Chapter 355: Blissful Information

"Such a tragic fate," Tang Yin responded with a tinge of sympathy in his voice, his expression remaining thoughtful. "It must have been a formidable Demonic Beast to take down a cultivator of Senior Qian Zhong’s calibre. I wonder, did they manage to recover his remains?"

"The Twin Snake Clan hasn’t spoken of retrieving Senior Qian Zhong’s body. And even if they did retrieve it, only Law Domain Realm cultivators would likely be privy to such information." Hang Chenhao said, pausing to sip his wine before responding to Tang Yin’s question.

After a brief pause, Tang Yin voiced a question that had been gnawing at him. "Aren’t all the High-tier and Peak-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beasts under the supervision of the nine Rank 8 Organizations? How did one manage to escape and kill Senior Qian Zhong?"

"While it’s not yet verified, there are speculations circulating about the High-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast responsible for Senior Qian Zhong’s demise being unaccounted for." Hang Chenhao responded to Tang Yin, his tone taking on a sombre note.

"An unaccounted High-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast? There are essentially two conceivable explanations for this situation. Either a Mid-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast advanced to the High-tier, or a High-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast managed to evade the surveillance of the Rank 8 Organizations, leading to the unfortunate incident involving Senior Qian Zhong." Tang Yin summarised as if he and Xiao Fei had not been the ones responsible for Qian Zhong’s death.

"Indeed, Fellow Cultivator Chen’s insight is truly remarkable. Your deduction aligns with the conclusions reached by many of us Principle Step cultivators. The prevailing belief is that the likelier scenario involves a Mid-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast advancing to the High-tier."

"Escaping the scrutiny of the Rank 8 Organizations, even for High-tier and Peak-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beasts, is deemed practically impossible." Hang Chenhao applauded Tang Yin’s reasoning with a clear sense of admiration.

"It’s a shame that such a distinguished figure met such a fate," Tang Yin remarked, his tone laced with a hint of sorrow. "Speaking of which, what will happen to Senior Qian Zhong’s family and the Moonlit River Sect now that he’s gone? Have they appointed a new leader?"

"Well..." Hang Chenhao hesitated briefly, releasing a sigh before continuing, "Initially, the Twin Snake Clan did designate a new leader for the Moonlit River Sect. Yet, for reasons undisclosed, they reversed their decision." He paused, then resumed speaking.

"Instead of installing a fresh leader, the Twin Snake Clan opted to dissolve the Moonlit River Sect. The various Elders and disciples from the sect were redistributed among different subsidiaries affiliated with the Twin Snake Clan."

"However, it’s important to clarify that these disciples and Elders weren’t coerced into joining other subsidiaries of the Twin Snake Clan. In truth, they were given the choice to select the subsidiary they wished to align with." Hang Chenhao emphasized, making sure not to tarnish the Twin Snake Clan’s image.

Tang Yin’s brows furrowed slightly as he absorbed this information. "That’s an unexpected turn of events. I can imagine that such a decision would have caused a lot of upheaval within the Moonlit River Sect. What happened to Senior Qian Zhong’s family members? With so many enemies, especially at the Law Domain Realm, I can imagine that their fate must’ve ended in tragedy." He maintained his calm demeanour, his eyes betraying no hint of his true intentions.

"That’s what everyone thought. It’s common knowledge that Senior Qian Zhong had conflicts with Senior Xing Tao. Yet, remarkably, the Twin Snake Clan chose to step in and guarantee the safety of Qian Zhong’s family. As a result, no one dares to harm them, not even Senior Xing Tao."

"Anyone attempting to do so would be met with swift justice directly from the Twin Snake Clan." Hang Chenhao leaned forward slightly in his seat, alleviating his parched throat with another sip of his wine.

Tang Yin nodded thoughtfully. "It’s good to hear that Qian Zhong’s family is under the protection of the Twin Snake Clan. I’m sure that provides some comfort to them during these turbulent times." He took a small sip of the Exotic Jade Wind Wine, savouring its unique taste.

"Speaking of which, could you provide me with some details about the various subsidiaries of the Twin Snake Clan? I’m new to this Region, and I believe aligning myself with a reputable organization would be a wise decision." He looked at Hang Chenhao with an inquiring gaze, his expression revealing a hint of anticipation.

"This..." Hang Chenhao paused, his eyes betraying a sense of hesitation. He had divulged a significant amount of information, yet the promised rewards from Chen Xuan had not materialized.

His expression unmistakably conveyed that he wouldn’t proceed with further conversation until he received the compensation he had been assured of.

