Chapter 298: Moonlit River Sect and Moon Pavillion

2 weeks passed silently.

The Frost Wyrm had already left.

Tang Yin was not the only Principle Step cultivator in the world. There were many others. Upon eating the Principle Step cultivators and Rank 7 Demonic Beasts in the surrounding Regions, the Frost Wyrm had its fill. It could not be bothered to continue searching for Tang Yin, only to be disappointed with no results.

Tang Yin did not immediately leave though. The Frost Wyrm could be concealing itself nearby to lure him out. As a result, he continued to hide in the Abyss Firmament for a few days before steeling his heart and leaving.

As soon as Tang Yin left the Abyss Firmament, he spread out his divine sense and activated the Heaven Piercing Gaze. Fortunately, the Frost Wyrm had truly left and was not lingering nearby to ambush him.

Before leaving the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin had activated the Abyss Emperor Transformation again. He would be able to respond quickly enough in the case that the Frost Wyrm had not left.

After letting out a soft sigh, Tang Yin deactivated the Abyss Emperor Transformation, but he still continued to survey his surroundings. He could not afford to be careless, he was dealing with a Rank 8 Demonic Beast after all.

There was still a week and 5 days left till the deadline to reach the Moonlit River Sect. Tang Yin could make it in time as long as he moved at full speed.

This was exactly what Tang Yin did. He moved at full speed whilst concealing his presence. He made sure to avoid all Principle Step beings, humans and Demonic Beasts alike.

After the ordeal with the Frost Wyrm, Tang Yin became even more cautious than last time. He made sure not to spread out his divine sense to a radius larger than 100 kilometres around him.

The Moon Gazing Region was only 4 Regions away. With his extreme vigilance, Tang Yin encountered no more obstacles or difficulties during the remainder of the journey.

Once Tang Yin arrived in the Moon Gazing Region, he was left in awe and wonder.

The Moon Gazing Region stretched far and wide, encompassing rolling hills, dense forests, and meandering rivers that glittered in the moonlit sky. The land seemed to glow with a soft, silver hue, casting an otherworldly ambience over the entire expanse. freёwebnovel.com

The air was charged with a serene and enigmatic air, carrying the essence of the moon’s influence throughout the Region.

The reason why the Moon Gazing Region was so famous and renowned throughout the Bright Yang Continent was due to 2 reasons.

The first reason was Qian Zhong. He was an Early-stage Law Domain Realm cultivator, and also the ancestor of the Moonlit River Sect. His constant presence in the Moon Gazing Region automatically made the Region famous and prosperous.

The second reason was the special type of Qi only present in Regions such as the Moon Gazing Region.

This special Qi was known as Moon Qi. Moon Qi was a unique and potent form of Qi generated from the moon’s intense radiance. Moon Qi was said to carry special properties such as serenity, peace, mystery and spiritual illumination.

Moon Qi was also said to have a purifying and refining nature, assisting cultivators in harmonizing their energy, deepening the foundation of their cultivation bases and in some cases even furthering cultivation levels.

During the lunar phases, the Moon Qi in the atmosphere would temporarily transform into a more potent version of itself known as Lunar Qi. Cultivators would usually use these specific lunar phases to cultivate their lunar techniques and increase their cultivation bases by utilizing the Lunar Qi.

The Moonlit River Sect was located at the heart of the Moon Gazing Region.

Tang Yin swiftly made his way there. However, during the quick travel there, he sensed many Rank 7 Demonic Beasts. The quantity was the most Tang Yin had ever seen other than in the Emerald Beast Region.

Fortunately, there were no Rank 8 Demonic Beasts in the Moon Gazing Region. After all, someone of Qian Zhong’s stature would never allow such powerful Demonic Beasts to roam around in his territory.

Once Tang Yin arrived outside the Moonlit River Sect, he was greeted with a majestic sight which only made his awe even more pronounced.

A grand and intricately designed sect compound, it exuded an aura of mystique and power. The walls of the sect were adorned with moonstone carvings, depicting celestial creatures and lunar formations. The disciples of the Moonlit River Sect were numerous, they wandered around in groups carelessly as if nothing could harm them.

