Abby’s POV
It has been a month now, and we have not heard from Selene. Christmas, New Year and Valentine’s came and went with no major mishaps. Well, Christmas actually came before we realised I was pregnant, and just before the battle. So, we hadn’t had time to process what a lovely time indeed we actually had together.
We had a great time, spending it together around the Christmas tree, singing carols, eating delicious food and dessert. Ornata reading ’A Christmas Carol’ for us, while everyone sat around her like kids, with hot chocolate and cookies. The morning of the 25th of December, we all got up and shared presents with each other.
From Matt I got a gold bracelet with a white diamond, a green jade, a red ruby, a blue sapphire and a purple diamond. In the center was a multicolored opal, shining within the light of the room. It was absolutely beautiful, and stood for all the Star Wolves’ elemental powers, with Galaxy’s power of all the elements in the opal.
"I am told you can store magic in all the jewels, especially the opal should be highly receptive to magic." Matt says with a sweet smile as he gives me a tender kiss.
From Ornata and Greyson we got a couple’s retreat for the summer, where we would go away on a holiday in a spa resort for a week. Both Kaiden and Laurel and Brandon and Morgan got one too from their respective parents.
"We will hold down the fort when you guys are gone. I know Jason and Ellie are getting one, too. So you will all be together. If you don’t mind Luna Jamie and her mate helping in the everyday activities?" We both smile and shake our head. Leo is still asleep deep in his wolf’s mind, and we check on the spell every few months, to make sure nothing out of order happens.
Everyone got what they wanted, though all the parents made it a priority to tell us the need for grandchildren soon, too. Making all of us blush, the guys especially.
Christmas morning breakfast was a feast for all the senses, and I enjoyed to be surrounded by all my loved ones. As a surprise, my dad showed up right about breakfast time, just knocking on the door, holding a big sack with more presents and a big smile.
I launched myself into his embrace, asking how he had come here so fast? The other night, I talked to him. I caught him winking at Morgan, who smiled in return. I should have known.
New Year’s eve was spent at a nightclub near the pack. We all went clubbing, partying to the morning, enjoying to be together. Benjamin, Sami, Daemon and Isadora came too, which was the best surprise ever! All the girls squealed, while the guys highfived and hugged. Daemon looked like he wasn’t sure if that included him, but he had really changed and all the guys huddled around him, making the big bad Alpha tear up a little.
It was great to be out together, eating, drinking and having a good time. It would have been a perfect night if we had not ended in a small fight.
A smart-ass would not take a no for an answer when we were out dancing while the guys were drinking shots at the bar. He kept trying to push into my dance with Ellie, and grabbing my ass. I saw Ellie’s eyes glaze over, and in an instant the guys were with us on the dancefloor. The guys smirked in my direction.
"Awe, come on, sweetheart. You rather hook up with the neanderthal wolf-wannabe? I am much more fun, I promise." He says in a cooky tone while flashing his fangs. I raise an eyebrow at his statement, when the group growl at him. He smiles, as his companions join him, having a small faceoff on the floor. The DJ, who is a wizard/wolf hybrid, turns the music down a notch. The anticipation in his eyes is not to be mistaken. He knew who me and Matt are, and payed his respect when we entered. As did the rest of our people. Some with curiosity, some with respect because of the battle won recently, some with disdain and again some with suspicion. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Matt grin, nodding at me. He will not fight this imbecile. He will let me do it. It is my honor on the line.
"Well, seeing as he is my mate and King, I will say I quite prefer him. But I am also not a fan of a person not knowing his place, neither do I respect someone grabbing another’s ass without permission." I say in a stern voice. But the idiot keeps smirking.
"Well, then give me the chance, princess." He replies in a cocky voice. His comrades smirking at the scene, so sure of their own powers and abilities. Not knowing we are not regular werewolves. The other vampires look hungrily at my girls.
"I will give one warning, back off and leave! Or we will make you." I say with an eye roll. The vampire laughs.
"You really think the scrawny Wolfie boy can rescue you, baby? Do you even know who I am? I am not used to be told no, and I always get what I can." He flashes his red eyes and fangs again. His friends doing the same.
I shake my head, stepping forward with the girls.
"No. They will not be fighting. We will!" I tell him, handing Matt my high heels. The vampire’s laugh. freewebnovёl.ƈom
"Haha, this is going to be easier than I thought." He states, just before I throw him across the room. Each of the girls captures a friend of the leader with their powers. I pin the leader to the ground, letting Galaxy share my mind. I can feel in the aura shift in the room as the others have let their wolves do the same.
"I am no ordinary wolf, fangster. I am the Queen of the wolves and magic kind. The Galaxy wolf. You will never be mine, nor will I ever be yours. Now leave, or I have no problem with kicking you back to where you came." Galaxy states, while Blade sends naughty pictures into our mind turned on by the power we displayed.
The vampire raises his hands in surrender.
"I am sorry, your Majesty. We weren’t aware you were you and they were them. Please accept my apology, both on behalf of me and my friends." His friend’s nod with wide eyes.
Galaxy lets me take full control again, and I smile. I let him go from my power, reaching out a hand, helping him up from the ground.
"Stop hitting on random people, especially when they are clearly taken." I say.
After that, everything else was dandy. We talked some more with the vampires; the guys giving them a lecture on hitting on their mates.
Valentine’s day was as romantic as I hoped. Matt went all out with roses in all different colors, chocolate and dinner. We ate in our room, enjoying each other. We had everything I was craving. Being pregnant was already making me crave lots of stuff, mostly things with chocolate or cheese. I ate as healthy as I could. But on this day, everything was sin.
Matt rented all my favourite movies, supernatural and human alike. It was a beautiful day.
Another month went on. I have my check-ups with the doctor, and right as she was, we were having a boy and a girl. Damn, Galaxy was good. She laughed in my mind.
A week after the confirmation of the gender, I sat in my office looking at a fitting dress for my official Luna coronation, with Ellie, who needed one for hers as well.
We were talking about the ridiculousness of having this ceremony, but Matt, Jason and their parents had insisted, despite her and I have been acting Luna for months.
Suddenly my office is swamped in bright multicolored light and out steps Selene and two unfamiliar women. I smile at them, guessing who they are.
"Abigail, may I present my sisters Ophelia and Monica. They are the goddess of vampires and magic kind, respectively." Selene introduces them. I bow my head as Ellie curtseys.
I am about to mind-link Matt when I feel a teleportation coming on. In a flash, my office disappears, and I land in an unfamiliar room. I look around, and am met with an outburst I didn’t think I would hear anytime soon.
"ABBY!" And then I am met with a hug from my littlest sister.
