Chapter 173: Ethereal Slaughter Art and Divine Spirit Skills
"Master, where are we going now?" Xiao Fei asked curiously from Tang Yin’s shoulder.
The original plan was to go to Sea Star City. But things had deviated since Tang Yin had been swept into the Tides of Chaos.
"For now, let’s go to a secluded island and sort everything out and make a plan." Tang Yin replied after pondering for a quick second.
Tang Yin was a Qi Transformation Realm cultivator. He could fly now. He had already manifested his wings when he appeared above the sea.
He flew high into the sky and scouted for an island. He was flying at a fast pace through the sky, it did not take long for him to find an island.
The island was not particularly large, there was an abundant amount of Qi on the island. Using the Heaven Piercing Gaze, Tang Yin could see that it was inhabited by a Rank 2 Organization.
"Master, shall I burn it?" Xiao Fei asked as a murderous glint flashed in her eyes.
"I do not need Qi anymore, there is no need. Of course, if they decide to provoke me, then you can do as you wish." Tang Yin thought for a moment. He needed the Spirit Flames of Qi Transformation Realm cultivators.
Devouring Qi, cultivators and resources would not really have any effect unless he was injured or needed life force.
Tang Yin carved out a cave on a cliff which was around the shores of the island. He was going to be staying there for a few days. It did not need to be big.
Once the cave was carved out, Tang Yin sat down at the centre and brought out the 3 jade tokens containing Tian Huang’s knowledge and skills. He shifted through them at a slow pace, he did not want to miss anything.
The first jade token contained all of Tian Huang’s skills and techniques which he had either created or chanced upon in his life. There were plenty listed inside the jade token.
Excitement appeared on Tang Yin’s face, he found a skill which suited him.
The skill was called Ethereal Slaughter Art. It was a Tier 4 Martial Skill!
Tian Huang had mentioned that there would be a skill in his inheritance which could allow him to control and effectively use his Killing Intent. This was the skill he was talking about.
The Ethereal Slaughter Art had 3 layers.
The first layer described a process by which Tang Yin could refine his Killing Intent and have complete control over it. With complete control, he could do as he wished with his Killing Intent. The only downside was that he would need to refine every new piece of Killing Intent he gathered.
The second layer of the Ethereal Slaughter Art depicted a way in which Tang Yin could gain control of Killing Principles. The Killing Principles he gained control over would be much stronger than any skill cast with Qi or Spirit Qi. There was a detailed explanation of this. However, Tang Yin did not quite understand it at the moment. He did not even know what Principles were. freeweɓnøvel.com
The third layer was the last layer. It mentioned that Tang Yin could use the Killing Principles to form a Law Domain. The process to create the domain was listed with intricate detail. Tang Yin did not linger on this though, he would focus on it when he reached that step.
He needed to focus on the first layer of the Ethereal Slaughter Art. This was where he could benefit from the skill at the moment.
Other than the Ethereal Slaughter Art, Tang Yin also saw many other similar skills. Some suited him and some did not. He made sure to take note of every skill which suited him. He would come back to it later.
Once Tang Yin was nearing the end of the jade token, he paused.
’Divine Spirit Skills!’ Tang Yin’s mind was in turmoil. There was a clear description of what Divine Spirit Skills were and there were even 2 Divine Spirit Skills listed within the jade token for Tang Yin.
According to Tian Huang’s description of Divine Spirit Skills, they were basically enhanced versions of Martial Skills. But it was not that simple.
Martial Skills mainly required cultivators to use Qi and Spirit Qi. On the other hand, Divine Spirit Skills required Principles to be used. The strength of Divine Spirit Skills was almost a hundred times more powerful than Martial Skills.
The number of Principles a cultivator could control would reflect the strength of the Divine Spirit Skill they used.
It was also clearly explained that Divine Spirit Skills were split into 5 tiers. From lowest to highest, they were: White-tier, Yellow-tier, Pink-tier, Black-tier and Red-tier.
Divine Spirit Skills were very rare even among Principle Step cultivators. They would normally be used as trump cards and a last resort.
Tang Yin made sure to memorize everything he could about the 2 Divine Spirit Skills listed in the jade token.
Moving on, after the Martial Skills and Divine Spirit Skills, there were a bunch of Training Manuals of various tiers. Tian Huang had left a message inside the jade.
’My successor, I do not know which Training Manual suits you. Therefore, I have left many which you can choose from. Don’t choose blindly, make sure it suits your cultivation path.’
Tang Yin felt a bit of sadness, even after he was gone, Tian Huang had still left his guidance in the jade token. He was truly a man of honour no matter what heinous deeds he had committed in the past to earn the title of Flowing Blood Demon.
