Chapter 1911: Chapter 1896: Two-World Teleportation Formation

Previously on Five Immortals Island, Ye Zhen told Mountain God Yi Xun that his purpose for traveling this time was primarily to find Caiyi and incidentally to fulfill a previous promise.

And this promise, coincidentally related to the Demon Race, had its first destination perfectly aligned with the Taimeng Demon Realm.

Actually, this promise was entrusted to Ye Zhen during his last return to the True Profound Continent when he met the ancestor of the Devil God Palace, Teng Yi, who possessed the Flying Snake Bloodline.

This ancestor of the Devil God Palace had limited lifespan left, less than 60 years. He wanted Ye Zhen to convey a message to Xuan Hu, Long-Armed Fire Monkey King Sunx Ba, Pig Demon Zhu Hong, Green Fox Hu Qingtong—those he nurtured.

He wished these juniors he raised see him again during his lifetime back in the True Profound Continent.

This was indeed the final wish of this ancestor in the Devil God Palace.

As it turns out, Ye Zhen received this ancestor’s entrustment seven or eight years ago, although 60 years seem long.

But who knows how long this ancestor of the Devil God Palace can live.

Another fifty plus years, within 60 years; another forty, fifty years, within 60 years; another ten or twenty years, also within 60 years.

If Ye Zhen delivers this ancestor’s final wish too late, by the time Xuan Hu, Sunx Ba, Zhu Hong, and Hu Qingtong return to see him, this ancestor may have already passed away.

Not only would this ancestor never rest in peace, but Xuan Hu, Sunx Ba, Zhu Hong, Hu Qingtong, and others would resent Ye Zhen deeply, possibly never forgiving him.

As the saying goes, fulfilling tasks entrusted by others with loyalty and integrity.

This time, irrespective of whether the search for Caiyi involves going to Taimeng Demon Realm or not, Ye Zhen must visit the Taimeng Demon Realm to fulfill this promise.

However, Ye Zhen didn’t foresee, as per Mountain God Yi Xun’s advice and the Tianyun Hall’s Grand Venerable Heavenly Fortune Divine Ability’s calculations, the matters of the south and Taimeng Demon Realm coinciding.

Ye Zhen feels that this time he might find Caiyi’s whereabouts.

There are two ways to go to the Taimeng Demon Realm: one is traversing through the Chaotic Void, and the other is via those Ancient Teleportation Formations.

The method of traversing through the Chaotic Void, though convenient, requires high skill and is very time-consuming.

For reaching a world like Taimeng Demon Realm among the All Heavens Great World, even a mid-late Dao Realm expert has to spend years in the Chaotic Void.

This ongoing travel is extremely dangerous; unless there’s no other choice, even a Dao Realm expert is unwilling to endure the unpredictable Chaotic Void for long.

Basically, apart from heading to nearby Little Worlds, most people choose the Ancient Teleportation Formation to go to worlds like Taimeng Demon Beast among the All Heavens Great World.

Compared to Ancient Teleportation Formations between places on the Primordial Continent, the ones connecting other All Heavens World with the Primordial Continent are rarer and more stringently managed.

In any world, whatever faction is involved, treats these Ancient Two-World Teleportation Formations within their territory as the most dangerous strategic passages, managed militarily.

Especially like the Taimeng Demon Realm, which doesn’t have a good relationship with the Human Clan and experienced wars, these Ancient Two-World Teleportation Formations are particularly critical.

During the Demon Clan’s invasion, they enticed the Demon Race with benefits to jointly attack the Great Zhou Empire, compounded by the human clan enslaving the Demon Race—not only ordinary Demon Race, but even the strongest bloodline Dragon Clan were treated like livestock.

They say that during the Demon Clan’s invasion, any powerful Marquis of the Great Zhou Empire would have one or two Dragon Clan as mounts. Higher-ranking prince and nobles wouldn’t dare go out without a carriage procession of four dragons.

In grand banquets, Dragon Liver was a must for the grand finale, and things like Dragon Blood Wine and Dragon Blood Bath were common luxuries.

If that’s the status of the Dragon Clan, then don’t even mention the other races within the Demon Race.

When the Demon Clan invaded, the Demon Race also launched a massive attack, causing great pressure on the Great Zhou—not only that, countless Demon Beasts who served as steeds for the Human Clan army and nobles rebelled, creating immense trouble for the Great Zhou and chaos in the hinterlands, almost losing the Human-Demon Battlefield bulwark.

After that war ended, the relationship between Demon Race and Human Clan hit rock bottom, while the Great Zhou Empire elevated its defense against the Demon Race to the highest level.

Originally, there was a direct Two-World Teleportation Channel between Taimeng Demon Realm and Primordial Continent, but post-war, to prevent recurrence of the Demon Race fast-tracking directly, the Great Zhou added an extra point to the channel.

Now, to reach Taimeng Demon Realm, one must first visit a Little World named Zhengyao Realm from the Primordial Continent for transfer, before teleporting to Taimeng Demon Realm from Zhengyao.

This way, even if the Demon Race invades massively again, this Little World provides a buffer for the Great Zhou to respond leisurely.

Speaking of this transfer Little World Zhengyao Realm, its name has an origin.

Zhengyao Realm was initially called Demon Suppression Realm.

The Great Zhou Empire named it meaning ’World to Suppress Demons’, but the Demon Race was displeased with that.

Originally, the control of this transfer Little World was shared, but after naming it, the Demon Race disagreed—the Demon Emperors issued orders prohibiting entry.

However, the Great Zhou’s behavior remains consistently defiant, saying come if you wish; the name stays.

Ultimately, it was the merchants who made a difference.

Merchants trading between two major worlds have substantial backing.

Weak backgrounds would not suffice.

The Great Zhou was indifferent, but losses hit hard on trade merchants and their backing nobles.

Finally, the nobles behind these merchants exerted efforts to rename Demon Suppression to Zhengyao Realm, offering the Demon Race a graceful retreat.

Presumably, the Demon Race also had numerous merchants; these exerted influence, adjusted the tone, and eventually, the Demon Race made concessions—from a trade perspective, the Demon Race had more reliance.

Thus, Demon Suppression changed to Zhengyao.

Reportedly, after years of development, Zhengyao became a major trading hub between two worlds.

Obviously, Ye Zhen will take the second route.

After returning to North Sea County for a briefing and making minor preparations, half a month after coming back from Yizhi Sand Sea, Ye Zhen set off again towards the Taimeng Demon Realm.

The first stop: naturally, located behind the Human-Demon Battlefield—Zhengyao Two Realm City. First, teleport via Two-World Teleportation Formation to Zhengyao Realm, then from Zhengyao Realm to Taimeng Demon Realm.

However, Ye Zhen had troubles even before reaching the first stop!
