Chapter 369: Concluding Business With the Neutral Cultivation Alliance

As Tang Yin and Xiao Fei stealthily approached the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch, their vigilant scrutiny failed to reveal anything unusual or any signs of anomalies. However, neither allowed their guard to wane, as the possibility of a trap still lingered in the back of their minds.

Yet, everything seemed to be in order. A steady flow of Rogue Cultivators moved in and out of the pagoda, each exuding a profound wariness toward one another and their surroundings. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Tang Yin continued to observe the pagoda with the Heaven Piercing Gaze until he arrived right at its entrance. Without hesitation, though with a hint of caution in his eyes, he briskly stepped inside.

Even then, nothing occurred. It appeared his concerns had been nearly unfounded, as no trap lay in wait for him.

Nevertheless, he didn’t hastily cast aside his vigilance. With the same degree of wariness in his heart, he ascended to the 7th floor of the pagoda.

Upon reaching the 7th floor, his countenance shifted ever so subtly, taking on an expression tinged with nostalgia. This was because the Keeper of the 7th floor stood at the centre of the floor, gazing at him with a perplexed look in his eyes.

The Keeper of the 7th floor possessed a medium stature, accompanied by a lean and faintly muscular physique. His complexion bore the marks of exposure to the sun’s rays. He maintained his hair in a basic ponytail and was adorned in opulent robes ornamented with the insignia of the Neutral Cultivation Alliance.

He was Liu Hao!

"You are?" Liu Hao inquired with a trace of bewilderment. He had never encountered the individual who had just stepped onto the 7th floor before.

This wasn’t particularly unusual, as Tang Yin’s visage and physique were wholly concealed beneath his black attire. Furthermore, a diminutive Spirit Beast rested on his shoulder. This was an individual he had never encountered before.

Tang Yin remained silent, choosing instead to extract his Personal Identification Token from his storage ring and fling it in Liu Hao’s direction. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Liu Hao adeptly caught the Personal Identification Token, scrutinizing it intently.

"Demonic Asura!" Liu Hao uttered with a touch of astonishment on his countenance. Tang Yin had previously informed him of his intention to return after 10 years. Nearly a decade had elapsed since then, so his appearance wasn’t entirely unexpected.

"Indeed, Brother Liu. I’ve come to collect the Lightning Essences for which I commissioned four Global missions a decade ago. How many of them have been fulfilled?" Tang Yin nodded and swiftly transitioned to the matter at hand. He was keen on not lingering in this location for an extended period.

A glint of concealed mockery danced in his eyes. Tang Yin’s feelings and thoughts remained concealed, leaving no trace on his outward appearance. He appeared as unknowing as ever about the unfolding situation.

Upon witnessing Tang Yin’s strict business tone, Liu Hao felt a bit of relief inside... ’I won’t feel guilty about this now.’

"Of course. Allow me a moment to check." Liu Hao replied. He approached the central black altar on the floor and retrieved one of the jade tokens. After a brief examination, he returned and faced Tang Yin once more.

"Fellow Cultivator Asura." Liu Hao began in a professional tone, "Of the four Global missions you commissioned, only three have been successfully completed. For the mission that wasn’t fulfilled, you’re entitled to a refund of the 70,000 contribution points reward. However, please note that the mission commissioning fee is non-refundable once a mission has been commissioned."

’Three Lightning Essences.’ Tang Yin contemplated inwardly. ’That should suffice, given that I already possess six Lightning Essences. With these three additional ones, I should be able to refine the Nine Heavens Divine Lightning.’ In reality, he only required three Lightning Essences. He had only commissioned an extra mission back then for two specific reasons.

The first motive behind his commissioning of the fourth Lightning Essence mission was to establish a contingency plan in case one of the other three missions was uncompleted. The second reason was that he possessed a surplus of contribution points, allowing him to comfortably finance a fourth mission.

"Very well, that’s acceptable." Tang Yin responded before inquiring further, "Could you please specify which three of the Global missions were successfully accomplished?"

"The missions to procure Yin Lightning Essence, Yang Lightning Essence, and Elemental Lightning Essence were fulfilled. Unfortunately, the mission to obtain Life Lightning Essence was not completed." Liu Hao replied. As he did so, he promptly retrieved three white vials from his storage ring.