Tang Yin was far from naive. He swiftly grasped the underlying cause behind Hang Chenhao’s pause. With a swift motion of his hand over the table, a storage ring soared towards Hang Chenhao.

The latter adeptly caught the storage ring and examined it closely. His eyes widened before a contented smile spread across his face.

"Let’s begin with my Fleeting Moon Sect. We hold the position of a Rank 6 Sect under the Twin Snake Clan’s banner..." Hang Chenhao’s contentment was evident. After all, Tang Yin had essentially given him everything he had plundered from the Myriad Sword Sect in the Drifblim Region.

The items and resources acquired from the Myriad Sword Sect held limited value for Tang Yin, mainly as they predominantly catered to Mortal Step cultivators.

However, for a Rank 6 Sect like the Fleeting Moon Sect, these resources were invaluable, given that a significant portion of their sect comprised Mortal Step cultivators.

An entire hour slipped away in swift succession. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

Throughout this span, Hang Chenhao dedicated most of his time to acquainting Tang Yin with the different subsidiaries and affiliations of the Twin Snake Clan. He even touched upon some familiar organizations like the Thousand Blossom Pavilion.

As Hang Chenhao revealed the details of the Thousand Blossom Pavilion to Tang Yin, he also introduced the Orchid Blossom Saintess. She held considerable power as a cultivator of the Principle Manipulation Realm and was additionally the spouse of Qian Zhong’s son, Xu Cheng.

Unbeknownst to Hang Chenhao, the Chen Xuan before him was well-acquainted with the Thousand Blossom Pavilion and the Orchid Blossom Saintess, who had previously attempted to gain his favour during his time at the Moonlit River Sect.

Tang Yin recognized this as a prime opportunity. He convincingly expressed his interest in potentially aligning himself with the Thousand Blossom Pavilion, cleverly employing this as a pretext to glean further details from the unsuspecting Hang Chenhao.

It was just as Tang Yin had expected, his efforts had indeed yielded results!

As per Hang Chenhao’s account, following the dissolution of the Moonlit River Sect, individuals such as Xu Cheng, Elder Liang, Xu Yun, and several other immediate family members had opted to accept Wan Mei’s proposition to become part of the Thousand Blossom Pavilion.

Naturally, Wan Mei held the position of the Orchid Blossom Saintess and was also the wife of Xu Cheng. It was quite logical for both her husband, Xu Cheng, and their daughter, Xu Yun, to align themselves with the Thousand Blossom Pavilion.

Elder Liang held the distinguished status of a Peak-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator, a position that any organization would eagerly vie for. Nonetheless, his strong bond with Xu Cheng and his affection for his niece, Xu Yun, outweighed any other considerations. As such, he brushed aside alternative choices and resolved to accompany Xu Cheng to the Thousand Blossom Pavilion.

The remaining members of Qian Zhong’s family who had chosen to join the Thousand Blossom Pavilion had made this decision primarily out of unwavering loyalty to both Xu Cheng and the lineage of Qian Zhong.

The Thousand Blossom Pavilion was naturally overjoyed over the addition of such formidable individuals into their ranks, a sentiment that was particularly fervent among the Pavilion Master.

With the addition of these influential cultivators, the Thousand Blossom Pavilion had substantially augmented its collective strength, propelling it to ascend as one of the most powerful Rank 6 Organizations affiliated with the Twin Snake Clan.

Tang Yin was also feeling blissful. The realization that all of his intended targets were now conveniently assembled in one location filled him with immense satisfaction. This fortuitous turn of events spared him the arduous task of traversing various Regions in search of each individual target.

Qiu Yinzi was another individual on Tang Yin’s list of targets. However, given that she was the daughter of the Pavilion Master of the Thousand Blossom Pavilion, it was only natural for her to accompany Xu Yun back to the Thousand Blossom Pavilion from the Moonlit River Sect.

Tang Yin had pretty much gathered all the information he required.

Therefore, he proceeded to delve into several recent occurrences within the Moon Gazing Region and the surrounding Regions. He also touched upon a handful of unrelated subjects that held lesser significance to him.

After another hour of talking, Tang Yin expressed his gratitude to Hang Chenhao for the informative exchange. He then bade farewell to the latter before departing from the Fleeting Moon Sect.

Hang Chenhao’s gaze remained fixed on Tang Yin’s receding figure until it vanished beyond the horizon, leaving behind a fleeting trail of black light.

He then released a sigh, a sense of relief washing over him, and proceeded to meticulously examine the contents of the storage ring Tang Yin had presented to him earlier.
