Leo thought as he walked back into the mysterious tower. In his mind,the young woman,Miss Fortuna,had been upgraded from a grunting glaring hateful woman to a witch.
Though the outside of the mysterious tower was small,the inside,and mostly the first floor was quite big. It was actually fifty feet larger than the system sweep that marked Leo’s territory.
"Here we go..."
Leo stepped on the formation at the center of the floor.
System Alert: You are about to step into the second floor...
As the notification popped up,Leo felt his vision blur for a second and when he recovered,he was standing on the second floor of the mysterious tower. This floor was a hundred feet smaller than the first floor. But the air here was more dense and had a calming property. Leo felt that spending a day here would be of help to his mental state.
"There is nothing to see here..."
Leo said as he looked at the second floor’s ceiling.
"Onward..."
Leo willed and the system notification popped up once more.
System Alert: You are about to step into the third floor...
His vision blurred once more,and a second later,he had appeared on the third floor.
"Gasp...!"
Leo whole aura dropped and as he gasped for breath. If the density of air on the second floor could be considered denser,the air here was in the extreme. Every breath he took appeared to have a nourishing effect to both his body and mind.
"Is this spiritual energy...?"
Leo wondered as he took a deep breath. Though he was not a cultivator,the energy here greatly aided him in suppressing the fatigue.
"This place is a gem..."
Leo said as he looked up.
"Unfortunately,my target is up there..."
Leo willed it and he was teleported to the forth floor.
[Welcome to the forth floor master....]
A mysterious voice reached Leo’s ears. He could not tell wether it was male or female.
"Who’s there...!"
Leo inquired as he unleashed his iron blade.
[Am the formation spirit of this tower...]
The voice replied. Leo could tell that the voice came from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It was like a voice in his head,but not in it.
"Formation spirit...?"
Leo asked for clarification.
[Yes master...]
"Kindly show yourself..."
Leo requested as it was weird talking to something he could see or tell where it was. A couple of seconds,a blob of light appeared at the center of the circular floor.
"You are the formation spirit...?"
Leo moved towards the blob of light. He observed that the blob was more of an oval and emitted a golden hue.
[Yes master...]
"How comes you only appeared before me now...?"
Leo inquired as he curiously looked at the blob of light. The more he looked at it,the more he felt that it resembled a golden egg.
[I appeared before master when you bonded with the tower,but master had already lost conscious...]
The blob of light explained.
"You are the one that brought me in the tower...?"
Leo finally had one of his question answered.
[Yes master...]
"Thank you..."
Leo bowed at the blob of light,who knows which beast would have chanced upon him in his unconscious state. Leo may have died without him knowing.
"Can you tell me more about the tower...?"
[No master...]
"Why...?"
[At my weak state,I had to pay a price for leaving the tower and bringing master in it,that was why I never came looking for master as I was recuperating...]
"Ooh...!"
"Am sorry that you had to suffer..."
Leo did not know why but he felt bad that this blob of light had to suffer because of him.
[It is my duty to serve master at all cost...]
"I want to challenge the floors..."
Leo informed as he stepped back.
[I still have to recover,but master can call me whenever he needs me...]
The blob of light vanished., leaving Leo alone.
System Alert: You have stepped on to the forth floor...
System Alert: Challenge mode activated,prepare for battle...
A minute later,several sections of the floor lit up,and of the ground came tens of beasts.
"Dogs..."
Leo was quick to identify the creatures. These were dogs,but they were slightly bigger and their eyes were beetroot red.
"Inspect..."
System Alert: You have activated Inspect.

Leo quickly counted,and he discovered that there were a hundred and twenty-one common rank red-eye dogs. Eighty-one of them were on the first level, twenty-seven were on the second level,nine on the third level,three on the forth level and one on the fifth level.
With such a number,many would break a sweat,but for Leo,this was nothing. He even sheathed his sword,and from his inventory,he retreived ten pieces of wood,piled them together and climbed on them,all before the red-eye dogs could reach him.
"Woof...!"
"Woof...!"
"Woof...!"
"Woof...!"
The red eyed dogs barked as they all gathered around the piled logs, trying to reach Leo,who was silently observing them.
"You are all close enough..."
Leo grinned as he activated one of his newly gained ability.
System Alert: You have activated Minor Poison...
System Alert: Choose mode of deployment...
"Mist..."
Leo evil grin was on,he had decided to test this new ability on the red eyed dogs.
System Alert: Five percent of your energy will be consumed for every ten feet radius of poisonous mist emitted for a duration of three minutes...
"Am fine with it..."
Leo said as he felt the delicate balance between his exhaustion and rejuvenation of energy slightly tilt. As for the result of this small sacrifice,a dark grey mist was emitted from his body,and a second later,the maddening barks of the dogs turned into wails and shrieks.
