Chapter 87: Let Me Kill Them

When Theodore and Geoffrey arrived, the barracks were less crowded than usual; many people chose to leave in their own vehicles, and only a few people who did not have vehicles came to the barracks to go with the soldiers. freewebnσvel.cøm

Theodore had yet to learn where the clinic was, so he let Geoffrey lead the way. He followed beside him while taking in his surroundings.

"There are a lot of people here. Is it because of what those north gate people did?" Theodore realized this clinic area was more crowded than other areas in this military base.

"Yes, there were more people injured that day." Geoffrey looked haggard as he spoke; he was sad that so many people were injured.

While walking towards the place where Roxanne was being treated, Theodore saw the figure of Doctor Christopher, who had not seen him for a long time. It was natural that Doctor Christopher was there because only a few doctors were on the military base.

Theodore could see that the medical personnel there were busy because many people needed treatment. Deep in thought, he was surprised when Geoffrey suddenly turned the corner.

Actually, this place called the clinic could not be a clinic because it was only made of large tents combined to accommodate many people. Each few people were only separated by a thin cloth.

When Theodore walked into Roxanne’s cubicle, he saw two other people who were also injured there.

"Sister, how are you?" Geoffrey finally smiled slightly when he saw Roxanne waking up and looking better.

"Why are you here, Geo?" Roxanne was both surprised and happy when she saw her favorite brother’s arrival, especially when she saw Geoffrey coming with Theodore. "It turns out you’re home already," Roxanne continued to greet Theodore.

"Without brother Theo, it would have been difficult for me to come here. While brother Theo is here, I can see you before going to the west gate," Geoffrey replied enthusiastically.

Roxanne was delighted to see the arrival of the two people. Her condition was better, but she still had to be treated because her wound was quite severe.

"I was shocked when I heard you were injured." After Theodore took a look at Roxanne’s condition, he could see that the wound was quite severe.

"You must have been shocked. I was really shocked when people came to attack us," Roxanne replied with a grimace as she recalled what happened to her on the day of the incident.

"The one who attacked you was the one who came earlier?" Theodore asked her once more to confirm it.

"Yes, it was the same people who came before. And they were looking for you," Roxanne said, now getting serious. She was worried about what would happen to Theodore now that he had returned to base.

"They’re looking for me? Apparently, they really want to die by my hand." Theodore’s voice sounded colder this time.

Geoffrey, who was next to Theodore, also timidly glanced at him. Suddenly, he felt a dark aura from his direction. Geoffrey thought that those bastards were really looking to die.

"By the way, what did the doctor say about your condition?" Geoffrey quickly diverted their conversation to make it less tense.

"I still have to be treated here. My wounds are quite severe, and you know our base doesn’t have much medical equipment or adequate medicine," Roxanne explained with a face resigned to still being treated there.

Theodore also intended to visit Victor to discuss the people’s problems at the north gate, so he said to leave for a while with them.

"You stay here. I have some business with the captain. When you’re done, just wait for me in the car," Theodore said. When he saw that the two of them were not happy talking, he did not want to interrupt their conversation.

"Alright, don’t worry about me." Geoffrey smiled broadly as usual at Theodore.

Roxanne also waved her hand when Theodore stepped out of his room. Theodore immediately went towards the barracks occupied by Victor’s group.

The Victor group’s barracks were not crowded, so Theodore did not feel strange when he did not see many people passing by.

Theodore headed straight towards Victor’s room; the soldiers here already knew him, so they didn’t stop him when they saw him.

Before knocking on Victor’s room door, Theodore took a breath. He wanted to prepare himself before being scolded or shouted at by Victor, whose anger sometimes exploded.

Only a few moments after Theodore knocked on the door, Victor’s voice from inside told him to come in.

"Why did you come? What did you come to see me about?" Victor didn’t look too happy when he saw Theodore coming.

"Who are you waiting for, Captain?" Theodore became curious as to who Victor was waiting for.

"Roderick. Did you see him outside?" Victor had been discussing an important matter with Roderick and had sent him off to look for something, but he had just returned.

"No. Are you talking about the trouble caused by the North Gate people?" Seeing that Theodore felt it was time, he discussed this matter with Victor.

Victor frowned and even openly looked at Theodore suspiciously. He was really dizzy because his superiors had told all the team captains to find a solution to this problem.

"How did you find out about this problem?" Victor’s gaze seemed to be colder than usual at the moment.

"One of the injured victims of the attack was my friend, so I found out," Theodore said, then explained how he found out about this problem.

"As it turns out, I thought you were secretly investigating us. So, what did you come to see me for?" Victor again asked the reason for Theodore’s visit.

Theodore smiled slightly before speaking, "I came here to solve your problem. Allow me to kill them all."

For a moment, Victor was entirely surprised by Theodore’s words; he did not expect him to come directly to him to ask permission to kill people. Actually, Victor did not mind Theodore’s words because, honestly, he intended to send people to kill the troublemakers.

But the problem was that the people who made trouble had many people who were power users. So it will be difficult for the military to kill them.

Victor also doubted Theodore because he wasn’t a power user, either. Victor knew that Theodore was a competent, strong young man. If he sent Theodore to kill those bastards and he ended up dying, it would be a loss for the military.

"The problem is whether you can kill them. For all you know, their group has a lot of power users; you could die trying to kill them," Victor explained while observing how Theodore reacted.

Theodore chuckled softly when he heard Victor’s explanation. Indeed, it made sense, but Victor didn’t know the secret. Theodore was confident in his strength and knew he could defeat them.

"I will definitely bring you victory, captain," Theodore said confidently as he looked directly into Victor’s eyes.
