Chapter 351: Chapter 351: Creating Something from Nothing

Qiao Xixi stared in amazement at the moving location markers in her special space.

"How strange. Sunxiao and the others’ markers are moving, but something feels off."

Jin Ling held her in his arms, also looking at their location markers.

The markers were moving at a slow pace, so everything seemed normal, but the route just felt wrong.

Just by looking at the map, however, it was impossible to tell what exactly was strange.

"At the speed they’re traveling, they should arrive by the day after tomorrow at the latest. We can ask them about it when they get back."

Once she confirmed that Sunxiao and the others were still heading toward the tribe, Qiao Xixi relaxed a little, closing her eyes and snuggling deeper into Jin Ling’s embrace.

The moment she shifted, the little tiger cub lying beside her wriggled into her arms as well.

Qiao Xixi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ’Seriously,’ she thought, ’this father-daughter duo has me sandwiched. They aren’t planning on leaving me any room to move at all.’

Her hand landed gently on the cub’s soft little arm, and she couldn’t resist giving her chubby little hand a squeeze before closing her eyes.

"Xixi, Xixi, wake up."

Qiao Xixi was just about to fall asleep when she was woken up.

She opened her eyes to an endless darkness. She yawned, and the darkness gradually began to dissipate.

A figure cloaked in an iridescent white appeared before her.

Yun Ji was still dressed in his snow-white feathered robe. His long hair was tied at his back with a single white leather strap. Aside from the pure white robe, he wore no other adornments, yet from a distance, he exuded an aura of sanctity from head to toe.

Qiao Xixi was a little peeved. ’I was just falling asleep! Couldn’t this guy have picked a daytime to show up?’

She walked right up to Yun Ji, leaning in to examine his feathered robe closely.

Yun Ji was taken aback by her sudden action. This was the first time she had ever approached him so proactively.

Just as Yun Ji was feeling puzzled, he felt a faint, sharp pain on his body.

He looked again and saw Qiao Xixi clutching a feather in her hand.

"I’m honestly curious sometimes—how are your feathers iridescent white, and how are Kunlin’s feathers iridescent black?"

"You’ve met Kunlin?"

Qiao Xixi looked up at him. "Mhm. Do you two know each other?"

"Yes, he is a warrior of the Wing Clan." Yun Ji didn’t seem to want to say more on the subject. "Today, we are going to learn something different."

Only then did Qiao Xixi realize that this time, they were in the middle of a desert.

There wasn’t a drop of water as far as the eye could see. How were they supposed to learn anything?

"Today, we will learn how to create something from nothing."

"This sounds interesting."

"Because you can’t guarantee you’ll have water in every environment, we must find a way to conjure it."

"If I can even conjure water, then I really need to learn this well."

Yun Ji looked up and pointed at the gloomy-looking sky. "See that? We are going to turn that cloud into water. Close your eyes and listen to me recite the incantation."

"CRUNCH."

"CRUNCH, CRUNCH."

"CRUNCH, CRUNCH, CRUNCH."

Yun Ji’s brow furrowed. He opened his eyes in exasperation, only to see Qiao Xixi taking large bites of a fruit.

The half-eaten fruit in Qiao Xixi’s hand was suddenly snatched away. She looked up, displeased.

"Didn’t I tell you to learn properly?"

Qiao Xixi swore she really had been listening, but she had suddenly felt incredibly thirsty. Then, she had somehow found a fruit on her person—it was most likely one the little tiger cub had stuffed into her clothes while playing before bed.

She just hadn’t expected to actually be able to eat the fruit.

"I remember it."

Yun Ji raised an eyebrow. "Then recite it."

Qiao Xixi closed her eyes and recited a string of incantations.

The moment the incantation left her lips, she felt a gust of wind blow toward her.

"Continue. Don’t stop."

Qiao Xixi kept her eyes closed and continued to chant.

"Hold out your hand."

Qiao Xixi obediently held out her hand and felt a ticklish sensation on her palm.

She opened her eyes to see Yun Ji’s fingertips tracing something on her palm. His gaze was lowered, his long eyelashes trembling in the wind like feathers.

After he finished drawing, Yun Ji looked up at her and placed his palm against hers.

"Close your eyes and feel."

Qiao Xixi closed her eyes, feeling a cool energy spread slowly from her palm to her heart.

"Recite the incantation."

Qiao Xixi recited the incantation again. Her feet suddenly left the ground, and her whole body began to float. The wind swirling around her grew stronger and stronger.

At that moment, Yun Ji suddenly let go of her hand.

Qiao Xixi’s heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively grabbed his arm.

"What are you doing? What if I fall after you let go?"

Yun Ji paused, then said with some exasperation, "Try letting go. Nothing will happen."

Qiao Xixi was skeptical, but Yun Ji gave her no chance to dawdle, pushing her hand away directly.

"Hey!"

Having lost her support, Qiao Xixi thought she was going to fall.

But to her surprise, it felt as though there was a platform beneath her feet, holding her up.

Qiao Xixi’s eyes widened in astonishment.

"I can fly?"

"This is called riding the wind."

Yun Ji raised his hand, and a current of wind held steady beneath Qiao Xixi’s feet.

"Like water, the wind can be controlled. You must feel it with your heart, let it accept you. Only then can it better understand what you want."

’How abstract.’

But Qiao Xixi still gave it a bold try.

She extended her hand and silently recited the incantation she had just learned. A tender sprout shot out from her chest and quickly moved to her palm.

Qiao Xixi opened her eyes and thrust her palm toward the sky.

"Wind."

A WHOOSHING sound filled the air as the wind flew rapidly toward the dark cloud overhead.

The wind and cloud quickly churned together. Qiao Xixi’s eyes widened in amazement.

As the wind churned, the cloud grew darker and darker, eventually turning inky black.

Qiao Xixi felt the moisture in the air. She silently recited another incantation and formed a hand seal.

"Water."

The wild wind howled, and a single drop of water suddenly fell onto her face.

Qiao Xixi looked at Yun Ji in disbelief.

Yun Ji just looked back at her, a faint smile on his lips as he nodded.

What Qiao Xixi didn’t know was that Tiger Beast City’s forces were rapidly approaching the Black Panther Tribe.

Seated on a Golden Eagle Beast, Mr. Bai looked at the tribe ahead and waved his hand.

The contingent quickly landed on a mountain outside the Black Panther Tribe’s territory.

"Go. Find the beastmen we sent to scout the Black Panther Tribe and get a clear picture of the current situation."

"Yes, sir."

Meanwhile, Kunqi was also leading Sunxiao and the others toward the Black Panther Tribe.

"We’re not going directly to the Black Panther Tribe just yet. We’ll head to that mountain up ahead and rendezvous with the people from Tiger Beast City first."

Kunqi looked at Huang Ying, stunned. "Tiger Beast City? What are they doing here?"

Huang Ying said, "They have a major feud with the Black Panther Tribe. I asked them to come help. It’ll save us some effort."

Kunqi’s expression changed. For years, the various Beast Cities had appeared to be on peaceful terms, but he knew in his heart that every single one was going all out to increase its own power and expand its territory.

If the beastmen from Tiger Beast City found out that they had taken out their Crystal Stone, what would they think?
