Chapter 10: The Lucky Star’s Multiplier!
Luca Hale drove straight to the Porsche dealership with Naomi Monroe in the passenger seat.
The moment they stepped out of the car, a young sales associate in a fitted professional uniform approached them with a warm smile.
"Welcome to Porsche."
Although management constantly reminded the staff not to judge customers by appearance, experience had taught them otherwise.
A person’s clothes, accessories, and even the car they arrived in often revealed a lot about their spending power.
And Luca practically screamed premium customer.
Designer clothes.
A luxury SUV.
A striking appearance.
And a beautiful woman by his side.
To any salesperson, he was exactly the type of client they hoped would walk through the doors.
Of course, seeing Naomi beside him immediately extinguished any unrealistic fantasies.
Compared to the girl standing next to Luca, she didn’t stand a chance in either looks or temperament.
"Sir, is there any particular model you’re interested in?" she asked politely.
Before Luca could answer, Naomi tugged lightly on his sleeve.
"Wait a minute."
She lowered her voice.
"Aren’t we here right after buying a car? Why are you buying another one?"
In Naomi’s mind, a car was simply transportation.
One car was enough.
Two seemed excessive.
Three was completely unnecessary.
If Luca knew what she was thinking, he would definitely disagree.
To him, there was no such thing as too many good cars.
"Because this one isn’t for me."
Luca smiled.
"It’s for you."
Naomi froze.
"Huh?"
Her eyes widened.
"For me?"
Then she immediately shook her head.
"No, absolutely not."
The refusal came so quickly that even the sales associate looked surprised.
"You already gave me such an expensive watch," Naomi continued. "Now you want to buy me a car too? I can’t accept something that costly." ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
The sales associate instantly sensed danger.
If the girlfriend successfully talked him out of buying the car, her commission would disappear.
Naturally, she stepped in.
"Miss, you’re so fortunate."
She smiled gently.
"Your boyfriend is being thoughtful. You should let him spoil you a little."
Naomi’s cheeks immediately turned pink.
"W-We aren’t..."
She was about to explain.
But halfway through, she suddenly stopped.
Rejecting the relationship outright in public would only embarrass Luca.
After hesitating for a moment, she awkwardly changed her words.
"I just think it’s too expensive."
Then, almost in a whisper, she added,
"It wouldn’t be too late to buy one after we... get married."
The final two words nearly disappeared into the air.
Naomi lowered her head immediately afterward, too embarrassed to look up.
Inside her shoes, her toes curled tightly.
Luca stared at her.
Then realization dawned.
A smile slowly appeared on his face.
He reached over and rubbed her head.
"That’s fine."
"I’ll buy you something even better after we get married."
Naomi immediately rolled her eyes.
This jerk.
She was trying to save his dignity, and he was taking advantage of the situation to tease her again.
Watching the interaction, the sales associate suddenly felt very full.
Emotionally full.
The kind of full that made lunch seem unnecessary.
She had just been force-fed a truckload of affection.
Meanwhile, Naomi looked back at Luca.
"Are you seriously buying me a car?"
"Let’s take a look first."
"What if you find one you like?"
The sales associate guided them around the showroom.
The more Naomi looked, the more frightened she became.
Originally, she had been thinking that if Luca insisted on buying her something, maybe she could choose a cheaper model worth a few tens of thousands and slowly pay him back later.
Unfortunately...
Reality was cruel.
Forget tens of thousands.
She couldn’t find a single vehicle priced below forty thousand dollars.
After seeing several price tags, Naomi finally couldn’t take it anymore.
"Luca..."
She tugged his sleeve again.
"Why don’t we go somewhere else?"
"These are way too expensive."
Luca already knew where this would end if he let Naomi continue choosing.
At this rate, they’d still be here after dinner.
So he simply turned toward the sales associate.
"That red 911 we saw earlier."
"Do you have one available?"
The sales associate’s eyes lit up instantly.
A Porsche 911?
For his girlfriend?
What kind of fairy-tale boyfriend was this?
"Of course we do," she replied enthusiastically.
"Although we’ll need about two days to transfer it from headquarters."
"No problem."
Luca nodded casually.
"Give me the highest configuration."
"Let’s do the paperwork."
Before Naomi’s brain could even process what was happening, Luca had already handed over his card.
Swipe.
Done.
[Ding!]
[Host spent 248,000 Dollars on Naomi Monroe.]
[Critical Hit Triggered!]
[Reward: Villa obtained at Elvis Muskov Villa Complex!]
A villa?
Luca’s eyebrows shot up.
The Elvis Muskov Villa Complex was the most prestigious residential area in San Fierro.
Even the cheapest villa there cost over five million dollars.
The premium properties could easily reach seven or eight million.
More importantly, money alone wasn’t enough to buy one.
Connections were usually required.
And now the system had simply handed him one.
Originally, he had been planning to buy a house next.
Now that problem was solved.
As expected.
Naomi Monroe truly was his lucky star.
A few minutes later, the sales associate returned with all the documents.
"Mr. Hale, everything has been processed."
She handed over the paperwork respectfully.
"Just bring Miss Monroe’s identification in three days, and the vehicle can be collected."
"Thank you."
Luca nodded.
Then he turned toward Naomi.
Only to discover she was still standing there in a daze.
Apparently, her brain hadn’t fully rebooted yet.
Amused, Luca waved a hand in front of her eyes.
"Hello?"
"Earth to Naomi."
"Come back."
Only then did she blink.
"Huh?"
"Let’s go."
Luca grabbed her wrist and gently led her outside.
The trip had been incredibly rewarding.
Not only had his available cash climbed past two and a half million dollars, but he had also received a luxury villa worth millions.
Life was becoming easier and easier.
Once they were back inside the car, silence filled the cabin.
For a long moment, Naomi simply stared out the window.
Eventually, she spoke.
"Luca..."
Her voice was unusually soft.
"Why are you so good to me?"
When Luca glanced over, he noticed her eyes were slightly red.
She looked as though she might cry at any moment.
Naomi wasn’t stupid.
Over the years, plenty of wealthy young men had pursued her.
Many had spent money trying to impress her.
But none of them had ever made her feel this way.
Whenever she spent time with Luca, she felt happy.
When several days passed without seeing him, she found herself missing him.
Thinking about him before bed.
Wondering what he was doing.
Checking her phone more often than usual.
If that wasn’t love...
Then what was?
Luca didn’t avoid her gaze.
Instead, he answered honestly.
"Because I like you."
The simple sentence instantly made Naomi’s heartbeat lose control.
Her fingers tightened around her skirt.
Even her voice trembled slightly.
"Y-You mean..."
"You want us to... be together?"
For the first time, Luca hesitated.
Because while he genuinely liked Naomi...
There was still someone else occupying a corner of his heart.
The mysterious woman from that unforgettable night.
The woman whose name he still didn’t know.
The woman who had disappeared the next morning without leaving anything behind except memories.
No matter what happened...
He still intended to find her.
And until he did, there were some answers Luca couldn’t give lightly.
