Chapter 90: Chapter 90 Isadora and Sami
The Third Person’s POV
Morgan walks up to her rulers and friends. They are close, and she respects them above everyone but Brandon. He and their daughter are her number one priority, and she will defy her rulers for them. She looks down. Her parents are here. But why? The questions are running a mile a minute in her head, swirling together into incoherent masses.
Her grab on Brandon’s hand is tightening.
’Babe, relax. Breath, please. You are okay, and I am right here. I’m not going anywhere!’ He says in her mind, sensing his mate’s distraught.
’But, I am never met them before. Why are they here, Brandon? Why couldn’t they just leave me alone?’ Morgan asks back, irritation burning in her voice.
’You’ll never know if you don’t ask?’ Brandon reasons with her. She sighs. She knows he is right, but doesn’t make it easier to swallow.
Elise senses her daughter’s hesitation, and she understands why. She and Erik have been distant and hidden all her life. But they did it to protect her. They did it to make sure she could live her life and not be a target.
What Elise didn’t know was she had been a target. Sylla had sensed the fae part of her and decided to use her to take over Deam Lux, the light realm. Also called FaeLux, fairy light.
"Why are you here, your highnesses?" Morgan asks, not meeting either of their eyes. Elise and Erik’s shoulder slump. She is addressing them so formally.
"You can use our names, sweetheart. That goes for all of you!" Elise exclaims, trying to not cry. Her heart is breaking. Maybe they should have stayed in FaeLux.
"We wanted to meet our daughter, who is now Mother of her coven. Besides, a new name showed up on our family tree in the throne room. Mira Rose?" Erik says, his voice cracking. He is normally not one to show emotions and cry, but his daughter is standing a few feet from him, but has never felt so far away.
"You gave me up." Morgan whispers, not answering the question. Elise sighs as tears streams down her cheeks.
"We had no choice, honey. You are going to be the next fae Queen, and Mother of the coven I moved from. That is two very powerful positions. You are a strong young woman, and I feared if we kept you in FaeLux, then someone would try to hurt you. But I couldn’t be away from my soul mate, and we agreed it was best for you to grow up not knowing your heritage."
Morgan nodded, not totally convinced.
"Why don’t we talk in the pack house?" Brandon asks, smiling at his mate’s parents. They both look him over, from their joined hands to his protective stance a few inches in front of Morgan. Erik frowns, but Elise smiles big through her tears.
"That is a wonderful idea. We will follow you!"
They drove back to the house, and Morgan asked if someone would come with them. She didn’t know how she felt, to be honest, with her parents being in her home. Isadora and Sami volunteered and followed them down to the conference room. They said something about Abby and Matt had to play host with the snobby Alphas, and their mates would help them.
Benjamin and Daemon looked absolutely horrified, but couldn’t do anything than say "yes dear", as the girls sauntered away.
Abby laughed herself silly, just as the guard from before mind-linked her and Matt, their first guest, were arriving. Both Alphas hung their head and knew they were going to be in for it now, when Laurel and Kaiden appeared a second later. Laurel had a cheeky glint in her eyes.
"Alphas, if you will follow me. We need extra hands in the kitchen to prepare tonight’s dinner." She was holding a clipboard, and her voice made no room for discussion.
"Laurel, the first guests are here. Do you have the room chart with you?" Abby asks before she leads the Alphas away.
"Yes, it is right here. It also hangs on the walls on every floor in the house, and one here." She points to a large house-plan hanging on the wall in the hall.
Throughout the day, all the Alphas arrived. Most of them brining their Luna’s, and the pack house became full with the guests. But it didn’t go without complaining and bickering.
Most of the Alphas knew how to behave, but some of them were self entitled assholes and Abby found it hard to be polite, when she for the umpteenth time heard someone exclaim; "our Queen is a mere child?" Matt sensed the turmoil in his mate and dragged her to their room. He left, only to return with their twins.
"They are getting so big. How are you getting so big already?" Abby cooed when Matt handed her their daughter. She didn’t breastfeed them any longer, because it was really painful and she didn’t have enough milk for them both. She had pumped for a couple of days after, but stopped that too. The twins cooed and babbled at each other and their parents. Matt and Abby sat on the floor with them until it was time for dinner. They handed the children to their nannies, and Mira Rose’s nanny came with her.
"She’s been cranky since the Alpha left with the young Alpha." She says with a laugh, as Mira’s face break into a beautiful smile at the sight of Maze. Abby shakes her head. It’s incredible how attached those two already are.
"Hahahah well too bad young lady, I want some mommy and Maze time sometimes as well." Abby answers while booping the girl’s nose. Her mouth turns down ways for only a second, before she is all smiles again.
As they say goodbye to the nannies, who will feed the children in the nursery to keep them out of sight as long as possible, Abby and Matt hear raised voices from the floor under them. They hurry down the stairs, only to come face to face with Luna Freya from Crescent Moon and Laurel. Kaiden is holding on to his upset pregnant mate. Laurel was angry beyond anything Abby and Matt had ever experienced.
The two she-wolves kept screaming at each other. Abby watched for a moment, but when the Luna made a swing to slap Laurel, she intervened.
"What the actual fuck is going on here?" Abby yells, standing between the two heavy breathing women. Matt walks behind Laurel and slaps Kaiden on the shoulder. He can let her go. Matt tells him with his eyes to let the women handle this. He knows of Luna Freya, and he has an inkling of what has happened. frёewebηovel.cѳm
’She came on to me so strong, man, and before I could react, Laurel had thrown her down the stairs.’ Kaiden links red spots on his cheeks of embarrassment. Matt raised an eyebrow.
’Down the stairs? Where was she when this happened?’ Matt links back.
"On the way to the top floor. I was coming to talk to you, and she was just right there. Then the next thing I know, Laurel comes in, guns blazing, yanks her off me and throws her down the stairs. Her hair was still white and..." Realisation hit him like a brick wall. His mate had a vison. FUCK! Why hadn’t that thought occurred to him before?
"That demented bitch just threw me down the stairs! She is out of her mind. I want her arrested and thrown in the dungeons! NOW!" The Luna yells in Abby’s face. Matt smirks. Wrong move skank. He hates Luna Freya. She had the nerve to hit on him, right before he found Abby and then when it became know he had found his rightful Luna, she threatened him with war if he didn’t reject her. He hadn’t told Abby about this, but maybe he should have. She was just another Maria, with one exception; she had her own pack and her own warriors.
Freya looks behind the doll looking woman in front of her and her eyes lock on the man standing there. Alpha Matthew.
