Chapter 252: Chapter 252 Unwelcome Newcomers

Mira fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

The sky is dark when I wake up again. Magoth didn’t let me sleep or recover from his repeated reminders of who is the boss around here. My body is fucking sore, and I hate him so much, but at the same time I have craved his touch and nearness. I dress quietly, knowing I am alone in the tent. Magoth left a while ago, as someone came to fetch him. I didn’t bother to get up. Now I’m starving and need to have some food before I can think straight.

I walk to the food tent, people are eyeing me warily. They know Magoth slept with me again, and that means my position is once again restored. They don’t dare say anything, though some make suggestive noises and moves. I mostly ignore them. I have other things to concern myself about.

As I am sitting to eat, a guard walks in, scans the area and comes straight to where I am sitting. I ignored him at first. He tries with various noises to get my attention, but when that doesn’t work, he has to speak to me. I know most would rather have their eyes removed with a hot poker than speak to the former werewolf girl, who turned on her people. Even amongst these creeps I am considered disgraced because of my actions. Fucking dimwits.

"Miss Mira, a moment?" The guard politely says. He sounds like he’s choking on his tongue because he has to be nice to me.

"What is it?" I ask, not in the mood to be polite.

"The Master needs you in his tent immediately." I keep eating. "Now, miss." He says again a little more impatiently.

"He can get me himself if it’s that important." I tell him without even looking up. The man swallows loudly.

"He said that either you follow freely or I am to drag you there." He then informs me. I slam down my cutlery, the plate breaking in two. I might not have my wolf anymore, but the dark magic that brought me back let me keep the strength, speed, hearing and sight of a wolf. I might not be able to growl or all that other bullshit, but at least I am not as weak as a disgusting human.

The guard waits until I am on my feet, and then he turns around on his heel and leads the way out of the food tent. I grumble to myself when people around me snicker. I hear some girl tell her friends I must not be so important to Magoth when he summons me this way.

"He probably just fucked her to keep her quiet. She is really annoying." Someone else says. The guard ignores the comments and leads me to Magoth’s tent. He opens the flap and gestures for me to go in. I do as he silently tells me with an eye roll. He is clearly not coming in with me.

Inside Magoth is sitting with two complete strangers. I raise an eyebrow at them. One of them is a middle aged man with cold gray eyes, bluish black hair and dark tinted skin. He is in good shape, and would have been attractive if his aura was not as frozen as a tundra. The woman has a scar over her left eye, which has left it white and blind. Her skin is almost glowing and the dark gray/white hair makes her seem out of this world. I rack my brain. Something is telling me I know these people, but it won’t come to the surface. Not until Magoth introduces us.

"Pet, this is Narine and Ezekiel. They are a former favorite of the late King of the underworld and Council member. You know the Council your former Luna killed." Narine snickers.

"Technically, Magoth, I was the one to kill them. I do not work well with stupid males." Ezekiel looks at her with a slight surprised expression before he masks it. Oh we are truly in trouble now. I suddenly remember where I have heard their description before. We were told about Narine when we were kids, and I overheard Amber tell her mother about Ezekiel a couple of years ago when she had been kidnapped in the Dragon Lands. If they are here that means we are going in with the big league.

"I have arranged for our little party to move within the next three days. We are going to be joining forces with Narine and Ezekiel. They have offered us something I cannot refuse." I cross my arms.

"Weren’t you already defeated by Abby and her band of mutts once?" I ask the lady. Her mouth turns into a thin lipped frown.

"That wasn’t a defeat as much as me retreating in time to try again." She says with a sneer. She clearly doesn’t like me, but that goes the other way as well. She seems like the sort of woman who will do anything to get her way, and I don’t need another me in here. There are enough sluts to fight for Magoth’s attention as it is.

"So, you’ll need us as pawns and let us die and run away again when you are defeated once more." I say this with all the attitude in the world. She rolls her eyes.

"I thought you said this one would be smart and practical, Magoth. She doesn’t seem like it." Narine says to him, ignoring my glare.

"Mira, sit your ass down and listen for once in your life." Magoth says with a sigh. As much as he is a demonic overlord, he just sounds very tired and strained right now.

Narine smiles. The smile is sinister and cruel.

"Mira? As in Mira Rose?" She asks, her voice sweet as honey. I know she is trying to bait me, but I answer nonetheless.

"And what if it is?"

"So, you are the one who let the little wolf King slip through her fingers only to get banished when you tried to kidnap his Queen?" She asks. I almost scream in frustration. What is it with everyone thinking Kiara is his true mate and will be Queen?

"She is just some stupid fox slut, who has put a spell on my mate!" I tell them while crossing my arms.

"That is not what he says." She answers with a snicker. I jump to my feet, but Magoth drags me down into the chair again.

"Mira stop jumping into her traps, and Narine stop baiting her. This is getting us nowhere." He growls, his aura out and forcing especially me to comply with his command. Narine sighs dramatically.

"But I was having so much fun, Magoth. You cannot deny an old girlfriend some fun, can you?" She smirks at me, my cheeks heating up in anger. So, she is his ex. I should have known.

"At least he had enough taste to stop sleeping with a half blind tramp." I interject, this time making Narine jump to her feet. Ezekiel grabs her, getting her back into her chair. He whispers something in her ear, and she crosses her arms. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

"If everyone can play nicely, we can get moving on the plans." Magoth says, I turn to him.

"We don’t need their help. They are just going to over complicate things." Magoth gestures for me to shut up, and even I know when the battle is lost. I still need to tell him about my parents’ betrayal, but I don’t think now is the right time to do it.

"Narine and Ezekiel have somewhere where we can hide our forces and get out of this tent camp. It is better enchanted than this place, and we will still spy on the Silver Moon pack and the King. We’ll need to move out tomorrow morning." That was not a question.

"If there isn’t anything else, I will go pack my things." I tell them, but Magoth stops me.

"How did it go with your parents today, pet? Did you convince your father to join our little group?" I sigh.

"Not exactly." He narrows his eyes.

"What happened?" I sign with my eyes. I’d rather not speak of it in front of strangers, but he just crosses his arms with a stubborn expression.

"Well..."
