"You look beautiful today" The second the words left my mouth one of Alice’s feet got caught behind the other.
"Huh?!" She managed to catch herself before I had the chance to reach over and I saw her eyes shaking.
’Such an intense reaction’ I was surprised seeing the disbelief on her face as we both paused in the middle of the sidewalk.

"Really beautiful" I once again called her cute and watched with amusement as her shoulders trembled.
"....." Alice stood in silence for a couple of seconds before she peaked up from beneath her silver bangs.
