Yue Yue’s mind went completely blank as she stared at Han Soi before her, her thoughts messy and confused, unable to understand where this sudden proposal came from or when he started looking at her this way.
She felt shocked and bewildered, asking herself silently when everything changed, why she never noticed his feelings before, and why her chest felt so tight just looking at his serious and sincere expression.
She was not disgusted or afraid at all; instead, her heart fluttered wildly, beating so fast it felt like it might jump out, and a strange warmth spread through her body as she looked at the handsome beast man kneeling in front of her.
Her stomach felt strange, light and heavy at the same time, like tiny wings fluttering inside, and she wondered in confusion if this feeling was what people called love, or attraction, or something even deeper.
Before she could sort out her thoughts or give herself an answer, Han Soi had already taken her hand, his fingers warm and firm, and slipped the ring onto her finger as if he feared she might disappear.
Then he slowly leaned down and kissed her; it was deep and sudden, and instead of pushing him away, Yue Yue instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back with equal intensity.
She liked the feeling of his body pressing against her small frame, liked how safe and overwhelming his presence felt, and liked how his arms wrapped tightly around her waist as if claiming her.
His kiss was dominant and intense, his tongue moving inside her mouth without hesitation, making her breath grow uneven as heat spread through her body, her knees almost giving way.
Yue Yue’s mind stopped resisting as she focused only on the sensation, the warmth, the closeness, and the way her heart raced every time he pulled her closer.
By the time the kiss slowly ended and she finally caught her breath, Yue Yue realized one clear thing through all the confusion and chaos in her heart.
She was attracted to him.
Yue Yue stayed quiet for a moment after the kiss, then looked at Han Soi seriously, her fingers still holding onto his clothes as she asked softly, "If you really become my beast husband, do you know you can never back off?"
She narrowed her eyes slightly, trying to look threatening despite her flushed face, and added honestly, "I am very possessive; if you belong to me, you will only be mine."
Han Soi froze for a second, then chuckled deeply, his laughter warm and genuine, before he lifted her hand and kissed her fingers one by one with gentle devotion.
Looking into her eyes with pure affection, he said slowly, "From the day I first saw you lying on top of me...I knew you had already become mine, and I was already yours."
He leaned closer, his forehead touching hers, and whispered sincerely, "So please don’t abandon me, my dear female, because I don’t think I can survive without you anymore."
Yue Yue’s heart trembled at his words, but before she could respond, his expression turned serious and possessive as he continued, "I am willing to go any length for you, cross any boundary, break any rule."
His grip on her waist tightened as he said firmly, "Even if you leave this place, even if you travel to another world entirely, I will follow you without hesitation."
Hearing that, Yue Yue completely lost control of herself, her chest filling with emotion as she grabbed his collar and kissed him again without warning.
This time, neither of them held back, their kiss deep and possessive, bodies pressed tightly together as if they wanted to melt into each other.
Han Soi’s arms wrapped around her firmly, lifting her slightly, while Yue Yue clung to him just as tightly, responding to his kiss with equal hunger and attachment.

Yue Yue sat quietly in the back seat of the advanced hover car marked with the Duke Crescent insignia, watching the city lights slide past the transparent shield, her mind strangely calm yet tangled, because everything that happened earlier still felt unreal.
She honestly did not like how suddenly the whole manor and proposal situation happened, but she knew she should not be surprised, because beastmen were the same everywhere, in every world; once they liked a female, they chased her until she accepted.
Still, her heart fluttered uncontrollably, because back in her old world no man ever dared to propose to her, as her brothers and father protected her so fiercely that no male even came close.
Thinking about Han Soi made her lips curve upward, and although she was reluctant at first about the mating system, afraid of being unwanted, now that he proposed willingly, she felt giddy and giggled softly like someone slightly unhinged.
Touching her lips, she almost wanted to fly.
The man sitting in the front seat, Mu Jian, glanced at her through the reflection panel, his lips twitching helplessly as he muttered, "She’s really smiling like she lost her mind," while the robotic maid beside him pretended not to hear.
Mu Jian felt honored escorting her back, because the Duke was busy with urgent matters, and knowing she might soon become the Duchess made him sit straighter, silently vowing to protect her with his life.
Everything felt peaceful until suddenly Mu Jian’s pupils shrank sharply, and he barked, "Protect the young lady!" as the robotic maid instantly entered alarm mode, shields snapping into place.
The hover car jolted violently in midair, the sky twisting as if space itself shook, and Yue Yue screamed, "What is happening?!" gripping the seat as the car nearly flipped.
"We are under attack," Mu Jian shouted grimly, scanning the radar, his voice turning cold as he added, "And it’s the Duke’s family," disbelief flashing across his face.
Another violent impact slammed into them as a royal-grade military ship rammed their hover car, making Mu Jian curse loudly, "Have they gone insane attacking the Duke’s vehicle in daylight?"
"Prepare emergency landing!" Mu Jian ordered as sparks filled the cabin, and the robotic maid immediately activated a protective seal around Yue Yue and herself.
Before Yue Yue could scream again, the floor vanished beneath them, and they dropped from the burning hovercar, Yue Yue yelling in panic, "Where are we falling?!" while the maid reassured her calmly.

Midair, Mu Jian transformed instantly into a massive hawk beast, catching both of them securely and landing hard on a building platform, shouting, "Hide with Lulu, young lady, don’t panic... everything will be fine!"

Her eyes widened as another black serpent appeared with smaller wings and a weaker aura, yet similar enough that Yue Yue whispered in shock, "He looks like Han Soi... Is he from the same clan?"
Above the city, sci-fi energy shields shattered as the hawk and black-winged serpent clashed violently, metal ships hovering and firing around them, turning the clear sky into a battlefield.
Yue Yue watched the midair fight, fear and awe mixing in her chest, realizing this world was far more dangerous than she imagined, and wondering why Han Soi’s family would attack so openly.
