Chapter 6: The Naughty Guardian sword training
Just as the sun emerged at the horizon, its shallow lights slowly ushering the night away.
Finn had made his move.
Leaving his room with his sword—Estes in his grasp.
Apparently when she had fallen asleep her form had reverted back to the rusted sword.
Finn had grown calmer after that. With her being a sword, the dirty ideas he got from staring at the beautiful woman lying in his bed dialed down a bit...
The same went for the little man within his trousers.
Still, he was not able to get any sleep. Either it was the excitement of being told he was more useful than he could imagine, or the fear that if he shut his eyes the alluring horned lady would surprise him in a bad way... Finn had no idea.
To avoid the overwhelming feeling of his constant anxiety murdering him, he hurried at his best pace out of the house, making little to no noise that might alert his mother.
Immediately after stepping outside, he stared at the pathway that led forward for a distance before connecting to the lively city.
He lingered for a moment before turning away from the path.
Then he moved, walking at a slow pace through the vast fields around his house.
"Your house is located so far out of town, why?"
Estes spoke, the rusted sword which Finn had fitted into a scabbard vibrating softly at her voice.
"It’s my father’s land, so we have little to no choice there," Finn answered bluntly.
Estes sighed. "Your father’s land?"
"It would be considered wealth and a very great place to live, if not for how close it is to the Corrupted Forest."
Finn’s fists tensed for a moment before releasing themselves in defeat, his gaze lifting from the hilt of the ancient sword and onto the distant bizarre figures in the distance.
Hundreds of meters off were large trees the size of mountains, grotesque, bent, darkened and burnt like they were monsters themselves. Their leaves were grey, sizzling black that Finn could see even from where he stood.
There weren’t just one of these terrifying trees but hundreds, maybe even thousands, lined closely to one another to form a large wall that stretched as far east as Finn could see, and as far west.
But that wasn’t all...
The wall of Fiendish trees, was so corrupted Finn felt his skin crawl and his throat grow dry, as his body screamed for him to run the other way and never come back to.
At the sight of it, Finn stopped.
This was the border that had been created centuries ago by the strongest Mage of that time.
The bizarre tree wall was what kept the corrupted from breaching in and slaughtering the rest of what remained of humanity.
Finn had heard stories of what the Corrupted past the Barrier could do and how dangerous they were.
A few years ago a man had gone right past the Barrier, his reasons not clear from the rumors Finn had heard.
But that man had gone to try and relate with the corrupted, his reasoning being that humans had tamed lions at one point of history so it could happen again...
Unfortunately his body was recovered, and not in a way anyone could imagine a human dying.
That was the reason why no one dared build a house so closely to the Barrier.
Despite no monsters ever breaching through.
Nobody wanted to take the risk of getting their intestines gutted from their buttholes.
So with that, Finn stopped here, pulling the sword from its sheath with a simple draw and then placing it on the fields before him.
"We can train here," he said.
The sword throbbed at his words, smoke arising from it just as before, then forming Estes’ form.
Finn made sure to take his eyes off her as she formed.
However, his curiosity got the better of him.
He stared at Estes fully manifested...
Still, something was different.
"Wait, you fucking had clothes the entire time!" Finn yelled at Estes, the beautiful horned lady in a black sundress.
Estes chuckled softly, her hands pressing softly on her lips as she looked away shyly. "Yesterday I was giving you a gift. You should really make up your mind on how you want to see me—with or without the clothing, Finn?"
She let out another annoyingly alluring giggle, causing Finn’s cheeks to redden.
He reacted by rubbing his temples in disappointment. ’Even her ideology of clothes is still insane.’
He raised his gaze and scanned her from head to toe once again. freёwebnoѵel.com
A black and white ditsy floral sundress, off-the-shoulder neckline paired with short, puffed cap sleeves and a thigh-skimming side slit that showed her flawless thighs.
No matter how many times Finn saw Estes, he could not help but be baffled at her beauty.
He could only wonder what she really was.
"Before we begin our practice, I’d like to show you what you can achieve as a Sword Master," Estes began, her hand stretched out, summoning the austere blade of her long sword into her grasp.
Finn watched in silence, taking in her stance, her grasp on her blade, seeing how differently she carried herself with a blade compared to him, who understood little to nothing about swordsmanship.
"Watch closely."
With that, Estes made her move, her speed unbelievable as she launched forward with an immense explosion, sending grit and a violent gale crashing onto Finn’s face.
Still, Finn dared not to blink as he watched Estes move around the wide field with insane speed, swinging her blade as though fighting an invisible enemy.
Everywhere she moved, the ground trembled, patches of brown from the fields giving way to her immense speed...
It was unbelievable. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
’She’s too fast, I can barely keep up.’
Just when Finn thought he had seen it all.
Estes paused, her stance changed; head down, back hunched, one foot ahead of the other while both hands grasped tightly to her sword by her side.
And then...
The entire air trembled, Finn’s gaze turning red before him as he watched Estes cleave her sword forward with immense speed.
A red light escaped the fast slash and flew forward for a few meters into the distance while leaving a massive amount of destruction in its passage.
After about dozens of meters, the thin light finally faded into nothingness.
And after it, a crater was dug so deeply into the grass that Finn found it hard to see into its depths.
His eyes surged with excitement, darting from the crater and back to Estes, who stood there watching the crater.
"So this is the power of a Sword Master?" Finn’s heart raced as the words left his mouth.
This was the power he could possess if he trained with Estes.
He would no longer be trash, he would no longer be no one... With this he could change his life and that of his mother.
Without noticing it, Finn was already in tears, a wide grin expanding on his face.
Estes turned back to Finn and winked at him playfully. "Knowledge when lost over time becomes what they say rather than what we see.
According to what ’they say,’ Finn Vaywill is weak because of his sword Talent... But with what you see, what do you think?" She grinned, saying the final part.
Finn reflected her excitement. "Sword magic is powerful."
