As we pull up at the house Ryan and James are going to be living in from now on, Leon and Kristian walk out with a gorgeous girl. She has fair skin, almond shaped eyes and pointy ears. She is almost as tall as the guys, even while wearing flats. Her hair is braided back, its purple color shining in the sun. Her eyes are golden, under lashes of purple. She is definitely a vision, and an instant insecurity settles in my stomach. I know she is the mate of our Beta’s, but what if she is out for more? What if Maze wants her instead of me? How can I compete with such a beautiful woman? She looks more like a Luna than I ever am going to.
"Kiara, angel, breathe." Maze whispers in my ear. I didn’t even realize he got out of the car and to my side before I heard his voice. I have just been spiraling in my own head. I take a deep breath, as he kisses my forehead. "No one can ever compare to you, baby! You are mine!" He says, turning my head so our eyes lock. "We mated and marked each other, remember?" I nod. "That means you are never going to get rid of me! I love you Kiara. No one can compare to you. Not her, not anyone!" I lean my forehead to his chest, hiding the shame I am feeling.
"I’m so ashamed right now." I mumble into his shirt and he chuckles. "How did you know by the way?" I continue, still mumbling into him.
"Baby, you really don’t have to be ashamed. Your feelings are valid, and I’m just here to tell you, you have me! And I’ll keep telling you forever if that’s what you need." I look up at him, and he leans down to give me a soft kiss. "And as we are mated and marked, I can feel your feelings and they are not very subtle." He grins, as I groan and hide in his shirt again, trying to get my blushing face to calm the fuck down before having to face everyone else.
We take another second by the care, hugging each other, before Maze helps me out and closes the car door. We walk hand in hand, and I give the new girl a big smile. She smiles back, bowing her head to us in respect.
"Alpha King Maze, Luna Queen Kiara, it is an honor and pleasure to meet you! My mates have spoken highly of all the ranked members, but you two most of all." She says, sending the twins a side eye filled with amusement.
"The pleasure is ours, Calliope."
"Oh, please call me Callie, Alpha King." Maze looks at me, and I nod. I know what he is silently asking, and I couldn’t agree more.
"Then you must call us Maze and Kiara." He says, while I nod again. Callie stares at us, and then she laughs. freeweɓnøvel.com
"Excuse my tardiness, but when my mates told me you would probably insist on this, I did not believe them. You are very kind to allow me that, but I could never.."
"We really do insist. You are mated to our Beta’s and will be our Beta female. We are a family here, one I hope you will be happy to be in." I say, trying to gauge her reaction to that. She doesn’t have to reply however, because just a second later she is lifted from the ground by Alastair, who in turn gets tackled to the ground by Leon, while Kristian catches their mate and puts her behind him. It all happens so fast, and neither of Maze and I can react before Leon and Alastair are brawling on the ground, shouting and cursing.
"I guess no one told the twins she is cousins with Alastair." Maze says, crossing his arms and looking at the two men on the ground. I roll my eyes.
"ENOUGH!" I say, Winter releases our full aura for the first time. Alastair, Leon and Kristian bare their necks in submission. "Callie is cousins with Alastair, which means he is allowed to hug her! And I don’t think this caveman attitude is going to impress her very much." Callie giggles.
"Actually I am very flattered, Luna." She says, and I scoff at her. She hides behind Kristian, who glares at me. Maze growls at this, and he immediately backs down with an apology.
Frida smacks Alastair on the back of his head when he is off the ground, while I scold them for behaving foolishly. Maze mindlinks me if someone does that to me and he doesn’t know he they are, they are going to be dead before they hit the ground, which makes it very hard to keep a stern attitude. freёweɓnovel.com
When everyone has apologized and Alastair finally said hi to his cousin, I return to the other question at hand.
