Chapter 631: Chapter 356: I Will Win (Double-Length)
"Ah?"
Mira was taken aback upon hearing this, then quickly reacted with some delight.
"Captain Rogel, you’re back?"
Rogel nodded, came to her side, and dragged a chair over to sit down.
"Thank you for handling the Adventurer’s Guild matters, have things been progressing smoothly?"
Of course, Rogel knew the ins and outs of the Adventurer’s Guild; whenever he had time, he would observe the Faith territories under his governance.
He just wanted to know Mira’s perspective on the matter.
"Yes."
Mira nodded. With precedents to deter troublemakers and the endorsement of the Black Tide Secret Society, naturally no inattentive chamber of commerce or gang would come to cause trouble; the Adventurer’s Guild was developing very rapidly.
"These adventurers are very passionate about exploration."
"And you, how do you feel about such a life?" Rogel laughed.
Upon hearing this, Mira couldn’t help but laugh too, "Captain, I guess you’re asking whether I prefer life at sea or life here, right?"
Rogel did not deny it; he did want to know this.
After all, with the current developments, it was no longer possible for him to wander around exploring with the Gelin as he had before.
In response, Mira thought for a moment, closed the book in her hands, and said seriously to Rogel, "Actually, it doesn’t really matter to me. I want to learn and understand the history and knowledge of this world, then organize and compile them all..."
"If possible, I’d like to build the largest library in the world!"
Speaking of this, Mira’s expression was somewhat excited.
Seeing this, Rogel lowered his head and smiled, it seemed he was overthinking things; the current life seemed more suitable for Mira.
Then, he couldn’t help but consider what Mira had mentioned.
Housing all knowledge, the largest library in the world...
"Building the library might be easy, but the collection inside will have to be something you manage, Librarian Mira."
Rogel said to her.
Mira’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, Rogel’s words undoubtedly meant he would support her idea.
"Yes, Captain Rogel!"
Mira replied enthusiastically, saluting Rogel, who couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Then give it your all, Crew Member Mira."
Rogel smiled, stood up, and his figure turned into black mist and slowly dissipated.
...
Scott Hospital.
As the people’s demand increased, facilities like hospitals naturally were established accordingly.
Lina, at this moment, was wearing a white coat, leading a group of trainees to check on a patient’s condition.
Black mist gathered, and Rogel appeared behind them, but he did not speak to interrupt them, instead observing silently.
"Alright, you’re fine, just remember to rest more when you go back."
After examining the patient, Lina turned, ready to lead the group of trainees to continue working.
However, when she saw Rogel at the doorway, she couldn’t help but pause.
Realizing, she smiled and said to the trainee assistant beside her, "You all go to the pharmacy room and wait for me."
The trainees took a look at Lina, then at Rogel, and sensibly left.
Once the group of trainees left, Lina walked forward.
"Shall we talk outside, Captain Rogel?"
She looked at Rogel and said with a smile.
After saying that, she walked towards the door.
However, after two steps, she noticed Rogel hadn’t moved from his spot, and turned back to look at him with curiosity.
"Coming?"
Rogel shrugged, then slightly bent forward and reached out his hand, smiling, "I have a quicker way, want to try it, Miss?"
Lina blinked when she heard this, without much thought, she slowly extended her hand and placed it in Rogel’s palm.
Instantly, the Black Tide surged, enveloping the two of them.
In a blink of an eye.
Their figures appeared in a tranquil and fragrant flower field.
After glancing around, Lina couldn’t help but show a hint of happiness in her eyes, "So many flowers!"
Seeing this, Rogel smiled as well, "During your time at Scott’s, how have you felt?"
His question brought Lina’s thoughts back, she pondered for a moment and said, "It’s alright, just very busy."
To Rogel’s crew, Sharo was entirely unreserved, not only assigning a bunch of trainees to Lina, the doctor, but also handing many tasks over to her.
However, the shortage of staff at Scott wasn’t a recent issue, Rogel naturally knew about this.
"What do you think, don’t you like this kind of life?"
Rogel was slightly puzzled.
He could sense some of Lina’s emotions.
Regarding these tasks, she seemed to have a feeling of non-resistance, but also wasn’t particularly fond of them.
"No." Lina shook her head upon hearing this.
Then, she sighed slightly, looked at Rogel, as if she had much to say.
Rogel quietly waited for her to speak.
"...Actually, during this time, I’ve been pondering a question... whether to consider continuing with the promotion."
She said.
This promotion, of course, referred to the tier advancement for an Extraordinary.
As a crew member of the Gelin, it wasn’t just her; Yas and others had been at the Apostle Tier for some time now.
They naturally met the promotion criteria.
But, once promoted to the Deputy Tier, it meant they couldn’t stop moving forward afterward; the influence and erosion of Authority Power would urge the existence of this tier to continue advancing until they either promoted further or... perished.
Rogel had informed them of this.
Thus, Lina’s dilemma lay here.
"If I continue with the promotion, I won’t be able to continue this relatively ordinary life, and there’s a risk of losing oneself in power..."
"But if I don’t promote... I won’t be able to help you."
