Chapter 488: Chapter 271: Earnings from Just Three Days

Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

The polar night in Alaska is still long, with Wiseman Town shrouded in a deep blue hue.

For three whole days, Lin Yu’an was almost housebound, completely immersed in the sea of flight theory.

Those two heavy textbooks were no longer just dry words and charts in his eyes.

His brain, strengthened by the Golden Finger, quickly deconstructed, analyzed, and categorized thousands of knowledge points, ultimately building a complete and rigorous palace of knowledge.

Aerodynamics, aircraft systems, aviation meteorology, Federal Aviation Regulations... He not only memorized them but also understood and integrated them.

He could even conduct an entire simulated instrument flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks in his mind, including all route planning, weather analysis, and air-ground communication procedures.

He was confident in passing this first hurdle of theoretical knowledge. Next, he awaited favorable weather to engage in the crucial hands-on flight training.

During these three days, he deliberately avoided any news or stock prices about GME.

For him, that bullet had already left the chamber. His focus was not on anxiously watching the trajectory but calmly preparing for the next battle.

Until that afternoon, Aliya’s exclamation shattered the cabin’s tranquility.

"Lin! Come and see! You... you have to see this!"

Aliya was holding a tablet, browsing financial news, her voice filled with incredulous shock, even a slight tremble.

Lin Yu’an put down the book in his hand and walked over, with Emily curiously joining.

On the tablet screen, Yahoo Finance’s headline, in striking capital letters, read:

"GameStop Shake-up! Activist Investor Ryan Cohen to Join Board, Pre-market Stock Surges!"

Below the news was GME’s previously stagnant stock K-line chart. Today, a nearly vertical green line, like a spear, pierced the long-standing consolidation range!

Aliya’s finger trembled as she opened the app for Lin Yu’an’s securities account.

As the page refreshed, a new, dazzling series of numbers appeared before the three of them.

The market value of the account’s holdings was no longer the initial nerve-wracking 13 million.

The stock price, from his purchase at $22.5, after three days of brewing and today’s pre-market frenzy, now stood firmly at a high of $38.6!

This means that within just three days, his initial investment of 13 million dollars was now valued at:

577,777 shares x $38.6/share = $22,299,992.2!

A total of twenty-two million three hundred thousand dollars!

"My God..." Aliya covered her mouth, nearly unable to breathe.

In just three days, or rather, just this morning, they had netted over 9.3 million dollars!

This figure was already almost equal to the post-tax net income of the hefty Archaeopteryx contract he had just signed!

"This... this has... almost doubled?" Aliya stammered, feeling like she was dreaming.

For the first time, money in her eyes became such an unreal, wild number.

Emily also took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down from the massive numerical impact.

She looked at Lin Yu’an and found he still had that calm expression, as if this was all a scene already written in the script.

"Is this just... the beginning?" Emily tentatively asked.

"Of course." Lin Yu’an took the tablet from Aliya’s hand and closed the glaring account page, "I said this would explode. Now, the fuse has just been lit."

He smiled as he embraced his two lovers, who were dumbstruck by the massive wealth.

"Alright, don’t be fooled by these numbers; remember, until we officially exit, they’re just a string of codes."

He kissed their foreheads and whispered, "Now, let’s discuss some more practical matters."

"Like what?" Aliya asked, raising her head in a daze.

Lin Yu’an’s eyes shone with anticipation and plans for the future.

"For example, should our first flight be to Denali National Park to see North America’s highest peak, or to Katmai National Park to watch brown bears catching salmon?"

Lin Yu’an’s question, like a clear spring, instantly washed away the overwhelming impact of the nearly ten million dollar windfall.

Aliya and Emily’s thoughts were pulled back from the zero-filled, imaginary numeric world to the real and magnificent land of Alaska beneath their feet.

"Of course, Denali!" Aliya blurted out, her eyes instantly rekindled with the brightness of a Texas summer sun.

She stepped out of Lin Yu’an’s embrace excitedly and gestured in the living room as if she were already on that future airplane.

"I want to sit in the co-pilot’s seat! We want to fly over those giant glaciers and circle around the top of that white peak!"

"The book says only thirty percent of tourists are lucky enough to see the unobstructed view of Mount Denali without clouds. And we, we will be those luckiest people!"

Her face beamed with the desire for adventure, a pure joy money couldn’t buy but could be realized by it.

Emily, on the other hand, smiled with a gentler look towards Lin Yu’an: "If possible, I wish to fly to the Kenai Peninsula. I want to see its forests and lakes from the sky."
