Chapter 11: Young Lady.

Stephan’s eyes lingered over Kael for a second before they shifted back towards the ground.

"Kill every last person? What a joke."

"After witnessing that mana myself, I can fathom that he’s strong, but him defeating the commander? Not a chance."

Kael’s voice filled the air again. "Lead the way."

Stephan gulped, his gaze shifted towards the soldiers. "Tie mana-binding cuffs on his wrists."

They all froze as their bodies got covered in sweat. Silence fell over them for a while, but one of them spoke. "B-but vice commander... how can we?"

The showcase of prowess Kael made them realise that they don’t stand even close to a being like him.

"I can’t even blame them about this... that man is not someone whom we can deal with ourselves."

He gritted his teeth and looked right into Kael’s eyes. "Please don’t make it a bit harder for us."

Kael didn’t say anything, just simply directed his hands forward. "Go ahead and put them on."

A soldier stepped forward, although he wasn’t able to control the trembling steps of his own, he still managed to put the cuffs on Kael’s wrists.

Stephan looked at Kael, and then his gaze shifted towards the soldiers. "Let’s start moving."

All of them nodded instinctively and got into position. Two of them stood next to Kael, and the others led the way.

While they were travelling, their eyes didn’t leave Kael for even a second. They were scared because of the thought that he might try to rebel.

When they reached a couple of hundred meters inside the forest, almost towards the exit, a scream of multiple women fell into their ears, one sounded like that of a child.

Stephan froze, sweat covered his temple. "Fuck," he started running in the direction from where the sound came.

The rest of the soldiers exchanged glances, each of them looking utterly confused.

One of them stepped forward and said. "T-today, young lady Alicia had to come back from her academy,"

He paused for a moment before continuing, "Was that her?"

The next second, he started running after Stephan. His loud shout echoed through the surroundings as he yelled, "Don’t waste time! Follow behind them!"

Kael remained standing there as he closed his eyes. His mana left through his body and travelled straight towards the location. He noticed that there was a carriage in which a young girl who seemed to be around the age of twelve was, and a woman in her mid-twenties.

A few soldiers stood beside the carriage, their swords firmly gripped in their hands. In front of them stood a massive white tiger, whose snowflake-like fur shone beautifully. The beast’s build was nearly ten times larger than that of a normal human, giving off an overwhelming presence.

He gently opened his eyes and started travelling towards them. "I’ll use this situation for the peace of Sylas." freёwebnovel.com

"That man who came with those soldiers wasn’t particularly strong, at best, a four-star knight. There’s no way someone like him could handle that white tiger when its mana is comparable to that of a five-star knight."

When he reached there, he saw that every soldier was injured, and some of them were even on the ground struggling to catch their breath.

Blood had splattered all over the ground, but they all managed to protect the carriage in which the daughter of the Count was.

Stephan was still fighting the white tiger; his body was covered with scratches, and blood was coming through the spots.

The tiger seemed completely fine; there weren’t any major scars on it. The tiger started circling Stephan, eyes locked right onto him.

It lunged towards him, baring its fangs forward as it slashed the chest of Stephan. Blood flew across and splashed all over the ground.

A loud agonised scream escaped through Stephan’s mouth. "Ughhhh!!"

The sword escaped from his grip and fell on the ground. Right after that, his body gave out as he fell on his knees.

Kael stared at Stephan for a moment before finally revealing himself.

"You can’t even take down a single white tiger? The knights of this county are truly pathetic."

His gaze shifted towards the tiger, who had already started walking in circular motion, marking the area entirely.

"I’ll help you out once, but you’ll have to give a good word about me to that master of yours."

Stephan gritted his teeth. "Saving the young lady is the top priority for now... and it’ll not be too bad for us to get this man on our side."

He took a deep breath and said. "O-okay, I’ll do that."

After that, Kael shifted his gaze back towards the white tiger. "I don’t have time to play with a little kitten like you."

He directed his finger towards the white tiger, but before he could do anything else, the tiger took a step towards him.

The beast’s fur instantly rose as it sensed that something was wrong. A dangerous presence had locked onto it.

Without wasting a single moment, the white tiger lunged toward Kael. It bared its teeth viciously, sharp fangs protruding fully as a growl escaped from its throat.

Kael’s mana directly travelled towards the beast, and while it was in mid-air, the mana caught it there, making it float in the air.

"As I said, I don’t have time to play with you. Sylas might wake up any minute now."

He raised his other hand as crimson mana began circulating through it. Kael swung it once, and a massive slash shot toward the tiger, beheading it in one clean strike.

The trees standing behind the beast were also sliced in half, while countless others were reduced to dust by the sheer force of the mana.
