Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Darkness
Abby’s POV
’We haven’t explored all of our own powers yet, doll, but indeed she is an air elemental. They connected all Star wolves to an element; air, water, fire, and earth. You contain a bit of all the elements, and that is part of why we are their Queen.’ Galaxy explains and retreats to the back of my mind again and settles down. Great, so I will have to learn new powers, just what I needed in this crazy world; I call my life.
"So, Morgan. We will handle your new elemental powers later. Right now, we need to wrap this up before our mates realize we are gone." I say and look at her. She looks confused, but I can see in her eyes that her wolf is filling her in already. Her eyes keep shifting from a stormy grey to her own warm brown.
’Too late, doll. They already know, seeing as we have been here quite long already. I have told Blade not to worry and to keep Matt and Brandon from destroying the pack. He is not impressed with us being gone, but as long as we can still communicate it’s going to be fine’ Galaxy tells me in amusement.
’How come Matt hasn’t tried to reach me or Brandon tried to reach Morgan?’ I ask her, kind of dreading her answer.
’Easy, I am blocking them so you can focus on this. It is important, and you don’t need those two possessive males to interrupt.’ I shake my head at my headstrong wolf.
"Your wolf got anything interesting to say, your highness?" Aros asks with amusement. He obviously noticed my inner dialog with Galaxy. I blush and give him a smirk.
"Yes, actually. She has blocked out our mates’ mind-link because we need peace for this conversation. But they are kind of panicking over Morgan and I being gone. Galaxy, my wolf, has reached out to my mate’s wolf and told him to keep them from ripping things apart." I say with a laugh. Morgan hides her head in her hands. We both know we are going to be in so much trouble when we get back.
"Aros, I think it will be best if you send us back now. We will continue this conversation tomorrow in the pack house. You can teleport directly in there, right? Then we have had time to explain to Matt and Brandon and make them see reason. Goddess, that is going to take time." I say with a smile. frёewebnoѵēl.com
Aros nods and confirms he can teleport to every location Morgan is at. They are magically linked, in case Sylla gets her hand on Morgan, then Aros can go free her. It was a safety precaution that comes in very handy now. We agree he will come to the pack house just after lunch the next day, and then I fell how Aros teleports me and Morgan back. As we land in the pack ground, I see two all to familiar people run towards us. But before they can reach us, I feel someone summon me by teleportation again and then the pack lands are gone.
What the hell just happened? Galaxy is pacing in my head, anxious and on alert.
When the darkness lifts, I see a meadow and trees around me. The sight is beautiful and I can feel the magic in this place. Something dark is looming in the shadows, but before I can dwell too much on that fact, the meadow is bathed in a bright silver light.
Then Selene is suddenly standing in front of me, very pissed off and fuming.
"KERES SHOW YOURSELF! I KNOW THIS IS YOUR WORK! COME OUT NOW!" Selene yells.
Who the hell is Keres? My question is answered when a dark figure separates from the shadows, cackling madly.
"Oh, so I got your attention there, sister dear?" The dark figure says. SISTER? What is going on here?
"Why would you kidnap the Luna of Silver Mist? This is crazy, even for you Keres." Selene states.
"Wait, wait, wait." I say, as I step forward. "She is your sister?" Selene nods in my direction, but never takes her eyes off of Keres.
"Yes, she is the fourth sister, actually. Me, Ophelia, Monica and Keres. But you already know this, Abby." I think back to the children’s stories my mother used to tell me, and remember one of the four sisters, goddesses and creators of our realm. To hear the stories, and then be confronted with the truth of those stories, is something else entirely. I also recall the conversation we had when Ellie and Willow first came to the pack. As crazy as this is, I’m in the middle now, and will do my duty to my people as their Queen. I sigh.
"Enough of this small talk. I brought her here because I knew you wouldn’t be far behind. I am surprised Ophelia didn’t come with you. Normally you two are tied at the hip." Keres says in a mock concern voice.
"You’ve got me here. Now let Abby go home." Selene states, crossing her arms. Keres looks amused and taps her finger on her mouth as if she is thinking it over.
"Yeah, that will be a pass at that. I rather like her, and maybe I will..." But she does not get to finish that sentence before I feel a pull and the meadow disappears. The last thing I hear is Keres swearing. "Those meddlesome witches.." And then everything goes dark.
I land on something soft, and the surrounding voices speak in soft tones. I recognize some of them, but one stands out entirely. Matthew.
"Is she alright? Why isn’t she waking? I’ll kill whoever took her." He growls at the last part, and I can hear his wolf is on edge.
"Will you relax already, Alpha? Being summoned by a goddess will take energy from everyone, but she is okay. Keres summoned her, if I am reading this right and we brought the Luna back against the goddesses will. She will wake soon."
This is the last thing I hear before darkness takes over again.
