This guy, the moment that he appeared in the hallway, he obviously noticed Michael and Kate, who were looking back at him. He seemed surprised for a moment, especially at their reaction.
Still, his expression returned to indifference, as he gazed at the two people in front of him.
Michael also took this chance to scrutinize the person in front of him. Just by looking at him, Michael could tell that this person was an expert. Additionally, he had killed, and not a few people.
"I have a habit of introducing myself to those that I have my eyes on. My name is Jackson. Today, I was sent here with a single task, to kill you." Jackson spoke in a raspy voice.
Initially, Kate was preparing to attack. But when Jackson began speaking, she held back, wanting to understand if this guy was here with ill intentions or not.
But the moment that she heard that he was here to kill, though not sure about who his target was, because he was looking at both of them, she felt anger flaring up in her heart.
This feeling, she could not explain it. But, every time that someone threatened Michael, she felt this unnamed anger erupting inside her.
Since he was here to kill, then there was nothing else to talk about. Additionally, this time, Kate, knowing that this was a mutant, had no any intention of holding back.
The moment that she made the decision, her left foot stomped hard on the ground, cracks appearing on the tile below her foot, as she launched herself towards Jackson.
