Chapter 125: 125 | Biohazard Situation

Jordan felt his chest tighten with emotion. "You did. You really did make me feel incredible. Thank you."

They lay there in comfortable silence for a while longer, listening to each other breathe and the occasional car passing on the street outside. The room still smelled like sex and Chloe’s perfume, a combination that Jordan was rapidly becoming addicted to.

Eventually Chloe did lift off him, moving slowly and carefully. Jordan winced as his cock slipped free, the sensation oversensitive after everything they’d just shared.

So much for keeping it all inside.

Chloe rolled onto her back beside him, one hand drifting down between her legs. When she brought it back up, her fingers glistened with their combined fluids.

"We definitely made a mess," she observed with amusement.

"Sorry about that. I didn’t exactly have control over the... volume."

"Don’t apologize." Chloe turned her head to smile at him. "I wanted it. I wanted all of it. I’ve never felt so thoroughly claimed before, and I loved every second."

Jordan propped himself up on one elbow, looking down at her flushed face and tousled hair. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Why did you do that? The whole taking charge thing? Not that I’m complaining, obviously, but it seemed like you had it all planned out."

Chloe’s smile turned shy, a blush creeping up her neck. "You’ve been so good to me lately. Meeting my parents, even though that was terrifying. Buying me things without expecting anything in return. Being patient with all my issues and insecurities. I wanted to do something special for you."

"You do special things for me all the time just by being here."

"Not like that." She bit her lower lip, looking suddenly vulnerable. "I wanted you to feel as good as you make me feel every day. I wanted to worship you a little bit. To show you how much you mean to me."

Oh. Oh that’s. That’s really sweet actually. And incredibly touching.

"You don’t have to worship me," Jordan said gently. "I’m just me. I’m not anything special."

"You’re not just anything." Chloe reached up to cup his face in her palm. "You’re my boyfriend. You’re the person who saw me at my lowest point and decided I was worth fighting for. And I’m allowed to make you feel special because that’s what you are to me."

Jordan caught her wrist and kissed her palm tenderly. "You make me feel special all the time. Just by being here with me. Just by choosing me."

"Sap," she accused, but her eyes were bright with affection.

"You love it when I’m sappy."

"I do," she admitted with a laugh. "Now come on. We should probably clean up before this turns into a genuine biohazard situation."

Jordan laughed and followed her to the bathroom. Chloe turned on the shower and adjusted the temperature while he watched, admiring the graceful lines of her body in the soft light.

They stepped under the hot spray together, and Jordan found himself mesmerized by the sight of water streaming down her curves, the way she tipped her head back and let it soak her hair until the blue streak looked almost black.

I could get used to this. Coming home to her every night. Showering together. Going to bed together. Building a life with someone who actually cares about me.

The thought should have terrified him. They’d only been officially dating for a week. But somehow it felt natural, like the most obvious thing in the world.

Chloe turned and caught him staring. "What?"

"Nothing important. Just thinking."

"About what?"

"How incredibly lucky I am." He pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her waist under the warm water. "A month ago I was a complete disaster. Now I’m here with you. Sometimes it doesn’t feel real."

Chloe’s arms came up around his neck. "It’s real. I promise you it’s real. We’re real."

They kissed under the spray, slow and sweet and tender. No urgency this time, no desperate need. Just the two of them existing together in their own private bubble, steam rising around them like a blessing.

When they finally made it back to bed, Jordan was completely exhausted. His entire body felt like it was made of jelly, loose and boneless and thoroughly used.

Chloe curled up against his side like it was the most natural thing in the world, her leg hooking over his, her arm draped across his chest in a possessive embrace.

"Jordan?" she said quietly, her voice already heavy with approaching sleep.

"Yeah, babe?"

"Thank you for tonight. For introducing me to your parents. For being proud of me in front of them. For making me feel like I belong somewhere."

"Of course I’m proud of you." Jordan ran his fingers through her damp hair, marveling at how soft it felt. "You’re incredible, Chloe. I’ll keep telling you that until you believe it."

Chloe made a soft, contented sound and pressed closer to him. "I’m starting to believe it. Because of you."

Jordan’s phone buzzed insistently on the nightstand. He ignored it, too comfortable to move.

"You should check that," Chloe murmured against his chest. "Might be important."

"It can wait. Nothing’s more important than this moment."

"Jordan," she said with gentle insistence.

"Fine." He reached over and grabbed the device reluctantly. freёweɓnovel.com

The screen showed multiple notifications from the System. Quest completions. Attraction increases. Achievement unlocks. Jordan scrolled through them quickly, noting that his chemistry with Chloe had jumped to seventy-seven percent.

But one notification made him pause, his thumb hovering over the screen.

NEW MILESTONE UNLOCKED: FIRST DEEP BOND

REWARD: GOLD TIER GACHA UNLOCK

A gold tier trait could change everything. Could give him abilities that would make navigating his new life infinitely easier. The old Jordan would have opened it immediately, desperate for any advantage he could get.

But right now, with Chloe soft and warm and trusting against his side, he found he didn’t care about the System at all. Didn’t care about quests or rewards or optimization strategies.

He locked his phone and set it back on the nightstand without opening the notification.

"Everything okay?" Chloe asked sleepily.

"Yeah," he lied easily. "Just my mom checking that we got home safe."

"Did you tell her yes?"

"I’ll text her back in the morning." Jordan pulled the blanket over them both and settled back into the pillows. "Sleep now. We can deal with the real world tomorrow."

"Mmm. Okay."
