Chapter 360: Look at my Eyes (3)

Tang Yin was confident that Xin Shaung would follow his instructions. After all, he had manipulated the Heaven Binding Seal to exert some pressure on her, showing her that he indeed had the power to control her fate with a single thought.

Xin Shaung was naturally terrified and complied with his instructions earnestly.

Leaving Xin Shaung’s residence, Tang Yin proceeded towards Xu Yun’s abode.

The Holy Compound was sprawling and spacious, with considerable distances between the residences of the various Holy Sons and Daughters.

However, due to the Principle Step cultivation of the Holy Sons and Daughters, moving around the Holy Compound quickly was not a challenge for them.

Soon, Tang Yin found himself standing outside Xu Yun’s residence, and he couldn’t help but let out a surprised breath at the grandeur of it.

The entire compound was an expansive display of grandeur, with numerous mansions and palaces made from White Jade Ore. The place was a hub of bustling activity, with maids stationed everywhere. The sheer opulence of it all left Tang Yin both amazed and somewhat incredulous of such extravagance.

"Is it really you?" Before Tang Yin could fully take in the opulent surroundings, an excited divine sense reached out to him.

"Calm down, we need to talk in private." Recognizing Xu Yun’s voice and realizing her reckless use of divine sense, Tang Yin felt a surge of irritation and frustration. He was relieved that no one else had intercepted her divine sense, which could have exposed his true identity.

At that moment, Xu Yun realized the gravity of her impulsive action. She understood that Tang Yin was currently lying low and couldn’t afford to be discovered. After all, the last time she had seen him, he was with her grandfather, Qian Zhong.

Tang Yin’s recent association with Qian Zhong before his death would make him a person of interest to the Twin Snake Clan, who might want to capture and interrogate him to gather any potential clues about the circumstances surrounding Qian Zhong’s demise.

Despite her concerns and the potential suspicion around Tang Yin, Xu Yun firmly held onto her belief that her Brother Asura was innocent and couldn’t possibly be involved in her grandfather’s death. She saw him as a kind-hearted person who had always been there for her and protected her on multiple occasions in the past.

Furthermore, Xu Yun was aware that Tang Yin wasn’t strong enough to be a threat to Qian Zhong. She recognized that he was less powerful than even Uncle Liang, who couldn’t harm her grandfather in the slightest even at his most powerful.

Alas, Xu Yun’s lack of suspicion stemmed from her innocence, causing her to neglect the possibility that Tang Yin might have played a role in Qian Zhong’s demise indirectly, utilizing cunning schemes and manipulation instead of relying solely on his physical power or his cultivation base.

"Okay, quickly come to the main chamber inside!" Xu Yun’s excited voice echoed in Tang Yin’s mind as she retracted her divine sense. Her eagerness to meet the man she had feelings for after a decade was evident.

Tang Yin was slightly taken aback by the intensity of Xu Yun’s feelings for him. He had assumed that over the years, her emotions might have faded or changed, but it seemed that her affection for him still remained strong.

Despite his observations, Tang Yin proceeded into the lavish palace. The opulent interior only confirmed his impression of Xu Yun’s privileged upbringing, showcasing the extent to which her guardians doted on her. From his rough estimations, the entire palace was worth the wealth of a Rank 3 Organization.

Tang Yin’s swift steps led him to the main chamber, where Xu Yun eagerly awaited his arrival with evident excitement.

In contrast to Xin Shaung, Xu Yun didn’t immediately rush into his embrace or show any intimate affection. Instead, there was a sense of hesitance on her face as she looked at Tang Yin with clear determination.

"You are Brother Asura, right?" She wanted to confirm that the person before her was indeed Tang Yin and not an imposter.

With a sigh, Tang Yin rapidly changed his appearance with the Heaven Deceiving Art. Xu Yun had never seen his face before since he always covered it with tight nightshade clothing. Therefore, he changed his appearance to exactly how he looked when he first met Xu Yun.

Xu Yun met his gaze, observing his eyes that seemed to carry a detached aloofness as if they were disconnected from the world. His eyes portrayed an unshakable calmness, as though no matter what happened around him, his emotions would remain unmoved.

