Chapter 182: Invasion
The next day Theodore woke up with a fresh face, it had been a long time since he had gotten this kind of quality sleep. Theodore stepped lightly to open the curtains of his window.
"I haven’t enjoyed sleeping like this in a long time," Theodore said as he stretched his body with a smile on his face.
As Theodore looked out the window, he furrowed his brows in surprise, the problem was that his apartment was located on the top row of floors so he could observe the area around his apartment building from up here.
And now Theodore saw several heavily armed military vehicles heading towards his apartment building, although he had no idea if their destination was actually his house.
"Do those damn officials want to take revenge on me?" Theodore began to think that the higher-ups he had nudged yesterday were starting to make moves to get back at him.
Fortunately Theodore woke up in the morning so he still had a chance to do some precautionary things. Theodore remembered that he still had plenty of food in his house.
The higher-ups would be suspicious of him if there were a lot of foodstuffs in Theodore’s house, so he hurriedly ran to the kitchen to see the contents of the refrigerator and storage cabinets.
"I should at least put all this stuff into the sacred dimension just in case they intend to kick me out of this base," Theodore muttered, thinking of the worst that could happen.
With that, Theodore slowly put all the remaining food ingredients in his kitchen to create a sacred dimension. Not only that, Theodore also included all the items that he could still use, such as the stove and plates.
After finishing in the kitchen Theodore moved quickly towards the terrace of his apartment, he quickly removed the two solar panels that were there and immediately put them into the sacred dimension.
"Should I secure other items? It would be a pity if I left my other furniture here." Theodore rubbed his chin in thought.
Finally, Theodore decided to store his television and some electronic devices in the sacred dimension and leave the other furniture in place. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
After finishing his business, Theodore sat down on the sofa in the living room; he took a large bowl and a knife from the sacred dimension. Then, Theodore took out the few remaining cherry tomatoes, grapes, and two apples.
While waiting for the people from the military to arrive, Theodore peeled the apples and ate the grapes and cherry tomatoes that he could eat right away.
"It seems like it took a while for them to get here. It’s only natural that the streets are now crowded with people selling," Theodore muttered casually while munching on the grapes.
Theodore realized that all his senses were becoming sharper as his level increased, and after waiting for about half an hour, he could hear the sound of clattering footsteps in the hallway of his apartment.
Theodore quietly grinned and didn’t move from his position. He continued to enjoy his breakfast and popped a piece of apple into his mouth when he heard a thunderous knock on his door.
But it seemed that those people were not that patient because not long after that Theodore could hear that the door of his apartment was forcibly broken down by them.
"Oh my! What did you guys do to my apartment door?" Theodore was still sitting on the sofa, enjoying his fruit.
The special forces soldiers immediately pointed their guns at Theodore who was relaxing, they didn’t expect him to be relaxing like this.
"Why did you come to my apartment with such a commotion? Did the higher-ups tell you to disturb my life while I’m at the base?" Theodore grinned while leaning his back.
"Headquarters has already decided to detain you, if you don’t want to be kicked out of the base you better come with us voluntarily!"
"What if I don’t want to?" Theodore asked with an annoyed face.
"Then we’ll have to use force to get you to come with us."
Theodore laughed when he heard their words, he didn’t know what they wanted to do to him but it was certain that he would get hurt if he didn’t come with them now.
"Alright, I’ll come with you, but let me change first." Theodore started to get up from his position and intended to walk towards his room.
One of the soldiers standing near Theodore blocked his steps. Theodore frowned unhappily.
"I agreed to come with you guys, not that I’m afraid of the violence you said. I can kill you all if I want to, so step aside while I’m still speaking nicely," Theodore said in a voice that sounded threatening.
The soldier also glanced at his leader; he only moved out of Theodore’s way after his leader nodded his head.
Theodore chuckled softly and glanced at the soldier who was blocking his way sharply, but he still stepped his feet to enter his room.
Theodore wasn’t lying, it was just that he had another agenda when he said he wanted to change in his room.
It would be complicated for Theodore to return to his house, so he took this opportunity to store his mattress, closet, and some of his furniture in the sacred dimension.
"They were so stupid to let me come in here alone," Theodore muttered with a grin as he quickly changed his clothes.
Theodore didn’t want the soldiers to get suspicious of him so he quickly changed and left the room as soon as he was done.
"I’m done, we can go now." Theodore walked towards the soldiers who were still on standby.
But one thing Theodore didn’t realize was that there was someone behind him who hit the back of his head very strongly and instantly made him lose consciousness.
. . .
When Theodore regained consciousness, he felt his head throbbing with pain; as he looked around, he was already in a place that resembled a prison. The only difference was that the entire room was covered by a wall, and there was only a locked metal door.
"Damn it, there’s no way they’re going to arrest me nicely." Theodore shook his head in annoyance.
And now Theodore didn’t know where he was. He didn’t realize that their base had a place to lock someone up.
At this rate, Theodore was going to run away; it seemed like it was time for him to leave City A base and start his adventure outside the base.
"Should I really go back to K City?" Theodore also thought about returning to his hometown; it’s just that he already understands very well that the situation in the City of K is very bad.
"System! Can you tell me where I am right now?" Theodore quickly called the system to help him.
[Unfortunately, the system also had no idea where the host was at the time. When the host was unconscious, the system entered sleep mode]
Theodore patted his forehead, not expecting that his system could not help him at a crucial moment like this. Theodore had to think on his own to escape from this suffocating place.
