Below the city gate were many guards, they did not wear armour or hold halberds like mortal guards. Instead, they were dressed in large robes with a lightning insignia imprinted on the chest of the robes, all of the guards were wearing the exact same robes. This made it plainly obvious that they were all from the same family.
Tang Yin guessed that these guards belonged to the family governing Treasure Bank City.
On the side of the city gates sat a middle-aged man, he wore black luxurious robes threaded with gold, it also had a lightning insignia imprinted on its chest. The middleman stood out like a sore thumb among the various guards.
There was a large queue consisting of cultivators lined up before the city gate, Tang Yin was at the end of the queue. He had observed that every person paid 2 Low-grade Spirit Stones each to the guards before entering the city. Some would occasionally cast respectful glances towards the middle-aged man sitting beside the city gate.