It was the familiar aura of the Demonic Asura she remembered! freёweɓnovel.com

However, she didn’t immediately start rejoicing. She regarded Tang Yin with a mix of hope and sorrow, and asked, "Brother Asura, you weren’t involved in my grandfather’s death, were you?" Her words carried a blend of sadness and a glimmer of hope. Despite her conviction that Tang Yin wasn’t connected to Qian Zhong’s demise, she needed to hear it directly from him.

"Senior Brother was always so good to me," Tang Yin began to weave a fabricated tale. "He treated me with kindness and generosity, fulfilling my every desire and need. Regrettably, I was far away from him when that vile Demonic Beast took his life." His words dripped with a mix of feigned grief and resentment as if he longed to exact brutal revenge on the creature responsible for Qian Zhong’s death.

Tang Yin spun his web of deception with a poker face, weaving a tale of utter bullshit as he looked into Xu Yun’s eyes. His words were carefully crafted to sound convincing, and given Xu Yun’s trusting nature, it wasn’t hard for her to immediately buy into his fabricated story.

After a long recount, Xu Yun’s expression was filled with resentment and relief.

Xu Yun’s emotions were a blend of strong resentment towards the loathsome Demonic Beast responsible for her grandfather’s demise, coupled with a sense of relief that Tang Yin was not connected to the tragedy and that he even wished to exact revenge.

"Brother Asura, I’ve been dedicating myself to rigorous cultivation ever since I learned of my grandfather’s passing. Only my mother, father and Elder Liang are aware of this." She confided, her voice tinged with determination. With her words, an overwhelming aura emanated from her, betraying the strength of her cultivation, a power that was now at the level of a Mid-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator.

Tang Yin feigned surprise, though, in reality, he had already learned of this fact when Xu Yun had reached out to him through her divine sense a few minutes earlier.

Seeing Tang Yin’s surprised expression, Xu Yun’s face lit up with a sense of accomplishment, as if her hard work in secret cultivation had finally paid off and had impressed him.

"I want to seek revenge against the abominable Demonic Beast that murdered my grandfather. Given that we share this common goal, how about we work together?" Xu Yun approached Tang Yin and clutched his arm with the enthusiasm of a young girl. Despite her significant advancement in cultivation, her innocence remained unchanged due to her limited experience in the outside world.

"Sure. But first, look at my eyes." Tang Yin replied mysteriously. He gently lifted Xu Yun’s chin with his hands, and their eyes met briefly. Xu Yun caught a glimpse of a swirling golden glimmer and a frosty blue flicker within his eyes, symbolic of the sun and moon.

In the next moment, her gaze grew vacant, and her body weakened. Tang Yin had utilized the Sun-Moon Great Illusion Art, ensnaring Xu Yun within its illusionary grasp.

In a manner akin to his actions with Xin Shaung, he placed his hand on Xu Yun’s head and initiated the Soul Plunder Martial Skill.

Despite having used Soul Plunder on her once before, a decade had passed since then, resulting in new memories that Tang Yin hadn’t obtained. Hence, by using Soul Plunder again, he acquired Xu Yun’s memories from the past ten years.

In an instant, a flood of memories rushed into his mind, merging seamlessly with the old memories of Xu Yun that he already possessed.

He witnessed the events that unfolded after Qian Zhong’s death. Xu Yun and several other significant members of Qian Zhong’s family moved to the Thousand Blossom Pavilion. He observed the Pavilion Master’s benevolence and the words of support from Wan Mei and Xu Cheng. Various scenes and events played out before his eyes.

’It seems Wan Mei and Xu Cheng are keeping Xu Yun in the dark about the details of Qian Zhong’s death. They’re protecting her from the harsh truth.’ Tang Yin mused internally. He recognized that Xu Yun had a close relationship with Qian Zhong, and revealing everything might lead to an emotional reaction that her parents were trying to avoid.

’Interesting... I can use this to get Xu Yun to lure Elder Liang, Xu Cheng and Wan Mei out of the Pavilion...’ Tang Yin thought, scheming about how to use the information he had gained from Xu Yun’s memories to further his agenda.

Tang Yin knew that directly confronting and capturing Elder Liang, Xu Cheng or Wan Mei within the Thousand Blossom Pavilion could lead to a messy and attention-grabbing situation.

He wanted to avoid causing chaos within the Pavilion that could expose his plans or force him into a desperate situation. Instead, he devised a strategy that involved using Xu Yun to lure them out of the Pavilion, which would provide him with a more controlled environment for his actions and increase the success rate of his overall plan.
