Chapter 345: Chapter 269: The Guest (3)
"No, don’t!" After all the thrashing about, North was too weak to struggle and could only manage a feeble protest.
"Shut up! Don’t make any weird noises."
Feng Shan was speechless. The scene could easily give someone the wrong idea.
He had to shut North up first to prevent his shouting from causing any unnecessary misunderstandings.
Hearing Feng Shan’s voice, North finally relaxed a little.
He stopped struggling, letting his clothes be ripped off. But he still felt utterly humiliated and begged with a hint of a plea in his voice, "Leave me my pants."
The partygoers had followed Cigar all the way over. When they reached the bank of the Ice River, the scene that greeted them left everyone stunned.
All they saw was Feng Shan tearing the clothes off a man on the ground. The man was already stripped completely naked, an expression of utter resignation on his face.
Nash and some of the Indigenous People saw the scene and immediately understood. They knew Khilla was saving the poor, hypothermic bastard.
After all, in extremely cold regions, using this method to rapidly warm up the body of someone who has lost consciousness from hypothermia is sometimes a very effective form of treatment.
But some people—like Old Liu, Xu Hongxin, and Feng Jun, who had come from back home—didn’t understand what was going on.
At first glance, they thought Feng Shan had gotten... an urge... and was about to do something indecent right out in the open. Their faces were a mixture of surprise and embarrassment, and for a moment, they were at a complete loss for what to do.
"Xiaofeng, what are you doing? Let go of that... that man!"
"Mr. Feng, this is... hardly appropriate!"
"Brother Feng, maybe take it inside?"
Feng Shan, already on edge from the urgent need to save the man, grew even more furious when he heard them trying to stop him.
The other Indigenous People and those with some knowledge of first aid quickly spoke up.
"He’s doing this to save him."
"For hypothermia, you can use packed snow and ice water to stimulate the body."
"That’s right. This is how they treat it on the Tundra."
Oh, so he was just saving him!
Nothing to worry about, then!
As a murmur of agreement spread through the crowd, Old Liu and the others who had spoken up looked a little sheepish.
They quickly shut their mouths and said no more, though a hint of embarrassment still lingered in their eyes.
Under the intense shock of the cold water, North slowly began to come to his senses.
He was shaking like a leaf, his mind still fuzzy. He reached out with hands so frozen they were almost numb and shakily picked up the fur coat that had been tossed aside. He wrapped it around himself, trying to bundle up as tightly as possible.
Just then, Frank stepped out from the crowd and held out a bottle. "Here, buddy. Warm yourself up. This is my prized vodka."
"Thanks." North hurriedly took the bottle. He was in no state to be polite. He raised it and downed the strong liquor in one go.
The liquor burned its way down his throat, and he instantly felt a wave of heat spread through his body.
He let out a breath heavy with the smell of alcohol, and the deathly pallor of his skin was gradually replaced by a reddish flush. Finally, some color returned to his face.
"Alright, alright! Back to the party! Let’s celebrate saving this unlucky bastard!"
Seeing North’s face flush from the alcohol, Feng Shan knew he was out of danger. He smiled, clapped his hands, and gestured for everyone to head back.
"Nash, find him a set of warm clothes."
Hearing this, everyone relaxed. Easy smiles returned to their faces, and the tense, awkward atmosphere from before vanished completely.
Laughing, they all turned and headed back toward the party. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
