"How about we meet up downstairs in an hour? I need to speak to my mate." I tell the others, slapping Kiara on the butt. She yelps, smacking me on the back. Both Alastair and the twins agree doing the same to their mates. Both girls are yelling profanities at their mates, promising revenge and death upon us all. Us guys can’t help but laugh.
"Uhm, Maze?" Joram asks, and I turn my amused gaze to him, my expression changing real fast with his serious face. "We were wondering if you minded we took a run instead? We’ll be back a little later, but we might not be back when it starts." He says, pointing to his brothers. I nod, putting Kiara down.
"Of course. I’m sorry..."
"No! We’re just.. We need some time, you know?!" I nod.
"Take all the time you need!" They nod and bow their heads to Kiara before turning on their heels and leaving through the front door.
Kiara shoots me a concerned look.
"Are they okay?"
"I think they are taking it kinda hard that Kristian and Leon found their mate today. They are the only ones who haven’t and I know especially Jasper is about to give up hope. He is by far the most impatient one of the three." Kiara hugs me close.
"I’m sorry if we made them feel left outside." She says, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. She so badly wants everyone to be happy and satisfied and the thought of her or us doing something to make them feel less than that has her on the brink of tears. She is such a sweetheart. Kristian and Alastair have let their mates down as well, and both of the girls seem to feel the same way as Kiara. Especially Callie looks very guilty.
"Alright, let’s go change and come back downstairs, we’ll get a headstart and the triplets will join us when they come back. This is no one’s fault." I look pointedly at Callie. "And they will come back with fresh minds." Everyone nods, but Callie then tells her mates on the way up she has nothing to wear as she didn’t think to pack a bikini. Frida and Kiara immediately tell her she can borrow one of theirs and then grin at each other. It ends up being one of Kiara’s and then we close the door to get changed ourselves.
’Dude, are you two coming down or what? Even Ryan and James are here.’ Kristian mindlinks me. We are actually on our way down the stairs, and Kiara swats my chest when I tell her they are asking for us now. We have been in our room for well over an hour because I might or might not have pinned my beautiful woman to the wall and taken her there, before moving her to the bed. I made sure she was well satisfied before we went downstairs again. I smirk at her when we reach the bottom of the stairs. We take a detour through the kitchen and ask if we can get some meat and sides out for our BBQ tonight.
"Of course, Alpha. Is it just the ranked members?" The Omega asks, and I shake my head knowing that will not be in Kiara’s spirit.
"No, this will be for everyone who wants to join us. We’ll be out by the pool for the rest of the day." She smiles while nodding.
"What’s your name?" Kiara asks, and the girl seems a bit taken aback with the question, but she quickly bows her head to Kiara before answering.
"Madeline, Luna." She answers and Kiara smiles.
"It is nice to meet you Madeline! Could we maybe bother you guys with some drinks and snacks for the afternoon, if you are not too busy? Otherwise I can do it myself, if one of you would show me where things are." Madeline’s eyes light up.
"Of course, Luna. Whatever you are comfortable with! We can bring things out, or you can do it. We’ll help however we can." Kiara shoo me out of the kitchen, and I peck her lips before leaving them to whatever she has in mind. I can hear the giggling and laughing as I exit outside through the kitchen door.
"Did you get her good?" Alastair asks while wiggling his eyebrows. I take off my slipper and throw it at his head. He avoids it with a laugh before diving into the pool. Frida shakes her head at her mate telling him it’s his own damn fault if I whoop his ass one of these days. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"Thank you, Frida." I tell her with a smile, but she just narrows her eyes at me.
"But seriously, Maze. Couldn’t you leave my poor girl alone until tonight. She doesn’t need to be sore now." She says pointing an accusing finger at me. I just chuckle, wiggling my own eyebrows at her. She makes a gag sound just as Kiara and a few Omega’s walk out with a tray each.
