Chapter 1201: Chapter 1201: What Makes You Worthy!
"Brother Jose, are you there? I’ve brought you some soup."
Andrea Greenwood called out but received no answer from inside, so she gently pushed the door open.
The sharp smell of alcohol hit her face, making Andrea frown as she stepped inside.
On the balcony, Jose Floyd stood beneath the late-night stars, holding a bottle of whiskey and sipping from a wine glass, with shards of empty bottles scattered at his feet.
"Brother Jose, it’s very late now, please stop drinking and have some soup." Andrea approached, her voice soft and gentle.
Jose Floyd didn’t even spare Andrea a glance, his attention entirely on the alcohol.
Remembering Olivia Summer’s words, Andrea mustered the courage to approach Jose Floyd, reaching for the bottle in his hand to take it away.
Jose Floyd’s gaze momentarily glazed over, as he grabbed Andrea’s hand and softly called out, "Nicole."
Andrea’s hand froze in mid-air, stopping in front of Jose Floyd, his voice calling her that name echoed in her ears.
Nicole... Brother Jose had mistaken her for Nicole.
An indescribable pain and resentment rose in Andrea’s heart.
When Jose Floyd’s gaze settled back on the person in front of him, he flung Andrea’s hand aside, his eyes filled with disdain and coldness: "Who allowed you into my room!"
The sudden shift from his earlier quiet murmur to now ruthless indifference, all because he realized she wasn’t Nicole, left Andrea with a bitter and sad heart.
She looked at Jose Floyd, her voice still gentle, "Brother Jose, I brought you some soup, please drink it instead of alcohol. Give me the bottle, I’ll put it away." Andrea said, reaching once more for the bottle in Jose Floyd’s hand.
Jose Floyd avoided Andrea’s attempt, his gaze icy cold, his voice devoid of warmth, "You dare reach for something in my hand! Do you really think you’re Jose Floyd’s wife? Want to become my wife, do you have the qualifications?"
"Brother Jose, could you not be so cruel, you know I like you... Could you be just a bit kinder to me, no, not kinder, just look at me a few more times, is that okay?"
Andrea looked into Jose Floyd’s eyes, mist gathering in her own, blurry with a pitiful fragility.
Jose Floyd’s face remained emotionless, responding with a single word: "Leave!"
Andrea’s body trembled slightly, looking at the cold, iceberg-like man, biting her lip as her voice turned hoarse: "Brother Jose, let’s get married... Nicole didn’t want to have your child, she aborted your child, but I am willing! Brother Jose, I am willing to bear your child! Nicole’s heartlessness in aborting the child proves you mean nothing to her heart. Brother Jose... will you marry me? I promise to be the most qualified wife and mother!"
As Andrea said this, she moved closer to Jose Floyd, holding a nourishing soup in one hand, her cheek slowly nearing Jose Floyd’s side face, her heart pounding wildly.
Before her lips could touch Jose Floyd’s cheek, Jose Floyd clamped down on Andrea’s chin, the violence and chill in his eyes reaching an extreme, his voice cold as if Hell’s Yama, "What you just said is enough for me to kill you!!"
Jose Floyd’s grip mercilessly tightened, looking at Andrea’s pale face, sneering coldly, "The grudge between her and me, what right does an insignificant passerby like you have to talk about it! What right do you have to bear my child!"
"We have a marriage contract, Brother Jose! We are supposed to get married in the future!" Andrea’s eyes welled up with tears, biting her lip looking at Jose Floyd, her appearance pitifully innocent.
Jose Floyd’s lips lifted in a thin, cold arc, a frostiness in his brows as he gazed at Andrea, "Whoever agreed to this marriage, let them marry you!"
