Chapter 375: Offer
"Where is this location that you will supposedly be taking me to? Is it the mysterious Dark Yin Continent?" The Flametail Scorpion Mother inquired with intrigue. Her second question contained a hint of derision.
"No, it’s not the Dark Yin Continent. However, since you brought it up, what can you tell me about the Dark Yin Continent?" Tang Yin asked, his curiosity piqued as he hoped to glean more information about the Dark Yin Continent, which was constantly veiled in mystery.
It was safe to say that Tang Yin was completely ignorant about the Dark Yin Continent.
All he was aware of was that the True Martial World consisted of two continents, the Bright Yang Continent and the Dark Yin Continent.
Apart from this basic knowledge, he possessed no further information.
No matter how many memories he stole with Soul Plunder, or how many ancient tomes he read, Tang Yin remained unable to unearth any information concerning the Dark Yin Continent. Even Tian Huang’s jade tokens offered no insights into this enigmatic continent.
Tang Yin couldn’t fathom why everything related to the Dark Yin Continent was shrouded in secrecy by the Rank 8 Organizations, but he knew that Law Domain Realm cultivators, and perhaps Rank 8 Demonic Beasts, possessed some level of knowledge about this continent.
The Flametail Scorpion Mother exhibited genuine surprise upon hearing Tang Yin’s question about the Dark Yin Continent. She glanced at Xiao Fei and then back at Tang Yin before deciding to provide some information. "There isn’t much known about the Dark Yin Continent," she began, "but there are rumours that it is forbidden for any living beings to enter, regardless of whether they possess Rank 9 power or what you humans call Law Creation Realm strength."
"What else?" Tang Yin was highly intrigued. He couldn’t fathom what might prohibit an entity equal to the 10 Sovereigns from entering the Dark Yin Continent.
"Relax, let me finish." The Flametail Scorpion Mother remarked, rolling her eyes at Tang Yin’s eagerness. She proceeded, "Aside from that, all I’m aware of is that the Dark Yin Continent houses a fearsome entity that instils dread and fear even in Rank 9 Demonic Beasts and Law Creation Realm cultivators."
"A fearsome entity?" Tang Yin intensely pondered the limited information he had received from the Flametail Scorpion Mother.
"Unfortunately, this is the entirety of the knowledge handed down through my lineage. Even my ancestors possessed only this much information." The Flametail Scorpion Mother sighed and fell silent.
Tang Yin contemplated for a moment before releasing a sigh. It dawned on him that perhaps only the 10 Sovereigns or a Rank 9 Demonic Beast could possess more extensive knowledge about the Dark Yin Continent.
"So, tell me more about the place to which you wish me to relocate." The Flametail Scorpion Mother inquired, breaking the silence as she observed Tang Yin and Xiao Fei engrossed in processing the information she had imparted.
"It’s another world, separate from the True Martial World. Should you choose to accompany us, you’ll be granted your own territory. Your sole responsibilities will involve maintaining your territory and shaping its environment through your Passive Domain." Tang Yin explained honestly.
The Flametail Scorpion Mother froze, her eyes widening to the point where it seemed they might pop out of their sockets. "An independent world?!" She exclaimed in astonishment. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
Her astonishment was entirely anticipated. After all, the notion of an independent world separated from the True Martial World was entirely unprecedented.
While separate dimensions and small pockets of space did exist, they were distinct from being independent worlds. These realms still remained within the confines of the True Martial World and were relatively diminutive in size. Moreover, they were quite fragile and prone to shattering with minimal force.
This was common knowledge, and Tang Yin’s use of the precise term ’independent world’ left no room for ambiguity, it was precisely as he had described.
"Absurd! There’s no such thing!" The Flametail Scorpion Mother erupted with indignation. She found it utterly inconceivable that such a thing could exist. In accordance with her understanding, even the highest-ranking powerhouses within the True Martial World neither possessed nor had been privy to knowledge of an independent world.
"I can provide you with proof." Tang Yin asserted in a composed manner.
"Oh? How do you intend to prove it?" The Flametail Scorpion Mother inquired with a sense of curiosity.
"You can dispatch one of your subordinates into my independent world. After they return, you can delve into their memories and witness the world for yourself." Tang Yin proposed. He had already prepared himself to prove the existence of the Abyss Firmament to the Flametail Scorpion Mother and had already predicted her reaction.
The Flametail Scorpion Mother contemplated for a brief moment before consenting to the proposition. Without any delay, she promptly summoned a Rank 6 Flametail Scorpion.
After providing the Rank 6 Flametail Scorpion with a specific set of instructions, the Flametail Scorpion Mother turned her gaze toward Tang Yin, awaiting his next actions.
Tang Yin made contact with the Rank 6 Flametail Scorpion with his hand, causing it to vanish into thin air instantaneously.