Flowing through the Moonlit River Sect was the infamous Moonlit River. The Moonlit River gracefully winded its way, shimmering like liquid moonlight. The river possessed the essence of Moon Qi within its ethereal currents. Only disciples who had contributed heavily to the Moonlit River Sect were allowed to cultivate near the Moonlit River.

The Moonlit River Sect’s disciples were known for their mastery of lunar techniques and skills. They had honed the ability to harness Moon Qi over countless generations and channelled it to enhance their lunar Martial Skills.

Within the sect’s headquarters, the magnificent and renowned Moon Pavilion stood tall. Constructed with shimmering moonstone pillars and an intricate roof resembling lunar phases, the Moon Pavilion served as the sacred symbol of the Moonlit River Sect.

Before Tang Yin could take in all of the sights, he was approached by one of the disciples near the Moonlit River Sect’s Sect Protection Formation.

The disciple was a young man wearing white robes imprinted with the Moonlit River Sect’s insignia. He had long black hair tied back into a ponytail, and he was somewhat handsome. His cultivation base was at the Early-stage of the Principle Comprehension Realm.

The young man bowed to Tang Yin before speaking, "Greetings Senior. This one is Lou Bin. I have been tasked with bringing Senior to the Moon Pavilion."

"How do you know I’m here due to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance’s mission and am not some visitor." Tang Yin asked with scepticism.

"The Moonlit River Sect’s Sect Protection Formation enabled me to sense Senior’s huge cultivation base. And Elder Peng has tasked me with receiving Senior." Lou Bin replied honestly.

Tang Yin nodded. He didn’t really care, he was just curious.

"This way Senior." Lou Bin gestured for Tang Yin to follow him, and Tang Yin nodded once again.

Lou Bin first took Tang Yin through the Sect Protection Formation, they then travelled towards the Moon Pavilion.

Past the Sect Protection Formation were the training grounds of the Moonlit River Sect. Tang Yin could see hundreds of dedicated disciples lost in training in their Martial Skills and other techniques.

Behind the training grounds were 7 huge peaks. There were countless cultivation abodes and imposing palaces in each of the 7 peaks, representing the meditation chambers of the disciples of each peak.

"The 7 Elders of the Moonlit River Sect reside in their respective peaks..." Lou Bin introduced the 7 peaks to Tang Yin. He even talked about which Elders stayed in which peak, and similar stuff like that.

After the 7 peaks was a normal valley. However, there were 2 huge buildings located inside the valley, which caught Tang Yin’s attention.

Seeing Tang Yin’s curious gaze, Lou Bin pointed to one of the buildings and said, "That is the Library of Lunar Wisdom. The Moonlit River Sect keeps their Martial Skills, Training Manuals and loads of other information and knowledge stashed away there."

"The other building is the Astral Observatory. Some of our special disciples study and interpret the movement of the moon and stars through some of the expensive equipment in the Astral Observatory." Lou Bin continued to talk about the Library of Lunar Wisdom and the Astral Observatory for a brief moment.

Tang Yin was intrigued. Even with the huge amount of sects and organizations he had seen and exterminated, only very few of them possessed such a special department as the Astral Observatory.

Finally, after a bit more travelling, Lou Bin and Tang Yin arrived at the Moon Pavilion. The Moon Pavilion was quite large. Tang Yin could even see it from outside the Moonlit River Sect.

Tang Yin and Lou Bin arrived before the Moon Pavilion’s entrance. Lou Bin respectfully took out a token from his storage ring and displayed it before the Moon Pavilion. The next moment, the huge doors of the Moon Pavilion opened on their own.

Lou Bin walked into the Pavilion and Tang Yin followed him.

The interior of the Moon Pavilion was a sight to behold. It was a sanctuary of serenity and tranquillity, where every detail of the homage paid detail to the moon’s brilliance.

Moonlight filtered through the stained-glass windows, casting mesmerizing patterns on the polished marble floors. Delicate tapestries depicting celestial scenes adorned the walls, capturing the essence of the moon’s enchantment.

Lou Bin led Tang Yin towards the core of the Moon Pavilion. After taking many twists and turns, the duo finally arrived at the centre of the pavilion.

At the centre of the Moon Pavilion stood 3 people, a young woman and 2 middle-aged men. All of their gazes instantly trained on Tang Yin as soon as he arrived.
