Yue Yue jumped, her nerves snapping back to attention. The door to the bath opened, and Xing Luoguang stepped out. He hadn’t even dressed; he only had a white towel wrapped loosely around his waist. His muscular chest was bare, and water droplets were still dripping from his damp hair, sliding down his skin.
"Someone is looking for you," Yue Yue stammered, looking away from his naked torso. "They said it’s your brother."
Xing Luoguang’s brow furrowed. He didn’t seem bothered by his lack of clothes at all. He strode across the room and opened the door just a crack. He had a short, low-voiced conversation with the guard outside while Yue Yue waited anxiously on the bed.
When he closed the door and turned back, his expression was serious, but he forced a smile for her.
"I have to go for a moment," he said. "Luoye needs me for a strategy meeting. I will be back shortly."
He walked over and kissed her cheek, his skin still smelling of fresh water and soap.
"Until then, my bride can explore the room or just sleep in this big bed all by herself. Don’t wait up if you’re tired."

The room was silent, and the time was already inching toward midnight. Just as she shifted to the other side, she heard the soft click of the door opening once more.
The mattress dipped behind her as a heavy weight settled on the bed.
Before she could turn around, a warm, powerful hand slid around her waist and pulled her firmly against a broad, solid chest.
A shy smile touched her lips. "Luoguang? Are you back?" she whispered into the darkness.

The man behind her hummed a deep, vibrating response.
He leaned in, his breath hot against her skin, and began to kiss her earlobe tenderly. He brushed her long pastel hair away from her neck, his lips trailing fire along her skin.

Yue Yue giggled softly, feeling the intensity of his touch. "You’re so impatient," she teased.
"Were you not impatient too?" He replied, his voice dropping into a dangerously deep tone, making Yue Yue’s toes curl.
