Su Yue was heading for a bench by the side of the road when a blond young man suddenly appeared and blocked her path. She turned to look at him and gave him a slight nod.

"Hello, can I help you?"

"Well, you can have something else if you don’t drink! Don’t you girls love milk tea? I’ll buy you a milk tea."

The blond man rattled off a long list of suggestions, but Su Yue, her face a blank mask, rejected every single one.

"Lin Li, where have you been? I texted you! Why didn’t you reply?"

The blond man pestering Su Yue watched as the girl who had been so cold to him instantly changed her expression. She was now smiling like a flower in full bloom as she greeted the man slowly approaching from the distance. A complicated mix of feelings churned within him.
