SUMMARY
I died like a dog three years into the apocalypse, hunted across 300 kilometres by a horror I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
And as I stood my ground one last time, growling in ferality not much different than the one growling back at me, I couldn't help the laugh that bubbled out.
A laugh at how here I was, last of my group, surrounded, barely conscious from the amputation of my arm, taking my final swing at the monster I knew I could never kill.
And just as I did…
I woke in bed with my feline furball on my face, actively suffocating me, along with this-

15 days and the world goes to hell.
Heh... I’ve already watched everyone I cared about die, and learned exactly what went wrong.
And I'll be damned if I let history repeat itself.

Author’s Notes-
1. The story puts a lot of focus on realistic survival, guns, their ballistic performances, and the trade-offs that come with different high-caliber weapon systems.
2. Zombies, or as they are called in the story, Infected, start as sprinters before eventually turning into classic shamblers due to malnutrition. But by the time they do, they would have developed a non-Newtonian fluid-like layer around their skull and torso, making standard intermediate-caliber rifles like the AR-15 far less effective against them.
3. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the Infected. One example being, they’d remain even after years into the apocalypse because they procreate, they eat anything a deer would, engage in selective cannibalism, and consolidate around water bodies.
4. The Infected also mutate into things much worse. Imagine a swarm of thousands of Infected crows, or a massive biomass the size of half a city that consumes all things organic. Or an intelligent variant, with superhuman strength and agility, capable of leaping buildings while also having the ability to command hordes.
5. The story has in-depth base building and vehicle modifications. Imagine a perfect base built from scratch at the edge of a mountain, or a fortress on wheels.
6. Yes, there will be romance. But no explicit bumping of uglies will be depicted.
7. The cat isn’t a decoration. Tikki’s the Robin to Nikki’s Batman.
8. The System is minimalistic, centered around its shop, crafting/modification menu, and its Base Building Module.
9. Nikki uses his Telekinesis more tactically instead of hurling cars at his enemies. Though he does that too.
10. As the title of the story suggests, Nikki is the only one who has something like Telekinesis. So, no, people won’t be shooting fireballs at each other across rooftops while a horde weakly groans on the streets below.
So yeah, that’s it.
That should give you a pretty good idea of what the story is about.
