Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Danger Level Higher Than the Battlefield
Mu Jian had barely stepped onto the descending platform when he sensed danger.
Not the kind that threatened his life, but more his mind, and he really wanted to get away from here before these big brained men caught him.
The moment the Sky Veil Ascender reached the mid level corridor, several figures appeared out of nowhere and surrounded him in a perfect circle.
Mu Jian stopped. Slowly, he lifted his eyes.
Bao Tie stood directly in front of him with crossed arms, his scarred jaw twitching with excitement. Ke Hong leaned in far too close, his sharp red horns gleaming under the lights.
Ru Jing appeared behind Mu Ran without making a sound, which was honestly terrifying. Tong Yu stood to the side, ears trembling slightly as he tried very hard to look casual.
These four men were the pillars of the Black Fang Command Tower, the S level orcs with terrifying abilities. But in his mind, they were all muscles with no brain.
Their ranks were just lower than his and the Duke’s, because apparently his sharp mind had earned him a place just beside the Duke. But still, even though he looked down on these big guys, he could not ignore them at all.
After all, they were all brothers whom he grew up with on an isolated planet.
"Commander," Bao Tie said in a very serious tone, "we need to ask something."
Mu Ran’s eyelid twitched. "Move."
"Who is she?" Ke Hong asked immediately.
"Yeah," Tong Yu added quickly. "That female."
Ru Jing spoke softly, "The one who came down from the Duke’s hover car."
Mu Jian’s face darkened. "That is classified."
The four orcs exchanged looks.
Then Bao Tie leaned closer. "Is she the Duke’s sister?"
"Or his female?" Ke Hong blurted out.
This time, Mu Jian’s eye twitched violently.
"This information," Ru Jing said calmly, "is extremely important."
"Very important," Tong Yu nodded hard.
Bao Tie cleared his throat. "Because if she is the Duke’s female, then we should immediately apply for long distance missions."
"Very far ones," Ke Hong added. "And dangerous ones."
"With high mortality rates," Ru Jing finished.
Tong Yu raised his hand. "I volunteer first."
Mu Ran stared at them in silence.
Then Ke Hong straightened suddenly. "But if she is the Duke’s sister..."
Everyone leaned in at once.
"Then we can go to the Federation Marriage Office and officially apply to become her beast husband."
"Yes!" Bao Tie said excitedly. "I have twelve battle medals from the Emperor!"
"I have ten," Ke Hong said proudly. "And my horns are symmetrical."
"I don’t talk much," Ru Jing said calmly. "Some females like that."
"I can cook!" Tong Yu shouted. "And I have savings that can make her rich."
The hallway fell into a strange silence.
Mu Jian slowly lifted his hand and pressed his fingers against his temple.
His patience was reaching its limit.
"Listen carefully," he said coldly. "If you value your lives, forget what you saw today."
The four orcs froze.
"Forget her face."
Freeze.
"Forget her existence."
Their faces turned pale.
"And forget all thoughts about beast husband applications," Mu Jian finished. "Unless you want the Duke to personally test your bone density."
The temperature in the hallway dropped instantly.
Bao Tie swallowed hard. "So... Duke’s female?"
Mu Jian gave him a look.
Bao Tie immediately saluted. "Understood! I will apply for the most dangerous mission available!"
Ke Hong saluted too. "Same here!"
Tong Yu wiped imaginary tears. "My dreams are dead... The Duke is the first one to get a female while we are still single."
Ru Jing simply nodded. "Wise choice."
As Mu Jian walked away, the group slowly dispersed, their earlier excitement completely gone. They could only look at him with dejected expressions.
Ahh! They got excited too early, thinking that finally they would have a female, but alas, the stoic Duke seemed even a step ahead of them.

On the top floor, Yue Yue did not even give Han Soi a chance to speak.
She grabbed his hand and dragged him straight inside. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"Look! I brought you something!"
Han Soi was still reacting to being pulled when Yue Yue proudly pointed at the object in her hands.
A self heating lunch box.
"I cooked it myself for you," she said happily.
Han Soi’s soul almost left his body.
...Cooked by herself? His pupils shrank.
Why did she cook? Where did the maid go? Why was the maid not here?
A strange, faint glow flickered above his head.
12%.
Then 13%.
Yue Yue realized the villain mode above his head was again fluctuating, and she became nervous.
His face darkened instantly. "Why did you..."
Yue Yue noticed the change at once. Her heart skipped.
Uh oh.
She tightened her grip on his hand before he could finish and said quickly, "Because I wanted you to eat my cooking! You know I am very good at cooking!"
She nodded seriously, praising herself without any shame.
Before Han Soi could say another word, she dragged him inside again and pushed him toward the table.
"Sit. Try it."
Han Soi froze. He looked at her.
Her eyes were bright, full of expectation. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, clearly excited. She looked like a little animal waiting for praise.
The glow above his head flickered, then slowly dropped. Han Soi felt something warm spread in his chest.
His anger disappeared just like that. He sat down obediently.
Yue Yue smiled.
But inside her mind... Eat it. Eat it fast. Please eat it soon. I want my polluted meat.
Her smile started to stiffen slightly from smiling too much, but she forced herself to maintain her gentle, lady like image.
She even leaned closer and spoke sweetly, "I made it especially for you. I even adjusted the taste. It is very tasty."
Han Soi’s ears turned red. His chest felt tight.
He looked at the lunch box like it was a dangerous weapon.
Yue Yue noticed he was moving too slowly. Way too slowly.
Her inner scream grew louder.
Why is he staring at it like it is going to explode?!
Finally, she could not take it anymore.
She reached out, opened the lunch box herself, scooped up a spoonful, and held it right in front of his mouth.
"Here," she said softly, eyes sparkling. "I will feed you."
Han Soi’s brain completely shut down. He could not believe she wanted to feed him. His ears became even redder.
He opened his mouth without thinking.
The food went in.
Yue Yue leaned closer, watching his reaction carefully, her eyes shining like stars.
"Well?" she asked eagerly. "How is it?"
Han Soi swallowed, then froze. It was good. Really good. He had never eaten something like this.
His eyes softened instantly. "It is delicious," he said honestly.
Yue Yue almost cried. Inside her mind, she cheered wildly.
YES. SUCCESS.
She quickly withdrew the spoon and smiled calmly again, pretending nothing happened.
"I am glad you like it," she said politely.
Han Soi looked at her like she was glowing.
He reached out and pulled her closer, his voice low and warm.
"Next time," he said, "don’t cook yourself."
Yue Yue stiffened for a second. Then she nodded obediently. "Okay."
Inside her heart, she added silently... Sure. As long as you eat it.
