Chapter 69: Massacre

Tang Yin used the Heaven Deceiving Art to transform into a disciple he had seen multiple times in the past. He knew a bit about this disciple he had transformed into including the area where he lived, Tang Yin decided to visit that area first.

There were many guards patrolling the territory of the Shan family. These guards consisted of mortals and Spirit Channelling Realm cultivators of stages 1 to 4. However, Tang Yin was very strong now, these insignificant ants did not matter to him. He easily avoided their detection and reached his target.

Before him was a nice-looking house, the house was rectangular in shape, and it was built inside a large courtyard surrounded by walls. Only rich mortals or cultivators could afford to have a home like this in Maple Leaf City.

Tang Yin appeared inside the bedroom of the house, he did not make any noise when he entered. Before him was a bed, sleeping inside of the bed was a Shan family disciple.

The appearance of Tang Yin and the disciple was exactly the same, Tang Yin had used this disciple’s appearance to infiltrate the Shan family. He had seen this disciple multiple times during his life as a servant in the Shan family. Therefore, he decided to change into this person.

Tang Yin activated the Abyssal Sword and slashed at the disciple’s neck. The blood of the disciple dyed the sheets of the bed crimson. The disciple did not make a single noise, he had died in his sleep.

Tang Yin touched the forehead of the dead disciple and absorbed 1/10,000 of his lifespan, he did not search his memories, it was pointless. It was mentioned within the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit that the target did not have to be alive to perform the Soul Plunder. As long as the target had not been dead for too long, Soul Plunder would still be effective.

Tang Yin left the house of the disciple, he moved on to his next target. His target lived in a house with a similar style and size to the disciples he had just killed.

Tang Yin silently entered the bedroom of the house. It was nighttime, and most people in Maple Leaf City were sleeping, which was why Tang Yin headed straight to the bedroom.

Once Tang Yin entered the room, he saw a youthful teenager. He looked at Tang Yin in surprise and asked "Shan Tu, why aren’t you asleep yet? And how did you enter my house?" Clearly, this person had decided not to sleep, from his current position, Tang Yin could tell he was meditating.

Tang Yin did not waste time with this person, he instantly appeared before the disciple and covered his mouth. While making sure his mouth was shut, Tang Yin slashed at his neck. Blood rained down onto him and dyed his robes blood red. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Tang Yin similarly touched the forehead of the disciple and used Soul Plunder. He left the house shortly after and moved on to his next target. Like this Tang Yin visited every house in the Shan family’s territory, if the target was asleep, he would kill them in their sleep and use Soul Plunder. If the target was awake, he would cover their mouths and kill them, then he would use Soul Plunder. He only stole their lifespan, their memories were useless.

Half the night passed, and most of the disciples had been assassinated by Tang Yin. By his rough calculation, almost 300+ people had been killed by him whether they were mortals or cultivators. He did not spare any elderly or children, they were all mercilessly killed.

There were still many people left such as the patrolling guards or the servants’ quarters, but Tang Yin would have Xiao Fei deal with them later. He had only assassinated real disciples of the Shan family who were cultivators and important mortals with a high status within the Shan family. He had made sure to not let them scream or make any loud noises during their deaths, so it would not alert the clueless patrolling guards. After killing them, Tang Yin used the Soul Plunder to steal some of their lifespans.

All had gone according to his plan, the next phase of the plan was to visit the main headquarters of the Shan family and kill all the Elders and Young Masters.

Tang Yin made his way to the main quarters, he used the Heaven Piercing Gaze to find the strongest Elder and dashed towards his large house. The size of each Elders house was roughly the same, it was also much larger in size and luxuriousness compared to the disciple’s small houses.

The strongest Elder within the Shan family was only at the 5th stage of the Physique Transformation Realm. This was too weak in Tang Yin’s eyes, it would not take much time to kill this Elder. However, the commotion this would create could not be hidden. But this did not matter, Tang Yin had already considered this.

Tang Yin silently entered the courtyard of the Elder’s house. The Elder was meditating in his bed, he was absorbing Qi from the world. A large sword energy rushed in his direction, the elder swiftly opened his eyes and deployed a defensive Martial Skill.

The sword energy collided with the barrier formed from the Elder’s Martial Skill, and the barrier shattered. Although the barrier shattered, the sword energy was significantly weakened, it crashed into the Elder’s body and dissipated. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

The Elder coughed up a large amount of blood, just a single strike was enough to gravely wound him. However, this was largely related to the fact Tang Yin had ambushed him and the Elder did not have enough time to use all his defensive measures.