The Flametail Scorpion Mother’s countenance transformed into one of shock and disbelief. She could feel that her connection with the Rank 6 Flametail Scorpion had been abruptly severed!
A few minutes later, Tang Yin expelled the Rank 6 Flametail Scorpion from the Abyss Firmament. It reappeared directly before the Flametail Scorpion Mother, who wasted no time and promptly rested her hand upon the Rank 6 Flametail Scorpion’s head, initiating a soul search.
A moment later, an unusual expression, tinged with a hint of shock, crossed her exquisite countenance.
"That’s your independent world? It’s only 10 kilometres large..." Disappointment tinted her expression, but she now firmly believed Tang Yin. She was certain that it wasn’t merely a separate dimension or a minuscule pocket of space, it was undeniably an independent world. Nonetheless, its diminutive size meant that it required further development to be considered a proper world.
"Don’t concern yourself with the size of the world. Upon entering, you can branch out from the primary 10-kilometre landmass and establish your own territory. I’m confident you’re aware of the immense expanse within my world. Therefore, you must also recognize its potential for development." Tang Yin countered. The Flametail Scorpion Mother’s remarks pertained to the small landmass within the Abyss Firmament, and she was well aware that, with proper development, it could ultimately transform into a genuine world.
"Since you claim it is your world, what are the rules?" The Flametail Scorpion Mother inquired cautiously. She harboured reservations about instantly consenting to enter the Abyss Firmament, only to discover that she and her nest had become military assets or subjected to some other unforeseen arrangement by this human.
"You needn’t worry over the rules, they are rather simple. Upon establishing your own territory, it will be designated as the Flametail Scorpion Biome, and you shall hold the title of Biome Lord, overseeing the Flametail Scorpion Biome."
"You’ll be tasked with maintaining your nest and developing a natural ecosystem. Additionally, you will be responsible for cultivating resources throughout your territory. Each year, there will be an annual harvest, and you’ll be required to contribute 70% of those resources to me."
"You are prohibited from initiating unprovoked attacks or causing harm to other inhabitants within the world without valid justification. Furthermore, you must heed my commands unquestionably. Naturally, I won’t ask you to engage in battles on my behalf or jeopardize your life for me."
"In return, you will possess a spacious territory, guaranteed safety, and the privilege to make requests of me. As long as they aren’t too excessive, I wouldn’t mind fulfilling any wishes you may have." Tang Yin explained with a charming smile, outlining the benefits of residing within the Abyss Firmament.
However, he also made it clear that there were no free lunches, the Flametail Scorpion Mother would be required to play her role rather than simply lounging about.
"Isn’t that akin to becoming your slave?" After pondering Tang Yin’s proposal for a moment, the Flametail Scorpion Mother inquired with a cold expression on her face.
Essentially, she would serve as a tool for the development of the Abyss Firmament, while also being obligated to contribute 70% of the cultivated resources from her territory to Tang Yin. Additionally, she would be required to heed Tang Yin’s orders for the most part.
In return, her benefits would primarily consist of securing as much territory as she desired, ensured safety, and the ability to make modest requests of Tang Yin.
From her perspective, the deal didn’t seem too unfavourable. However, she also held her pride as a Rank 8 Demonic Beast. She couldn’t simply submit to this human, whom she could effortlessly overpower like an ant.
"Rest assured, I won’t impose excessive demands upon you. My only wish is that you meet my fundamental requirements. Or would you prefer to remain here and eventually become the prey of a formidable Rank 8 Demonic Beast?" Tang Yin posed the question, hinting at the potential dangers that awaited her outside of the Abyss Firmament.
"Moreover, even though you’re technically the greatest entity in the Enflamed Desert Region, don’t your resources get plundered by other Demonic Beasts and occasionally by cultivators? In my world, you won’t require as many resources since you’ll be safe from all threats and won’t need to enhance your cultivation." Tang Yin reasoned, highlighting the advantages of the Abyss Firmament.
"Your kin and nest will also find a secure environment to cultivate peacefully in, rather than falling victim to cultivators and Demonic Beasts in this pitiful place. Nevertheless, the decision is entirely yours. I’ve extended the offer, and it’s your choice whether you want to accompany me or not." Tang Yin concluded, then sat down on a boulder near him.
The Flametail Scorpion Mother’s thoughts were in turmoil. She would essentially be relinquishing her freedom in return for complete security for herself and her nest. While there were a few other conditions, they didn’t appear to be overly significant.
"Sister Scorpion, my Master is a truly benevolent person. If you decide to accompany us, he won’t treat you unfairly!" Xiao Fei seized the opportunity and encouraged the Flametail Scorpion Mother with enthusiasm.
"My Lady..." The Flametail Scorpion Mother gazed at Xiao Fei, her heart already starting to waver.
