Chapter 170: God Hand

Seth wasn’t an expert on genetics, but he was pretty sure cracking a genetic code wasn’t supposed to be done so easily... right?

Seth stared at Kylie incredulously. "I thought cracking the gene code needed a specialized gene skill. Do you have one?"

Kylie fiddled with her hair, her expression stoic but her eyes carrying a slight glint of amusement. It was obvious she quite liked the attention, which was strange since she had never cared what anyone thought of her.

"I found a way around it. That’s what took most of my time."

Seth was speechless. He didn’t even bother asking any further — that was a rabbit hole he wasn’t ready to hop into.

"So how are we going to proceed with the primal pattern tracing? Apparently, I don’t have the sufficient essence to imprint one as sophisticated as yours due to my grade and rank," Kylie asked.

Hearing this question, Seth nodded. He had expected this.

All three of his gene skills were of the Monarch grade. His blood essence was that of an Awakened-grade being. Naturally, it would be crazy to think a Shackled Rank being could imprint his genetic primal patterns.

Fortunately, he had just the right solution.

He waved his hands, and a two-meter-tall device pulsed into reality...

[Item: God Hand (Model: 6Exo99)]

[Rank: – ]

[Description: The Gione Corporation’s latest God Hand Model, supports minimal input, maximum returns. The first Semi-Automatic Model!]

As expected, items crafted by lifeforms were different from origin-crafted items.

Due to it not being connected with the origin source, it was harder to grade and rank a sophisticated technological item such as this.

If he was to guess, the cosmos had its own grading standards...

Immediately the lustrous, gleaming metallic device appeared before them, Kylie hopped to her feet.

Her eyes glowing, she was already upon it. "What is this beauty?"

Her hand brushed against the metallic surface as she walked around the ten-foot-wide device.

If one was to describe it, the word 3D printer would come to mind, only...

Kylie squinted. "This is far beyond humanity’s current technological capacity."

A slight glow simmered on her fingertips in contact with the metal frame. Her eyes glowed as her mind streamed with information.

Kylie didn’t have a gene lineage, but she did awaken a gene skill — and no ordinary gene skill.

She awakened a Royal-grade gene skill. Though it was practically useless in combat, it was priceless...

[All Discerning Touch!]

[Description: Your curiosity is boundless, your hunger for knowledge is insatiable. With a single touch you see through all, you know it all, you gain it all...]

The skill was so potent, even Seth, a Monarch-grade Awakened, couldn’t hide his Bronze-grade status from her.

This was indeed a rare skill whose value far exceeded its grade by far!

She turned to Seth. "Where did you find this?"

Seth just smiled. "I got it through a lucky bargain..." he replied vaguely, flipping through a hardcover manual that had appeared with the device. He added, "This is the manual. Do you need the oracle to break it down? Or can you start right away?"

Patting the metal surface of the God Hand device, she replied, "No need. I can begin right away. Pass that over here."

Turning to Seth, she added, "You should start tempering right away. Plus, you will be responsible for casting and shaping."

She passed over a rolled-up blueprint as she collected the manual.

With that, she proceeded to immerse herself into the manual. With how fast she flipped through the pages, one would think she was skimming.

Seth walked to a corner arranged for him. He fished out a phone, messaging someone he had already contacted two hours before he had arrived back with the alloys.

"Are you here yet?"

A reply quickly popped in...

"Hehe, trust in me big bro, I’m already on site, just navigating my way to you."

Seth, feeling assured, began preparation, setting up the materials for his forging process he was about to commence.

Indeed, he had contacted Brandon, for one main reason mostly — his flames!

These alloys and ores he had procured weren’t regular metals. They were way beyond the likes of steel, granite, and other rare metals of the regular Earth of the past!

Plus, with Earth currently undergoing an Evolution, though still quite mid-process, the core had taken on some properties of a Tier Two world.

Meaning most resources had begun to reach the level of Awakened-level equivalents of materials.

The RiftTide alloy he used a lot was a great example of this, and was a Grade 1 ore.

And that was the same with these ores he had procured.

Meaning naturally such high-grade metals had an absurdly high melting point — one on the level none of the furnaces currently available to mankind could provide.

But this problem could be easily solved if an Awakened-grade being like Brandon could help.

Well, it was either that or finding a volcano to use as a furnace.

Plus, Brandon was bringing with him something else, something Seth had to borrow from another of his friends.

The mechanical doors of the workshop whirred, sliding open.

Kylie was too immersed in operating the God Hand while flipping to occasional sections of the manual from time to time to even notice or bother.

Brandon strode into the place, eyes wide with awe as he gawked at the items lined on pedestal glass displays like trophies decorating the place.

Then his eyes caught sight of Seth’s silhouette in the distance, and he rushed his way.

"Big bro, I’m here and at your service!" he chanted excitedly. He was aware Seth was here to attempt crafting a genetic armament.

As the first wielder of one, he felt as if he had a hand in this project.

Seth turned his way, breathing a sigh of relief. "Finally, you’re here!"

But he didn’t dwell on pleasantries. As comrades and friends, they were long past that point, so he cut to the point. "First thing first, conjure me an anvil. Make it as dense as possible! Oh yeah, along with a suitable workbench."

Brandon’s second green skill was special. It allowed him to craft any item he desired from flames, and imbue them with flame-related effects as he saw fit.

The only downside to this ability was that though items Brandon crafted could last an indefinite amount of time when he wielded them, once another evolver took it, it could at most last 12 hours. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Brandon quickly got to work while Seth continued sifting through the ores, trying to separate as much of the metal chunks from the earthen chunks as possible.

After a few minutes, Brandon was done. So was Seth... freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

Seth reached out his palm, and Brandon, understanding immediately, summoned a familiar metal-rimmed hammer!

Seth’s eyes glistened. Though this was a battle hammer, with Seth’s impeccable control over force, it would surely do.

He had Brandon borrow it from Jack. Good tempering required not only exquisite technique and materials, but also a great hammer.

And this hammer, meant to be wielded by a Titan-class lifeform, naturally had the qualification Seth needed.

Holding the hammer by its elongated handle, Seth felt a tingle from deep within his cells.

Caught off guard, a series of system prompts popped up in his vision.
