Chapter 113: It’s Not My Fault
Tang Yin spent a very long time looking for anything amiss or strange in his body, Martial Spirit, storage ring, and even Xiao Fei. Under her perplexed and blushing gaze, he used the Heaven Piercing Gaze to examine her from head to toe. Still, he found nothing wrong.
With doubt and askance, Tang Yin sat back down. He brought out another Gambling Stone from his storage ring. Using the same method, he dissected the Gambling Stone. He had gotten quicker at opening Gambling Stones due to experiencing it multiple times already.
What appeared from the Gambling Stone this time was a small piece of metal. The metal was very rusty and looked like a fragmented piece from a larger metal object. He could not make out which item it had been fragmented from.
Tang Yin handed it to Xiao Fei for cleansing. She was not interested in the broken-looking metal piece, so she did not ask for it. She only had 9 picks remaining after all.
As soon as the piece of rusty, damaged metal was enveloped in Xiao Fei’s Everlasting Hell Flames, it disintegrated. Xiao Fei panicked, she hurriedly tried to explain, "It’s not my fault, I- ".
"I know." Tang Yin calmly said with a sigh. "What? Really?" Xiao Fei asked bewilderedly. She was afraid of Tang Yin blaming the disintegration of the piece of metal on her and taking away one of her 9 picks.
"Most Gambling Stones do not contain treasures. Even if they do, there is a high chance of the treasure turning to dust and scattering due to sustaining too much damage or being fossilized for too long." Tang Yin explained to erase Xiao Fei’s doubts.
"That hairpin you chose as one of your picks did not turn to dust and scatter. Therefore, it must be an extraordinary treasure." Tang Yin expressed to Xiao Fei. However, no matter how he looked at the phoenix hairpin, it looked like a normal mortal accessory.
Tang Yin knew very well that he was lucky to have the first 3 treasures he dissected from the Gambling Stones not scatter into dust as soon as he unveiled them.
....
A week trickled by quickly.
Tang Yin and Xiao Fei were still sitting together in the cave. Tang Yin had dissected 40% of the Gambling Stones in his storage ring, the results left him sighing constantly.
Of all the Gambling Stones he had dissected, only 12 contained treasures which did not turn to dust and scatter. This included the first 3 Gambling Stones.
Tang Yin only kept 2 of the treasures. They were the stone engraved with a Teleportation Formation and the eyeball which he had devoured. The rest of the treasures were taken by Xiao Fei.
Tang Yin did not resent Xiao Fei for using all of her 10 picks on any treasures which appeared, he understood why she did this.
Xiao Fei was afraid of there not being enough treasures. She wanted to use up all of her picks and get 10 guaranteed treasures instead of being picky and not being able to choose enough due to a lack of treasures.
Tang Yin brought out a dark red Gambling Stone, inside was a ring-looking object. He could see this with the Heaven Piercing Gaze. However, he did not care, it would most likely turn into dust like the large majority of the other treasures he had held hope for. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Tang Yin instantly finished dissecting the Gambling Stone. During the past week, his proficiency in opening Gambling Stones had reached such a high level, he could open a Gambling Stone within a few breaths.
He handed the old rusty ring to Xiao Fei after dissecting it from the Gambling Stone. She used the Everlasting Hell Flames nonchalantly, expecting the ring to turn into dust as soon as it contacted the flames.
However, to the duo’s surprise, the ring came out perfectly fine after the cleansing. It did not turn to dust!
Tang Yin took the ring out of Xiao Fei’s hands, he inspected it with great excitement. Xiao Fei could not take the treasure this time, she had already fulfilled her pick of 10 treasures.
From Tang Yin’s observation, he concluded that the ring was a storage ring! He immediately sent his will into the storage ring to inspect its contents, he found... nothing. Tang Yin was stunned, after a moment of thought, a bitter smile crept onto his face.
It had been way too long for anything to still exist within the ring. Like the majority of the treasures from the Gambling Stones, anything which used to be stored in the storage ring had already turned to dust and scattered.
On the other hand, the storage ring was not a complete waste. Tang Yin could not see the end of the space within the storage ring. It seemed to have an almost infinite amount of space. Its quality was also thousands of times better compared to his current Navy Mountain Ring.
The ring was not flashy, it looked like any normal type of storage ring a cultivator would possess. The only difference was the storage space within.
After checking for any problems and testing the stability of the dimension within the storage ring, Tang Yin transferred all of his items into the storage ring. This was his new storage ring, he would not need to replace his storage ring ever again unless he found an even better one.
