Chapter 1188: Chapter 1188: Don’t Ever Appear Before Me Again [2]

The nurse reached out to help Nicole Seys lie down. Nicole looked at the pen in the nurse’s pocket, her gaze devoid of warmth. She reached out her cold fingers and took the nurse’s pen, "Do you have paper?" she asked the nurse.

The nurse took out a patient chart from her pocket, tore off a page, and handed it to Nicole.

Nicole held the pen and scribbled a few words on the clean white paper, her fingers cold and trembling.

After writing, without lifting her eyes, she coldly tossed the paper to Olivia Summer and Andrea Greenwood, "Take this and get out. Don’t let anyone from the Seal Family appear before me again! My hatred for the Seal Family will never dissipate in this lifetime! I don’t want to see any of you from the Seal Family!!"

The paper fell to the ground. Nicole kept her head down and didn’t look at the two women.

Andrea picked up the paper from the floor, glanced at the handwriting left by Nicole, and her lips curled slightly as she spoke to Olivia in a gentle and pleasant voice, "Auntie, let’s go. Brother Jose is coming back to the Manor Estate for dinner later, and we need to prepare soup for him. He’s been busy all day, and I feel for him."

Olivia nodded, looking at Nicole Seys, who sat on the bed with her head lowered, refusing to look at them. She sighed softly and replied, "Take care of yourself, Nicole. Andrea and I are leaving now. Nurse, please take good care of her. I’ve paid for the medical expenses. Nicole, you and Jose... just let it be..."

Nicole sneered without lifting her gaze, "Get out! Don’t ever appear in front of me again!"

Andrea held the paper Nicole had written on, took Olivia’s arm, and spoke cheerfully, "Auntie, let’s go. She won’t have any issues in the hospital! She’s an adult, and with so many nurses and doctors, since we’ve arranged for her to have the VIP ward, she will be well taken care of. Let’s not stay here. She might not appreciate our company and instead think we’re being pretentious!"

Andrea took Olivia’s arm and led her out.

Olivia glanced back at Nicole.

The sunlight shone on the hospital bed where Nicole sat, not lifting her gaze. In that moment, as Olivia turned back, she saw tears falling from Nicole’s eyes and felt a pang in her heart.

The tears fell silently, clear as crystal in the sunlight, quickly disappearing into the blanket, so subtly.

Nicole, so quiet and mute, her profile as pale as snow, caused Olivia’s heart to flutter, unsure if it was pity for Nicole or guilt for the hurt she had caused her.

But it was only for a moment, for Andrea pulled her from the room. Once Olivia could no longer see Nicole, her complicated thoughts began to recede.

She had to remain calm and composed, returning home to face her son. She had put in so much effort to prevent Jose from keeping Nicole by his side; she couldn’t falter at this critical juncture!

After Andrea and Olivia left, the hospital room fell silent.

The nurse, about to speak while checking Nicole’s condition, saw the patient with tears falling from her bowed head. She paused and then consoled in a deep voice, "Don’t cry, Miss Seys, take good care of your own health in the future. Your body is yours; apart from your parents, no one truly cares for you. Is that woman who left your mother-in-law? It’s quite something to leave you alone in the hospital. You were hospitalized after heavy bleeding to bear an heir for their family, how can they treat you this way!"

Nicole’s gaze was gradually veiled by moisture, becoming blurred.

Thinking back to what she had just written, recalling the words of Olivia Summer and Andrea Greenwood, her fingers felt cold as ice. She picked up the phone beside her bed and dialed a number she hadn’t saved...
