the golden fish."

"I give you the joy of holding onto someone who went through madness and remains unrepentant."

"Even the most distant longing will find its fulfillment."

"Witch, how do I keep you?"

"I give you the care of a sister, the guardianship of a princess, the affection of a lover."

"I give you the courage to ride a motorcycle and dash out of the Imperial Palace."

"Fate can no longer separate us, the wandering knight will no longer let go."

"Silver Lamp, what can I use to keep you?"

"I give you my regret, my unwillingness, my decision."

"I give you the prayer of one who has never believed in destiny."

"The joy of recovery accompanies the Technique Spirit and Divine Being each day after their long-awaited reunion."

"Demon, what can I use to keep you?"

"I use chains to bind you, emotions to cautiously test you, and transactions to accept you."

"I give you reasons to jointly bear the sins."

"Perhaps only insincere pretense can keep us side by side until the end of the road."

"..."

"No, why did I write all of them down? I should record different people in different tools. This time I’ve been foolish."

"Forget it."

Vishi fell into deep thought after reading it, then glanced up at Siflin. Siflin shook her head, indicating this was the last page of the diary.

"Is this diary page from three days ago?" Vishi suddenly said, "Ash Heath—if I guessed correctly, this man should have disappeared three days ago, right? At least on the night we wore bridal gowns, he should have still been there."

Even though she didn’t need to participate in the previous discussion, Vishi could determine Ash’s exact disappearance time because three days before, they still wore bridal gowns and slept together, but the night after, when they lay together, they felt the developer conference was unremarkable. Hence, the world line change pivoted around the bridal night they lingered over.

"No." Freyja shook her head, "This page of the diary appeared about half a year ago and hasn’t been updated since."

"Half a year ago..." Vishi pondered briefly, raised her brows, and looked at Weiser, "Silver Lamp, you should be able to see it, right?"

"See what?" Diya asked curiously, "Isn’t this just a poem he worried about us?"

"He isn’t worried about us." Weiser shook her head, "Even though he wrote about us, the truth is he’s worried about himself. If I’m not mistaken, he’s at risk of amnesia and has already forgotten Vishi."

Sonia was startled, looked at the diary seriously, and then suddenly realized, "Right, his attention on Vishi’s incomplete content in the diary shows that if he hadn’t lost his memory, why would he need the diary to know Vishi?"

"He doesn’t want to expose his amnesia but wishes to regain his memory after forgetting, so he writes it in the diary." Vishi said, "He even considers that Freyja will see it, so he intentionally writes it as worrying about us, but actually aims to remind himself of his feelings towards us through the poem. However, he seems to have failed."

"Why did he fail?" Felix asked in astonishment, "Isn’t this written quite well? Pure emotion with no skill, it’s my first time seeing someone shamelessly write about love for four lovers at once."

Vishi spread her hands, "Because he forgot very thoroughly, naturally he’d forget he ever wrote the poem. I guess he hasn’t opened the diary since half a year ago."

"Boohoo..."

Everyone turned to find Meiwa with tears streaming down her face, unable to stop crying, with large teardrops falling onto the bed sheets. She sniffed, wiped tears with the back of her hand, and sobbed, "He’s so pitiful... not only did he lose memories of us, but now the world has forgotten him too. If I hadn’t flipped through Technique Spirit to find this diary, nobody would ever remember him."

"Let’s find Ash Heath together!" She hugged the diary copy tightly, exclaiming, "Only we can save him now!"

However, the rallying cry Freyja imagined didn’t occur; the female mages exchanged subtle glances. Vishi watched them for a while before realizing, "Ah, so you’ve come to have me as the bad guy."

"No," Sonia immediately said, "We just believe you need to know about this matter."

"I’d rather I didn’t know."

Vishi drained her glass of red wine, stood up with the diary copy in hand, and said, "Since you all won’t say anything, let me say it then."

"Why should we save him?"

The diary copy ignited with blue flames, turning to ashes and scattering.

Amidst the ashes and blue flames, Vishi said coldly and calmly, "We are now free of attachments, why bring ourselves a foolish bond?"
