Chapter 212: Lead The Way
"How did they get here? And again so suddenly!" Geoffrey, who was sitting beside Theodore, immediately expressed his thoughts.
"I don’t know how they got there either. It’s just that if we don’t leave this place soon, there will be a lot of zombies coming," Theodore replied, still busy driving his car to get out of the area.
The river was around the hills so the road to get there was not very good. So Theodore needed more effort to get out of the hilly area that had rocky roads.
"I think I know why they’re here." Suddenly, Celia’s voice came from the direction of the back bench.
Roxanne and Geoffrey immediately turned their heads to look at Celia; they still didn’t understand. It seemed that Celia did understand better if it was about the crazy people in D town.
"The smell of blood from us attracted the zombies who were hiding, then the crazy people around this place found the zombies. That’s why they fight each other," Celia explained.
"Yes, that could indeed happen. It’s just that I didn’t detect any zombies around where we were resting earlier. My guess is that those crazy people deliberately attracted the zombies here," replied Theodore, expressing his conjecture.
"Considering how sneaky the big boss is, that seems possible. Then you’re no longer safe in this town, the boss must have seen what happened in the town square earlier. If indeed that madman attracted those zombies here, then the big boss has already marked you." Celia, who was usually expressionless, now showed a clear expression of fear.
Theodore frowned cluelessly when he heard Celia mention the name of the big boss. He had guessed that there was indeed someone behind the appearance of this drug that made people crazy.
If the situation was that serious, then Theodore and the others would have to leave the city immediately.
"Geoffrey, find the fastest route we can use to get out of this city." Theodore, without hesitation, immediately ordered Geoffrey to find a way out of this city.
"Even if we take the fastest route, it will still take us a day to get out of this city. The earliest we can get out of this city is tomorrow morning," Geoffrey replied later.
"I think it’s better for us to find a place to hide first today while thinking of a plan on how we’re going to handle this problem," Roxanne suggested not to be too rash at the moment.
"I agree with Roxanne. We might fall into their trap if we rush out of this city," Celia said, agreeing with Roxanne’s suggestion.
Geoffrey also looked at Theodore while nodding his head; no matter what, they still wouldn’t be able to leave the city tonight, so it was better for them to find a place to spend the night first while thinking about their plans for the future.
"Alright then. Then, where are we going to hide tonight?" Since everyone wanted to spend the night in this town, Theodore had no other choice.
It was just that Theodore also knew that they had no idea where to hide tonight. At least there was still time before nightfall, so Theodore thought they could still find a safe place to hide.
"I know where we can spend the night safely." And again Celia also opened her voice to provide help. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"It’s a good thing you’re here, otherwise we would have had a hard time finding a safe place to spend the night," Roxanne replied with a big smile on her face.
"You can show me the way," Theodore replied later, allowing Celia to lead him to the place he knew.
After that Celia immediately directed Theodore to the place she knew. While following Celia’s directions, Theodore realized that they were taken to a place that looked like an uninhabited area.
Many of the buildings around the place were destroyed, and a lot of debris was scattered on the streets. The atmosphere around the place was not very pleasant, not only that it was utterly deserted.
"Are you sure we can hide here?" Theodore glanced at Celia from the rearview mirror in front.
"Yes, I have a hiding place in this area. No one will know this place but me," Celia replied confidently.
After that, Celia asked Theodore to park their car in one of the buildings that looked destroyed from the outside, but actually, there were still parts of the building that could be entered.
Theodore complied and parked his car there. Then they all got out of the car, after which Celia took over and took them to the hiding place she said earlier.
Roxanne and Geoffrey, who had never been in an area like this, had a hard time because the terrain was quite rocky, and they had to pass through many ruins of buildings.
"Are you sure you’re guiding us to the right place?" Geoffrey couldn’t help but question Celia’s directions.
Celia did not respond to that and preferred to focus on the road in front of her. Finally, Celia turned into a small passage that, if you didn’t look carefully, you wouldn’t know there was a passage.
It was so narrow that they had to walk while tilting their bodies and stepping slowly. Then, Celia suddenly stopped her steps and groped the wall in front of her.
Theodore and the others were confused when they saw Celia’s behavior; they didn’t understand why she was doing that.
"What are you doing?" Roxanne asked in confusion.
Immediately after that, the solid wall in front of Celia began to shift and revealed a passage that they could enter. Everyone who saw that immediately fell silent, not expecting something like that to appear.
"Come in quickly!" Celia immediately shifted to the side to allow the others to enter the secret passage. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Not wanting to say more Roxanne who was beside Celia immediately entered the passage, followed by Geoffrey, then the last was Theodore.
After making sure everyone had entered, Celia was the last to join the passage. Celia immediately closed the passage from the inside so that no outsiders could enter without her knowledge.
"Just keep going forward, this hallway is not far ahead there is a fairly large room," Celia said, immediately ordering Roxanne, who was at the front, to continue walking forward.
"This place is safe, right?" Roxanne also chose to ask Celia about this first before going any further.
"Yes, there won’t be anything inside this place," Celia replied with confidence.
After hearing that, Roxanne also ventured herself and began to step forward as Celia had told her.
