Cang Yuze stood at the edge of the dark cave. He held a glowing lure in his hand. The light glowed slowly. It was designed to mimic the heartbeat of a weak prey.
His men stood behind him in a circle. They held high-power pulse rifles. Their faces were pale under their glass helmets. They knew the danger of this trench was very high.
"Steady," Cang Yuze whispered into his transmitter. "Wait for the vibrations. Do not fire until I give the command." He watched the dark hole carefully. He did not move.

The King Scorpion hissed loudly. The sound vibrated through the water. It’s greedy eyes look at the strange floating thing in front of him.
But he didn’t pay them any mind; he wanted the small glowing thing in Cang Yuze’s hand.
Suddenly, hundreds of small scorpions crawled out. They were the size of dogs. They moved like a fast wave.
"Fire!" Cang Yuze commanded. He drew his silver blade, which was one of the most ancient artifact given by his father. It had the ability to control the sea.
The guards began to shoot blue pulses of energy. The small scorpions exploded into green mist when they were hit.
Cang Yuze jumped forward with great speed. He aimed for the King Scorpion’s joints. He needed to weaken it to get the poison. The monster swung its massive claw.
Cang Yuze flipped through the water. He narrowly missed the heavy blow. The claw hit a large rock instead. The rock shattered into tiny pieces. The power was truly terrifying.
"Circle around it!" Cang Yuze shouted to his men. "Distract its eyes! I need an opening to reach the stinger!" The guards moved quickly, firing at the beast’s head.
The King Scorpion was angry. It snapped its claws at the guards. It ignored the small stings of the pulse rifles. Its primary focus was on the man who held the small glowing energy before it.
Cang Yuze found his chance. He lunged toward the tail. His blade glowed with blue energy. He was ready to strike the venom gland. He was almost certain he could get it.
But then, the ground shook even harder. A second hiss echoed through the trench. It was louder and deeper than the first one.
Everyone froze in absolute shock.
A second King Scorpion crawled out from a hidden crevice. It was even larger than the first one. Its armor was deep red. It looked even more mutated and fierce.
Cang Yuze’s expression fell instantly. His heart skipped a beat. Handling one SS-rank beast was possible. But fighting two of them at once was a death sentence for everyone.
"Two?" a guard screamed in terror. "How can there be two Kings in one nest? This is impossible!" The men began to retreat in total panic and fear.
The two monsters looked at each other. Then they both looked at Cang Yuze. They moved together with perfect coordination. They were acting like a team of deadly hunters.
The first scorpion blocked his path. The second one raised its glowing stinger high.
Cang Yuze felt a cold sweat on his neck. He was trapped by the two king scorpions.
"Protect the Prince!" the lead guard yelled.
But the small scorpions were swarming them. The guards were being pushed back. They could not reach their leader in time.
Cang Yuze gripped his sword tightly. He looked at the two stingers aimed at his heart. He thought of Yue Yue’s smile. He realized he might never see her again if even a small mistake were made.
The red scorpion lunged forward with incredible speed. Its stinger moved like a flash of lightning. Cang Yuze raised his blade to block. But he knew he was too slow.
The darkness of the trench felt like it was closing in. The situation was hopeless. He was alone against two monsters.
Cang Yuze was fighting very hard to defend himself.
Now he did not want to kill the beasts, and neither did he want to engage with them in battle. He only wanted their deadly poison. He needed it to save Xing Luoye for Yue Yue.
He moved quickly through the dark water.