Liu Hao tossed the three white vials to Tang Yin, who deftly caught them. He proceeded to open all three vials simultaneously and meticulously examined their contents using his divine sense.

Ensuring that the three Lightning Essences were of impeccable quality and met his standards, Tang Yin promptly stashed them away within the Abyss Firmament whilst creating the illusion that they had been deposited into his storage ring.

"I want to rescind the uncompleted mission." Tang Yin stated.

"Of course, that’s not an issue." Liu Hao affirmed. "But as I’ve stated before, you’ll only receive a refund for the 70,000 contribution points reward. The 50,000 contribution points used as the mission commissioning fee is non-refundable." He reiterated this point to avoid any misunderstandings.

"That’s acceptable." Tang Yin responded, tossing his Personal Identification Token to Liu Hao once more.

Liu Hao began by removing the Global mission details from the jade tokens situated on the black altar. Subsequently, he credited Tang Yin’s Personal Identification Token with 70,000 contribution points. Afterwards, he handed Tang Yin his Personal Identification Token back.

Tang Yin promptly examined his Personal Identification Token to confirm the addition of the contribution points.

’Name: Demonic Asura’

’Contribution Points: 72,000’

’View Exchange Market’

’Current Mission: None’

As Tang Yin encountered the ’View Exchange Market’ option, a sudden idea sprang to his mind.

Tang Yin promptly accessed the Exchange Market and redeemed several items using his 72,000 contribution points. He exhibited no restraint, expending every last contribution point at his disposal.

"Flaming Desert Ore, Withered Dry Grass, Flame Crystal Beads, Oasis Prosperity Source Ore..." Liu Hao recited a list of resources and items that Tang Yin had redeemed from the Exchange Market. "We do have these in stock. Please wait a moment as I retrieve them." He then departed to procure the requested items.

While Liu Hao remained unaware of the specific purpose behind these items, he knew they were readily available in stock. After all, they weren’t exceptionally rare or considered precious treasures. Instead, they were relatively mid-level resources.

Tang Yin had a specific purpose in mind when he procured these fire and desert-related resources.

Once he enslaved the Flametail Scorpion Mother and her nest, they would naturally become inhabitants of the Abyss Firmament. The Flametail Scorpion Mother’s Passive Domain would eventually create the Flametail Scorpion Biome.

Tang Yin intended to introduce these acquired resources into the Flametail Scorpion Biome and cultivate them. As these resources multiplied and evolved within the Biome, he planned to harvest them. Essentially, he would be cultivating resources within the Flametail Scorpion Biome once it was established.

However, this approach wasn’t exclusive to the Flametail Scorpion Biome alone. Tang Yin intended to cultivate a substantial quantity of resources within all the Biomes created in the Abyss Firmament. The annual yield of resources would undoubtedly amass into an astronomical amount.

Of course, Tang Yin had no intention of personally harvesting all these resources. That would be an extremely time-consuming task.

Instead, he would delegate the responsibility to the Biome Lords, who would, in turn, command their subordinates to collect the resources. This strategy would not only save him time and effort but also manpower.

Very quickly, Liu Hao returned to the 7th floor and presented Tang Yin with a storage ring containing all the resources he had acquired through the redemption of his contribution points.

Tang Yin received the storage ring from Liu Hao and carefully examined its contents using his divine sense. Satisfied that everything was in order, he proceeded to transfer all the items into his own storage ring.

Now that Tang Yin had accomplished all that was necessary within the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch, it was time for him to sever his connections with Liu Hao and the branch itself.

Tang Yin exchanged parting words with Liu Hao and descended to the first floor of the pagoda. Without glancing back, he swiftly departed. Transforming into a black streak of light, he shot into the sky, disappearing with the speed of a Mid-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator.

Back on the 7th floor of the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch, Liu Hao remained.

Suddenly, three swirling vortexes of varying colours materialized beside him, and three individuals clad in black cloaks emerged. The intense auras of the Peak-stage of the Principle Manipulation Realm radiated from their bodies!

"He’s the one?" One of the three black-cloaked figures spoke in a hoarse, sinister voice that exuded an intimidating aura and boundless greed. He stood on the left side.

Liu Hao nodded and affirmed, "Yes, he is... From all the Lightning Essences he has acquired, I believe he possesses the Tier 1 Martial Skill, Nine Heavens Divine Lightning..."
