Chapter 206: To The New City
Before leaving the sacred dimension, Theodore first harvested vegetables and fruits in his field. Theodore also made several kinds of food to stock up on food for himself and his two friends.
When Theodore came out of the sacred dimension, he could see Roxanne’s shocked face, who saw him suddenly appear in his original place.
"You finally showed up, too. It’s already morning. We’ve been waiting for you." Roxanne immediately babbled when she saw Theodore’s appearance on the bench beside her.
"Sorry, I have a lot of things to do over there," Theodore replied, not really caring.
"Where did you go? I was wondering since you suddenly disappeared into thin air earlier," Geoffrey said excitedly, curious about Theodore’s secret.
"Secret. Even if I explain it, you won’t understand." Theodore rolled his eyes and ignored Geoffrey’s words, "Forget about it. Are you hungry?" Theodore continued his words.
"I’ve been waiting for you to say that! What did you have for breakfast today?!" Geoffrey was immediately excited and impatiently waited for Theodore to bring out the food he had prepared.
Roxanne immediately thought that Theodore had disappeared long enough to prepare food for them, especially since she remembered that the food they had eaten earlier that morning was Theodore’s leftover stock.
"So you disappeared to make food stock for us?" Roxanne then asked Theodore about it.
Theodore, who was busy taking out breakfast for them, looked up slightly to stare at Roxanne, and then he grinned while nodding his head.
"You can say it like that." Theodore then nodded his head.
Then, Theodore took out three bowls of porridge and a plate full of bacon that he had fried, this time they would have a simple breakfast, considering that they had eaten early in the morning.
Geoffrey’s eyes sparkled when he saw the food Theodore had brought out. He did not need to doubt the food Theodore provided.
"You’re the best! Bon appetit!" Geoffrey happily ate the warm, soft porridge.
Roxanne chuckled and followed Geoffrey’s lead to eat the porridge provided by Theodore. Theodore also ate because he had not eaten anything since entering the sacred dimension.
While eating their breakfast, Theodore also asked Geoffrey about their travel route today, which would start to enter the D City area.
"Geoffrey, have you searched for our travel route today?" Theodore glanced at Geoffrey, who was still eating porridge vigorously.
"Yes, while you were gone, I had nothing to do, so I fiddled with the tablet to find the fastest route through D City." Geoffrey nodded his head without raising his head from his porridge bowl.
"Good then. We will enter the D City area immediately after eating," Theodore replied, nodding his head in satisfaction.
"By the way, we need to fill up the gas again. Last time I checked this car, the gasoline was almost gone." Roxanne reminded him of an essential matter before they started their journey today.
"Alright, I’ll fill up the gas after this. It also looks like we need to install solar panels on the roof for backup electricity. Your tablet battery is running low, right?" Theodore turned to Geoffrey. fгeewebnovёl.com
"That’s right, I wanted to tell you this but forgot. Good thing you reminded me," Geoffrey replied looking quite shocked at the moment when he realized there was something important he had to tell Theodore.
That way, they would still need to make preparations before entering the D City area. After breakfast, Theodore and the others began to make preparations and check their cars properly so that there would be no problems when they started the journey later.
. . .
After spending quite a lot of time, Theodore and the others were finally able to start their journey. It was just when they were about to start going into the D City area, they saw another car coming out of the forest behind them.
"Wow, it turns out that someone else wants to go through the damn forest," Geoffrey said as he shook his head when he saw the car slowly approaching them.
"Ignore it. We can’t take any more risks right now." Theodore also had no intention of finding out about the car that was seen coming out of the forest.
"Should we go now?" Roxanne didn’t object to Theodore’s words, she was already tired of trusting others at this point.
"We’d better see where they’re going first," Theodore said, choosing to wait for the car to pass them.
The car’s speed was relatively fast, and within a short time, it had swept past their car; Theodore could see that it was also heading towards the D City border road.
"Looks like they’re headed in the same direction as us," Roxanne said when she saw where the car was going.
"We have to be careful; no matter how things are inside D City right now, we have to be vigilant." Theodore’s face turned serious.
If there wasn’t anything inside D City, there was no way anyone would decide to go there. Theodore was one of the exceptions because they only wanted to cross D City, and this trip was not planned in advance.
And when there were other people who went to D City Theodore came to think that there was something going on in D City right now.
Even so, Theodore couldn’t delay their departure any longer, so he started driving his car to enter D City. Roxanne and Geoffrey looked serious after seeing that there were other people who had the same destination as them.
Fortunately, Geoffrey had already prepared their travel route so Theodore was no longer confused about where they should go after entering the D City area.
"In order to get through the city faster, we should enter the city center. I’ll lead you there," said Geoffrey, who was sitting beside Theodore at the moment.
"There is no other way?" Theodore asked for an alternate path as he was a little anxious if they had to cross the city center.
"The journey will be quite far if we go through the suburbs. We’ll end up going in circles because the road that will take us to H City is on the other side of the city. It’ll be faster if we go through the city center," Geoffrey explained while looking at the tablet in his hand.
"I’m a little worried about having to go through the city center. Especially since we lost track of the previous car, we don’t know where they’re going." Theodore was in a bit of a dilemma about whether he should take them through the city center of this D City.
"It doesn’t seem to matter if we go through the city center. At least we can know what’s going on in this city if we find something wrong when passing through the city center," said Roxanne, who was just listening from the back seat.
